  • Dunlop Winter Sport 3D 195/65 R15 91T suitable for summer?

Hello everyone… I have recently bought a used BMW 316ti compact. Unfortunately, I only had to find out later that the Dunlop Winter Sport 3D tyres are attached to the car instead of annual tyres (as I would have expected, since the dealer told me that it would be annual tyres). Are the tyres now suitable for the summer also or should I rather switch to summer tyres? Because 4 of them already cost me 500ers in about. Does it mean wear and tear if I continue to use it in the summer? so I usually only drive in urban traffic with moderate driving. Thanks in advance!

  • Tires lose air and no one knows why!

Hi guys, my winter tires are losing air in a mysterious way. The valves are tight and the tires are also healing, yet they lose up to 2 bar within a few. The workshop of my trust also doesn’t know any more. Maybe one of you has a clue about tires and can help me. I would be grateful about every little tip!

  • Which tyres are best suited for these dimensions?

Hello guys I bought these tires via eBay. Now I need another set of summer tires and am not sure what to look for when buying in my case. I drive an Audi A4 B5 with 1.8l engine. Approved are: 205/55R 16 83H 205/55R 16 83V 205/55R 16 84H 205/55R 16 84V 205/55R 16 91H 205/55R 16 91V Now I had looked and hit something. Brands like Continental, Goodyear, Michelin or Bridgestone. But there costs 4 tires between 300 and 420 Euro. I in summer, maybe up to 4000km a year. Most of them are motorways. But my A4 can’t go faster than 200. Otherwise city and federal roads rides. Do brand tires make sense or do noname tires go for a total of 200 euros in my requirements?

  • Rim repair/doctor

Hello, who can call me in the vicinity Nuremberg/Fürth an inexpensive rim repair company, except the rims Klinic which takes a long time and is relatively expensive.Have not yet brought my 4 summer shoes to clean and need to be repaired as soon as possible….. Are 19″ RS wheels

  • First tyre breakdown, then ADAC with emergency repair and then “tire no longer repairable”

Hello friends, I would like to discuss the following case with you and experience your experience: Vehicle: Mercedes C270 CDI, Tires: Good Year Eagle 225/45/ZR17 I went to the office with good air pressure – while on the way there seems to have been a bit of drilling, so after 8-9 hours there was no air in the front left tire at the end of the day. From experience I did not move the vehicle and called the ADAC, which I told on the phone about the existence of my spare tire . The troubleshooter was there quickly, but did not want to pull my spare wheel on it. Since the foreign body had penetrated exactly in the middle of the tread, he worked it with an emergency repair kit and stuffed it. For this he removed the foreign body, opened the hole and then introduced a “vulcanization strip” with a T-shaped tool. The problem was solved. Now he said that I should have it repaired on occasion in a tyre workshop and the right one. In the end I visited the recommended tyre dealer from the ADAC homepage in person. All dealers have finally said the same thing: after an emergency repair can no longer be further processed. This means in concrete terms, the ADAC would simply have pulled the spare tyre on it, instead of inserting the patching set, the tyre could have been repaired normally and permanently. In addition, the other front tyres should be changed, because the “belongs together”. My tyres were bought last summer and hardly driven, so almost new and unfortunately also expensive in size. From a damage of 20-30€ now 320€ for 2 new tyres have been made. As a result, I complained to the ADAC and demanded compensation, since it did not make the true repair of my tire possible any more h The situation is two days ago, but I’ll be happy to keep you informed.

  • 225/45 R17 91 – What brand, series ?

