  • Tire flank suddenly torn

Hello, yesterday my parents experienced an unpleasant event with the tire and fortunately it did not cause an accident. Tires at the front right suddenly broke during the ride. They were only two in VW Caddy (it was not loaded) and were not traveling so fast (about 70-80 kmh). The tyre pressure was tested last week and tires are not yet 2 years old and not much used (about 12000 km/year). And there was so far no known damage of these tires (when parking next to the curb edge etc.). But despite that, the tire flank is completely torn. Under these circumstances, I still don’t understand why this can happen? Can it be a defective tire, any manufacturing errors? Tomorrow we talk to the tyre trade, but I also wanted to ask you and get your opinions to understand why a tire can get so weirdly broken? • Rougher rear tyres

Hello together, I drive an A3 Sportback 8P BJ 2011. In spring I had new summer tires raised. Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimetrico 235er. Now I was in the workshop to pull up the winter tires and it was found that the rear tires were much more driven than the front. i.e. rest profile front 6mm and rear only 2.5mm. Before the summer tires were pulled up, also a chassis measurement was carried out. Lt. statement of the workshop were There is no plausible explanation why this unusual wear has happened. In the year before there were no abnormalities in the wear of the tires. The abrasion at the rear is symmetrical and even and the workshop says it can only be on the tires. I am at the moment rather perplexed as to the cause. Will now measure the wear of the winter tires weekly and check whether this continues. Has someone ever experienced this or not. an idea what this could be about? Brakes in the back are not fixed.

  • Same tire, very different readings in the test

Hello, the car, engine and sport tested eleven summer tyres in one of their last editions, when 205/55 R16 V. The Bridgestone Turanza T001 was also there. 2014: The wet brake path from 100 km/h to standstill was 65.3 meters. A year ago the car, engine and sport had already tested the Bridgestone Turanza T001. Test size was 205/55 R16 V. 2013: The wet brake path from 100 km/h to standstill was 49.4 meters. The same tire in the same size, and then a Br In the test from this March the difference between the best and the worst wet brake in the test (Conti Premium Contact 5 and GT Radial Champiro VP1) was only 14.1 meters. This time the Bridgestone only landed on the 9th and thus third last place, “gravious weaknesses in wet brake”. A year ago he was still in fifth place, “brake level only average”. I’m not talking about the Bridgestone, it could also be a But, does anyone have a plausible explanation for these different braking distances? A little different temperatures or so shouldn’t be enough for such a difference. Oh, the Conti Premium Contact 5 was also present in both tests. Wet brake path 2013: 48.8 meters Wet brake path 2014: 51.9 meters MfG, Tazio1935

  • Battery impact screwdriver wanted ?

Hello forum, it’s time to raise the summer bikes again. That’s why I’m looking for a good, robust and powerful battery impact wrench. I’m looking for these two:http://www.metabo.de/…rte-power tools.23744+M5477816a04a.0.htmlhttp://www.bosch-professional.com/en/gdx-18-v-li-33393-ocs-p/ Now the question, which of the two can do more for money and which is more robust? The two are roughly similar in price. However, the higher torque. At the Bosch I don’t like this complete plastic housing (looks a bit cheap). Who has experience with the two manufacturers ? Greetings and many thanks !!!

  • Experience Conti Wintercontact TS 860 wanted

Hello, I’m looking for new winter tyres in the dimension 195 65 R15. Are there any experiences? According to test reports this should be good, but I’m interested in the practice of other drivers. Thank you

  • DOT 2013 19 inch tyres all year/all weather

Good day dear people, I have a question for you. I would need the tires in size 225/40/19 as full-year tires. This size is only available from Pirelli. Otherwise this does not make a brand. I found a cheap offer on Ebay(half price) and the seller thinks that the profile is untied. The tires were therefore only stored. But DOT on tires is 4413. That means they have been stored for almost 6 years. (so these have to be sold as used) Do you believe these tires are safe and worthwhile? I pay 800 for new tyres, for the 6 years old 400€. Thank you!

  • Drive tires on the outside?

Hello people , On my vehicle the front tyres have run off outside, but 80% of the tyres still have very good profile about 7mm. I currently lack the necessary small change to change the tires. However, I always drive long distance and am unsure if something can happen. Of course, nobody can tell me before but wanted to get me information about this topic anyway. Can it somehow burst the tires? Should I drive with normal air pressure or with slightly increased air pressure so that the center of the tire has more tread?

  • Used purchased tires – cracks on the tire bead

Since my summer tyres were quite down after 30,000 kilometers last autumn, I bought private used tyres from Bridgstone 165/50 R15 for the original rims of my cop. Unfortunately, I had a nasty surprise today. My Daihatsu dealer could not pull the tyres on the rims himself, because the cross-section is too small and drove them especially for me to a tyre dealer. According to my dealer, the tyre dealer refused these tyres to mo It is said that the tires were removed from the rim with such a machine as my dealer has and not with a special machine for low cross-section tyres. What do you think, is it really dangerous to have such tires re-assembled? I once attached 2 pictures of the cracks, it is always a place that has been torn down per wheel.

  • Build your own rim spoiler

Hello everyone, I have a defective force mashine would like to turn this one rim polishing machine. My idea: from a washing machine engine over a rib belt the shaft should be driven. Question 1: I absolutely need a speed regulator (where to buy?) Question 2: assumed the engine turns with 3000 rpm the circumference of the strap disc on the engine is 10cm, the circumference strap disc on the shaft 30cm so the shaft turns with 1000 rpm Question 3:how much U/min will be born to polish the rims Smoked?

  • Tyre choice

Hello to everyone! I need new summer tyres. My standard tyres are 185/55 R15. Since my rims are still good I think about mounting a little wide for optical reasons. I can still mount sizes such as 205/55 R 15 or 205/60 R15 or 225/50 R15 according to parts opinion. Would like to hear your opinion which tire size you would recommend to me. Maybe it helps you that it is an A-Class with 95 Ps. Thank you for your opinion. Greeting Chris
