  • Warning signal when light is on

    Hello guys, I’m new here and I’ve already read some topics, really a great forum. I bought a Renault Laguna 1.8 16V and it’s really a nice car. Unfortunately I have 2 small problems now, one I will specify in another topic, the other is: Normally there should be a warning signal when the engine etc. is switched off, but the light is still on and the door is opened. Unfortunately the signal doesn’t sound, besides, I noticed that ss also the on-board computer does not indicate when the door is open (all other doors show this). Can it be that the “sensor” or button does not realize that the door is open? Can someone tell me where this switch is exactly so that I can check it? Or are there other solution suggestions? I am very grateful about help. MfG

  • Buy Laguna II Kombi dci?

    Hello I’m from another forum and wanted to know if you can tell me something about the following vehicle (have read some negative things here about the engine…): Renault Laguna II Kombi 1,9l Diesel with 120 hp, built 2002, 140000km, switch, Incial equipment and quite all the extras (Xenon, leather, Navi…). Looks good and costs (in Ö, so slightly higher prices than in D) 7900 euros. Would you like to buy the car (unless I’m strictly advised not to do so), what should I pay attention to, What are the vulnerabilities? As an alternative for me, a Ford Mondeo Kombi 2.0 TDCI (130hp) stands for 8800 euros with less extras, but 110000km and built in 2004. What do you say? Thanks and MfG

  • 2.0 16V F4R engine has no power and the crusher glows

    Hello municipality, the Laggi is a real long-distance car and so far I drove perfectly. Now I start, drive normally and after about 1km the engine has no more power. The idle runs down to 400 and it sounds very dull and hollow. I turn and drive back home, altogether about 4km. The Laggi squirts now also out of the bonnet. At 50km/h the current consumption is at 22-25 Ltr./100km. In the garage I leave the smoke out of the engine compartment and see that the cracker at least The electrodes of the candles are black. Does the brown edge have something to say? From 1 to 4 it is getting weaker and weaker. Otherwise the electrodes are black. Now obviously my compression meter no longer works, although only used two times in total. On all cylinders it measures 3 bar. Now I compared with the Twingo and also here this 3 bar. And the Twingo runs great! In 9/2016 I changed the cat and since then e inen 99-EUR-Kat inside. ? But something still arrives at the exhaust. Does anyone have an idea about this?

  • Renault Laguna II 5 gears replacement in 6 gears

    Hello guys. Today I would have a bit of an extraordinary topic. I drive a Renault Laguna II 2001. This one has a five-speed manual transmission. As the speed is at 100 KMH at 3000 revolutions, I would like to have a sixth gear. Can anyone tell me if a transmission of another Laguna would fit in such a way to get a sixth gear. Of course, prefers an original Laguna II 6 gear. Also any other gearbox around the sixth gear finally Maybe someone can help me further. Now many people will say and think, buy you one with 6 gears. Yes I could do. However, this is the old car from my father, which he bought new times. Since he is always so happy when I travel by car, I hold it in honor.

  • Mysterious engine behaviour

    It’s a Laguna I Grand Tour, Motor 1,9l DTi You don’t know how to drive on a normal road and everything is fine. Then, from one moment to the other, the engine starts to run very rough… you might think he lost the oil draining screw. then, about 2 seconds later, the engine gives full throttle without anyone stepping on the gas! After the shock, you start to react…Bremsen… Kick the clutch… The following vehicles disappear in a white wall, so the car smokes. On ignition keys slightly turn back zim motor shut down no reaction.. So the 2nd gear in and the car brutally braked down and strangled.. A look into the engine room shows that it was sprayed around the area of the battery oil.. also drips some oil in this area on the ground. Now you could guess engine damage odda other things…. N and the best: about 5 minutes after that happened we just turn around the zünschlüssel – he jumps immediately without a sound… then squirts 5 – 10 seconds like sow and that ends then. And so he drove the 40 km with different stops well home as if never had been anything! Does someone have an idea now what that could have been?   • Shock absorber Laguna 3