Good day, I’m about to choose which summer tyres I’m going to buy for the first time. (The old ones are too awesome). Now I’ve made a little smart, and I’ve come across, for example, an ADAC test with corresponding sizes, which is also relatively up-to-date. But there is the Michelin PilotSport 3 and not the current 4s. Also from Continental there is PremiumContact 6. I wonder which more suitable is ? PremiumContact 6 or ContiSport 5 ? As a rule, I can do more than that, because more is going to be taken to the limits when driving sports. However, I read that Continental wears off very quickly. Others are too loud, or the steering wheel starts to shake at a certain speed. It seems to me that it is a huge science made of it. I also read the PilotSport 4 thread, and the experiences are quite different, because it also depends heavily on the driving mode. I am personally someone who drives so 60% city and 40% highway/road. I personally drive a BMW E90 (3er) with a R6 engine. So I find these “tire discussions” here have taken a similar extent as the discussions about “premium fuel” or “premium oils, viscosity etc.”, there is simply no factual question about the tires. Conclusion. I would be very grateful to you for a few answers Brands are by the way almost no matter, but the tire should logically be able to do everything as well as possible.

  • Infos about new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 ?

Hello, does anyone have any information about the new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3? The tire should appear soon, but there is no information available. The new Jaguar XF models will be delivered in 18″ already with the new Goodyear rubbers. Thanks in advance. LG.

  • Tyres at the edge are more worn out

Hello all, I have a Golf 2.0 TDI 140PS and I am always very fast on the road. I always speed with torque and always very fast so with 3/4 gas to reach my desired speed and then drive sprite-saving. I drive approx. 2x 70km daily. Of this 35km a very curvy track where I always let it crash (100-120 continuous), 20km highway where I drive between 140-180 kmh and at the end again a relatively curvy developed country road with 100. always front and back so that I have pretty much the same tires, because I want to change all completely. I have now on the Laufläche approx. 3.5-4mm and on the edge all 4 tires have only just 2mm. The track was set last year because a new crossbar came in and this year already. The car drives so straight. So on the track it can not lie the values are top. Also the fall is true. So it really comes from daily 70km cornering… Now i the question, where do the policemen measure? How does it look in Austria / Slovenia / Croatia? Thank you.

  • Desperate- What to do to get registration?

