Hello, I’m new here. Have an older car trailer (Bj 78) with an acceptable total weight of 800kg. In the vehicle license is the tyre size 75R14. However, this is no longer available. Mounted are 185/60/R14 82H. At the main examination at GTÜ it was criticized that the tyres are not allowed. Where can I find a permissible spare size? I found nothing suitable.

Pirelli Scorpion STR or Pirelli Scorpion Verde All-Season?
Hello municipality, for our Nissan Qashqai+2 2.0dci 4×4 automatic we are currently interested in a complete set of all-year tyres. Since the selection for the original 18″ Nissan rim with corresponding parts report is not very large, we are currently interested in the following models: – Pirelli Scorpion STR – Pirelli Scorpion Verde All-Season It would be the following dimension: – 235/50 R18 97H M+S The “STR” seems to be on the market since 2004/2005. Testberich There are also some to read and are largely positive for the “STR”. However, I don’t find any reports about the “Verde All-Season”. Is the tyre so new that general tests have not yet taken place? Does anyone drive the “Verde All-Season” here and can say something about this tire? It should be a classic all-year tire with noise & roll optimization. Thank you very much, Kandaules PS: Please no discussion about sense and meaning. With an annual speed of 10-12.000km you can already reach for such a “compromise solution”. Especially since here left-rheinisch of Cologne rather harmless snowfalls prevail and the car is left standing anyway under really fierce conditions.

Tires damaged, kulant handling with customers
Hello together, this post is aimed at the tyre dealers among us (how do you deal with something like that), on the other hand at the customers among us (what is your expectation to the dealer). I am looking forward to a lively conversation… What happened? A new customer comes to me for the first time ( last year to the winter season ) and wants to have removed the good, hardly worn out summer tires from the aluminium rims and have reassembled the winter tires on the same set of aluminium rims n. The summer tyres are already 3 years old, so they have already been dismantled at least 1x, which the customer has confirmed to me. Since it is not a Runflat, I accept the order (if I have not mounted the Runflat tyres, I reject the disassembly/assembly of used Runflat for reasons of liability). I give the summer tyres to the customer, everything is good. This week the customer comes back, same game for the summer season. When the summer tyres are assembled, the massive Bes This damage I did not notice during the dismantling. Since it is a simple tire (no runflat, no small low cross section) and I noticed nothing during the dismantling, I assume that the damage was caused by my “forerunner”. If I can not prove it, it is also not about this. After I kindly informed the customer of my guess, I have refunded the tire at my expense. ch was just the last fitter, so I’m standing straight. Afterwards I tried to recreate this damage with a used rim from my stock, unfortunately only with moderate success. Now @ the dealers among us, how do you deal with this? This is not about who is the nicest or the like. I will reject such orders from now on, since you automatically take part here for the “predecessor”. Many greetings

Determine the age of the rims
Hello, I need your help. I bought rims from the manufacturer VW via a dubious seller at Ebay. Unfortunately, 2 rims are defective (painting off) although “new” purchased. Well, I took some pictures and would like to know the date of manufacture if this is possible. Thank you already for the help. The rims are 17″ “Salvator”

Tyre advice for my vehicle
Good day, After having problems with the current RFT tyres on my E90, I have now looked around for non RFT ́s. Tires Dimensions: VA 225/40/18, HA 255/35/18 My vehicle: E90 3.0 Diesel Driving profile: 20tkm/year, 80% city traffic, 20% city highway (80km/h), once a year there may be a longer route if you are on holiday with your car (600-800km at a time). Drive rather rarely sporty, since this is not possible in the city. Now to the candidates: Vre destein Ultrac Vorti Nexen NFera SU1 Why this one? Good reviews read here on MT (especially on the NFera) or because they did well in car tests. Now I would like to know which one you would like to take. Perhaps also price-likely to propose. But in the first line I can not decide at the moment and would like to know which one you would like to take. I like both and would like to test both, but can not decide. Which one do you recommend to me? n on my driving profile, etc.? Thanks already!

Tire storage as possible?
Moin, I have a set of WR without rim, which I have to store somehow first. Unfortunately, the possibilities are limited. I have this wooden shed available and following construction considered with two wooden slats. However, I would need feedback from the professionals and experienced if this is so “good” for the tires. I could still pack the tires in black plastic bags so that they are protected from the sun. Does that work, until the winter (~October/November) or do I have to r think about something else? Thank you and greetings!

Year-round tire 235/55 R18 searched: The spoilt of choice
Hello dear people, for my Tiguan II 2.0 TSI 4motion I am looking for new all-year tyres. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s all too easy to choose from. I don’t think it’s important to put all too much value on the information provided by the EU tyre label. In current tests, the car image is mostly recommended for all-year tyres from Michelin, Continental and Vredestein. Unfortunately, the Contis do not have any rim protection and therefore fall out. The Michelin Cross Climate is quite expensive with around 140€:https://www.reifen.com/…/15231964?. .. Vredestein Quatrac 5 at around 125€:https://www.reifen.com/…/15173026?… What about a Hankook? It costs around 110€ and, according to the EU label, has class B in wet grip compared to Vredestein:https://www.reifen.com/…/15285279?… I would be very happy about your help and assessment! Have a nice evening!

Let the tires vulcanize after driving at 0.8 bar for a short time?
Hello, Michelin Alpin A4 195/65 R15 91T with 7 mm profile (two winters). A few weeks ago the ESP spoke several times on almost dry road. It turned out that a tire had only 0.8 bar. I filled it up, after each about 2 – 3 weeks it was down again to about 1.5 bar. I removed it now and found in the water bath in the tread in a profile groove a nail (with turned off head) which I had missed before. After pulling the nail The tyre was empty within about 1 hour. After used A4 rarely individually and if yet, with only 4 – 5 mm profile are offered: worth possibly Vulcanizing? At the 0.8 bar the tyre was more bleak on the sides when looking closely, but it was by no means so that I would have driven on the rim. From the first occurrence of the ESP problems until filling up I drove a maximum of 60 km in city traffic and country road up to 80 km/h, with a maximum of 10 km at a time. Still tires have been washed through too much?

Conti TS 850: 3x Made in Slovakia, 1x Made in Romania
Hello, I found out today (late, but still), that with my current winter tyre set (205/55 R16 91H) three tyres come from Slovakia and one from Romania. I came up with this because I look at the things more closely as usual when changing tyres, and I noticed that three still have 6.5-7mm profile, one only 5mm. All four were bought at the same time in November 2013 at the dealer. The set has about 30,000km down. The with the 5mm is the Romanian tire. Fr age: Is the problem with the different tires at Conti or with my tyre dealer? I conclude from this that Conti has a problem with the quality of its Eastern European plants. Did Conti write that they should take a stand on the problem. What does your tyre experts think about it? Achja: Auto is a purely long-haul Audi A6 from 2003, 180hp diesel front scratcher.