    Hello together, I wanted to ask how your experience with the shock absorbers at Laguna 3 is. How many kilometers did they hold with you or when did you change them, regardless of the condition? I have now 140,000 km (the last 60,000 in my possession) and I suspect that there are still the first ones on it. Since the chassis itself is very grim, it is difficult to judge from the feeling. I am currently on the road in Belgium and it is very unpleasant. Who in Belgium with the Car was, I know what I’m talking about. Which would you recommend? KYB (original), Bilstein or Monroe? Are there differences e.g. sporty or comfortable between the manufacturers? Which better harmonize with the Laguna 3, Phase 1? Thank you.

  • Internal filter,shock. Change urgently !!

    This is how the air filter and the INNENRAUMFILTER changed today. However, the Luffi was relatively full from 2019. Well, well. But the shock of the day came with the interior filter. Supposedly renewed in 2019 in service. Date on the filter 2017. Now you can argue whether the warehousing was or the skilfully 1x or 2x was omitted. If the really changed one really urgently should change the part every year. Luckily I just had a workshop vacuum cleaner there, which was still in the middle of ag away with my brother.   • Poltern VA / steering gear defective ? Instructions ?

    So dear community. After a little longer time I also have something again. My Laggi started to poltern on the VA. nobody found anything, Renault on the phone still naughty -> Is an old Laguna the poltern all. Great answer I thought to myself. Since indeed cross handlebars, track rods and everything else had no maintenance stump and had changed and nobody found anything more I decided to drive to the ATU branch once. They have some nice 3.99€ chassis check. Result -> Steering gearbox broken. W The mechanic had found something. I was astonished.. that’s exactly how it sounds. He then ruled out axial joint together with the independent Tüv expert who was walking around there. Both looked at this. So now my question… is this happening more often? Can it really be the steering gear? How elaborate is the change and how exactly do I proceed. I have to observe something. n during replacement? Can you remove this without lowering carriers? So practically the 2 screws down, track rods off and wires off as well as the steering rod off and then take that out sideways? How long does the change take? Vehicle see signature.. Laggi 2 Grandtout 2,2 dci Achja at the cost … So far ATU has the cheapest steering gear for 257,60€ Does the price fit only for the part ?

  • Laguna, engine hood emergency opening???

    Hi municipality, I drive tomorrow morning with my acquaintances about 550 km highway. Now we wanted to fill up the windscreen wiper water earlier and tension the wedge belt (which has been squeaking for some time a bit while starting). But stupid whites we can no longer open the bonnet. The pull rope on the lever under the steering wheel has too much play, levers unscrewed and thus also brought no success. Has someone an idea and also tells them how to unlock the bonnet from front or bottom so that we get back into the engine room to fix the problems. According to his statements, the lever has always been a bit hard-going, for oiling he doesn’t get any more Please help us/me, we want to save a workshop visit. m.f.g. T.f.G.   • Switching cable or switch rod broken, Laguna 2

    Hi, Renault Laguna 2, 135 hp gasoline 3333 / AEM bj. 2007 after a coupler change the reverse gear went partly only after 2-3 times uncoupled. The knauf was fixed during the 2 gears, I tried to get the gear out in the flowing traffic with some force, suddenly the gear lever was in all directions without moving again. No gear in it. I then suffused the gear and saw that dias rods, which on the gearbox direction switchgear l goes broken. I inserted the third gear by hand so that I could continue driving… Renault said without looking, they would have to order the entire switching set for 200 plus Knauf for 99 euro as that gets broken during the removal. 200 euro work. The question is whether it is fixed with it, whether in the spare parts catalog the pole belongs at all to the backdrop, and whether you can not do it yourself.. Find relatively little on the Internet about it…. Find hardly any spare parts…. Ht can help someone…