Hello, I was interested in the Schmidt Revolution Drago rims for my Peugeot 308 SW II in 8.5×19 ET48. After some emails with the sales and the previous protection at the TÜV I ordered the rims at the sales department. I have to mention before that in the corresponding part report only the 200 kW variant occurs and thus only the tyres 235/35/19. However, I can not drive this with 96kW, because in all comparison reports of 8.5×19 a speedometer check un d if necessary an approximation threatens (according to the tire calculator one is with the 1.6% in the deviation). A standard tire in the dimension 19 inches for the 96kW is the 225/35/19. I also wanted to drive this and assured myself at the sales in advance if feasible. Answer : Yes, but by individual acceptance. So I asked the TÜV and if really feasible. The first TÜV did not bother at all and waved off, because there are no comparison reports for the car with the funny ET48. wide TÜV I got to a very nice examiner, who confirmed to me after examination of the reports that there are no comparison reports, but then told me that he could enter the rims if I submitted the following things : – A certificate from the corresponding tyre manufacturer, that the 225/35/19 can be mounted on a 8.5×19 rim. He allegedly wanted this because he would not have found this tyre size on a 8.5×19 as permitted in any comparison report, but only Apparently in 40’s height, this is a standard tyre as I said. I have the certificate at home now. – A new axle measurement protocol, because I also drive a lowering, which, however, was registered earlier by means of an axle measurement protocol in connection with the series rims. However, according to my tyre dealer, I would only need this, if the spring legs were changed. I don’t get it right. – Then he demands that I drive 3 mm track plates. e so that I come to a common ET (45) for which he can again use a comparative opinion for registration. For this he estimated costs in the amount of about 200,- Euro, so I started from a single purchase. To my question whether there were any 3 mm track plates at all and whether these would somehow cause problems with the registration, he told me “of course there is this” and “no, if I drive that, then we have a real ET and he can make the registration”. I then ordered the rims and got the payment instruction, as everything runs on advance payment at Schmidt. I transferred the amount on Friday afternoon after the booking time. On the following Saturday, however, two passages in the report of the track plates did not leave me alone. And indeed, there was the screw type flat bundle for assembly. the approved rims were only 8×18, but with another size a special test was arranged with regard to the important criteria. I took the test report and drove to the TÜV. There I met a very arrogant colleague of the first examiner, who had immediately flashed me with the words that one could not allow 3 mm track plates at all, because the center centering was then too short. I said that I was not able to But a colleague wanted to register it. Then I should make it clear with him that he was back in the house on Tuesday. Because of a lot of uncertainty I wrote an e-mail to the Schmidt-Vertrieb at home asking for my order until further notice. Monday in the late morning came an answer that my payment had been received and that the rims were already in production. I did not believe that anyway because I was called a delivery time of 14 days, but what would I have On Tuesday I then called the original examiner and discussed with him the report that I left him in his compartment on Saturday. He said to the flat-band screws that if this is in there, then it must be done in this way. He said to the rim sizes that he unfortunately then cannot make a registration, because he can’t close his eye almost twice (my tyre size does not appear in the rim report and now not the desired rim in the frame) No, the answer was. They explained to me that the discs were tested at the time with a rim with flat-band screws and that the wheel/tire sizes were the usual ones in the case of expert reports. However, a registration would be quite possible and it would be logical that these data were only examples. I then complained of my suffering in the distribution of Schmidt. He did not understand the world anymore. and wrote to me that he will take care of the TÜV. However, he was clear from the beginning that I wanted to drive 225/35/19 and I always gave him interim report of my experiences at the TÜV. In life I would not have thought of a black entry, I had expected that he would recommend me a corresponding examiner with which he worked together. Otherwise I would have reminded him of my lowering again. On Thursday then the message : rims are registered, proof of change k ommt per mail, if I transfer costs, he sends rims out. My first thought : What about the lowering. So I went yesterday to the Dekra and to KÜS. The Dekra didn’t ask very well why the existing lowering was not taken into account in a new rim entry and only said that you have to enter it again and that I should definitely bring the old survey protocol and the expert reports with me. the feathers had to be registered, immediately looked at that it was probably a black entry and was then more interested in questioning everything than to give me information. After all, however, they thought that one had to make a change acceptance according to §19 (3). Today came the post office. As assumed, he registered the rims on the basis of the rim report with 235/35/19, although it was known that I wanted to drive the 225. Now I should pay 70,- Euro for it and can This was the problem that no TÜV wanted to register on other 8.5×19 rims as standard possible 225er. Now I wrote to him again and still expect answer. But he will not be able to conjure up a single acceptance from a distance. This afternoon I just called the mentioned examiner privately and we talked for an hour. He really wanted to help me and promised me on the small service. g to exchange the change certificate if I get a supplement from the desired tyre from Schmidt. But I had already telephoned with Schmidt at that time and there will be no supplement. The existing report was a customer request for which the customer would have paid. Now I hang in the air and do not know what to do. I have to write Schmidt rims before tomorrow, but they will probably make no acceptance according to §19 (3) if there is no supplement e gibt. The distribution has me in hand with the 70,- Euro demand and I do not yet have a TÜV, who wants to register the rims. Only solution : but to drive the 235. However, the more expensive, heavier and have for the 96kW more friction. In addition, the energy values of the consumption of “C” jump from “E” or even “F”. These were, in addition to the tacho history the reasons why I also wanted to drive the 225. Another question about the individual acceptance : Today I have irge ndwo in a forum read something about it that only the rim of the acceptance is allowed with a rim individual acceptance and that all other serial rims are painted. Does anyone know what I describe and whether that is true? What should I do? LG, Thorsten

  • Problem with rims

Hello people, I bought me today super cheap rims. Used goods. They are unfortunately not in the best condition, since they were also driven in winter. However, the price per rim was also ridiculously low that I still struck. My question is now, where do the stains / streaks on the rims come from? Salt? And the most important thing is, how do the out:-D? Thanks for your help
