  • Experience with the rim manufacturer “Avus” and tyres Imperial (!?)

Moin Moin, we expect our first 5s of the new generation and want to equip them with winter bikes or offer them. I came across the following offer on eBay: http://www.ebay.de/…/172816509258?… Sounds good at first sight, especially because also equipped with RDK, which we know has after every new 5s!? Nevertheless, there are several questions for us: 1. Has an experience with the brand Avus? What about the quality? 2. The tires are available with Pirelli (naturally tenur) he) or Imperial, Tracemax? What are the latter? Cheap Chinaware? 3. Does anyone have experience with the dealer? Profile looks quite reasonable. Or does anyone have a better offer for us? Best regards from the North Mark

  • Year-round tires for Skoda, first car?

Hello I have a SKODA Octavia 1.6 fsi limousine. Currently I live in a mountain country. Drive quite little. My winter tires have held for 11 years. I have to replace them because the tires have become too hard but profile was still good. The summer tires have to be completely replaced next year (7 years old). Currently or until now I drive under 5000 km /year. But I am looking for work and it may be that I have to continue driving or would move directly, the na I don’t want to change tires every six months. Should I switch to all-year tyres in my situation, or do I prefer to buy summer/winter tyres separately?

  • Ratio between 7.5 and 8 inches

Hello dear forum, I have a question for you, I’m driving at the moment at my Golf 7 – 18 inch 7.5 et45, with 225/40 R18 Since I have now ordered winter tyres with rims, and unfortunately this was only available in 8.0 et45 , with 225/40 r18 Could it get a little tight now with me on the fender, because I have installed a H&R Deep 110mm. Can one tell me how much more of the tires are moving to the fender? There was no big difference about tire computers in netzt.

  • Trailer tires + rim searched

Hello, I have the following problem: car trailer, 35 years old, 1* rim + tire broken Current: 5Jx14, 5*108*63 rim 185 R14C tires I apparently can’t get the rim anymore What would be a suitable replacement that is still available – would then simply buy 2* tires + rims In registration certificate and type certificate neither rim, nor tires are indicated. 5*108 at 14″ should there be no more – there are 15/16 inch rims/tires that I could use? Thank you!

  • Winter tyres don’t know any more slowly

Hello, I slowly despair …. Have an Audi A3 limousine and am looking for winter shoes so well. I first had the MAM A1 in 18 inch 8J ET 42 selected there I had a Dunlop winter sports 5 (with rim protection) 225/40 R18 mounted there was the rim about 3-4 mm above so that the rim protection had no function at all. I then looked around after a rim the narrower is so the choice on the Oxigin 18 concave in 18 inch 7.5J ET 45 was now there also the Dunlop is mounted and also there the rim is above ….! The rim is about 12.7mm narrower why the tire is still not above the rim outside …… Hmmmm perplexity

  • All-year tire?

Moin… I need a new winter tire set and my summer tire set is also no longer the hit… Well my question… Should I rather get two sets or a set with all-year tyres? I drive 245/40R18 tires… Since I live in northern Germany I have little snow (had a good 2 days this year where we had snow^^). Besides, I drive almost only city. I look forward to your answers

  • Winter tyres: 215 55 R16 or 225 55 R16?

Hello, my father-in-law bought all-year tires for his Primera and gave me his aluminium rims (Ronal R46, 16″). They also fit with me. Since I got a 50€ voucher (Valid until 31.03) from the dealer where I ordered my complete summer bikes, I will probably have to prefer the purchase of the winter tires for the next season. According to the rim report I can take both 215 55 R16 and 225 55 R16. Original I have 215 on steel rims. The price is Are there advantages or disadvantages if I take the 225? Since I live in the Rhineland, the wetness is more important than the snow characteristics. Thank you

  • Insert rims, press-in depth just next to it

Hello, I get 1.2 aluminium wheels for my Renault mode from a Renault Mégane. The rim size 6J15 fits, the hole circle 4×100 also. The press-in depth of +43 corresponds to my current steel rims 5.5J15. I find at various manufacturers part reports for 6J15 rims with all kinds of tyre approvals, the size 185/60R15 is always there. The press-in depths vary from +35 to +45 mm, among other things there are 42 and 44 mm, just 43 m m not. Can I buy the rims and assume that I will also get them registered if I present the comparison reports to the TÜV? What does this usually cost? The TÜV gives information only about a 0190 number and my Renault dealer knows nothing at all (“except the rims that are on it, you can’t drive anything”. Thank you for the help. Unfortunately, I didn’t find enough concretely in the search.

  • Low cross-section tyres Approval criteria?

Hi, I have a great Golf 2 with 14 Brock rims. At the moment there are still the 195/45 tires, which the previous owner had mounted on it. Since the offer with a cross-sectional ratio of 40 is bigger, I would like to know what I have to look where to get no trouble with the dear state! Is this only according to the (registered) rims or is also interested in the car around it?
