Hello, I’ve had a new login to the forum because I didn’t find anything in the search for my problem. I’m driving a Twingo Gordini GT for 4years with the 1.2L 75KW turbo engine! My problem started in the summer after a car laundry and a following 60km highway ride at high speed: After about 50km the motor electronics switched off on emergency program and the yellow wrench lit up for the first time. The engine lost about 50% of the line and I stopped in the next parking lot. After the visual inspection revealed nothing, I started the engine again, the Kontrll light went off and I drove the remaining kilometers with about 150km/h without problems! Two weeks later I came after longer, faster AB ride at high temperatures into a traffic jam and the problem occurred the second time! When I drove now just a few weeks ago with Niesel rain again the 60km BAB with about 130km/h, then the known problem occurred when I was driving in the Hamburg city area. For the first time the engine ran very rough and also took off bad gas! Since this day the problem started with a little bit of trouble on the ride, I’s bug, I had to look at the length of clock.

Brake caliper fixed?
Hello together, on my twingo the front brakes are grinding on both sides. I disassembled the brake and cleaned everything thoroughly. I also disassembled the brake piston. The piston is flash-blank and both the seal and the cuff are undamaged. I cleaned the guide bolts thoroughly and greased them. They run clean as I see it. I replaced the coverings and the discs. I also changed the sealing ring in the brake piston socket. But if ic h strong brake, grinds the brake again. Have the feeling that, despite everything, the piston does not open far enough. What could be the cause and what can I do? Do you have ideas? Would I totally appreciate any advice! ?? Thank you in advance ??

high speed range?
Hello, I drive up a steep hill every day to work, where 100 is allowed, I drive a Twingo, bj 99, 43kw. Now to get up there with 80-90 km/h in order not to hinder the traffic, I switch down shortly before the climb into the 3rd gear. Now my question, do I drive there with 80 km/h in the 3rd gear already in the red speed range? Have no speed indicator. My question is because I have to drive up there every day and want to know whether this is in the long run or already with a few we nigen Malen, which could harm the engine? Thank you for your answers PS: if I ask, I would have a small one ) and I can often not spin my key, can then only move for a short time but not completely, so that the engine starts, must then try 3-4 times until it completely spins.

Renault Twingo C06 BJ. Dec. 99 Model 2000, checkbook ? Maintenance ? When ?
THEMA : Twingo, when do I have to do a big and when a small maintenance, at how much KM respectively years ? Hello together, I am new here and have been looking here in the forum already, but not yet read the correct answer to my question. Even though I have a Twingo BJ 99 model 2000 and am second owner. Since the previous owner unfortunately did not have a checkbook and also had no further invoice about repeats I would like to at least regularly keep my Twingo waiting n. I bought the Twingo a year ago and since then absolutely nothing has been done at all. KM stand on the date of purchase was around 70,000km KM stand today around 92,000km Since this year nothing, really nothing was done, except on liquids water and windscreen wiper stuff made by me. On 17.02.09 the left drive shaft had to be changed (exchange shaft, no NEW), this I had done at Renault, then KM stand 81,000km. Yesterday I left after consultation with Rena ult make a complete large maintenance + timing belts + water pump. For almost 700,- € an expensive matter. Now I would have known from you, how much KM or years I should do the next small maintenance, or again a big one. I unfortunately did not have a checkbook as already mentioned, but from renault let me issue a maintenance book, so that all can be registered from now on. In this is unfortunately not when I have to go back to a maintenance. Can one help me there ? When do I have to keep the Twingo waiting again small / large maintenance ?! Would be nice if you could help me there further many thanks ! MFG Japi936

Twingo New purchase with scrapping premium for the old man!?
Hello! My wife has been driving a 95 Twingo with folding roof for 7 years now which has only 95 TKM on the watch. The Twingo has EFH+mirror, as well as the adjustable back bench in it. We just put 300€ in for new springs/tüv.. However, the tires should now also soon be new… Now there is this great scrapping premium and the Twingo is now worth 250€! In a new car I didn’t want to miss out on ESP or a climate. The standard Twingo, which is advertised for 5990€, doesn’t even have the sliding back bench as standard. The 16V machine with 76hp is also more economical than the 58hp engine and as Eco2 you get the climate with radio for 600€. But according to the list are also 11000€ for a Twingo! What would you do in our place? Keep Twingo, or a new one? Which equipment? Which discounts are possible? ung would be possible if it would be worthwhile by discount…. Have already thought about buying a golf, VW offers 250€ environmental bonus in addition. Polo and Fox are however no longer to have on the fast….

Experience with the new Twingo
Hello together, My ma has ordered a Renault Twingo. Well this was delivered with a lot of delay, which is probably also normal due to the rush on small cars. However, we ordered the car on 01.02.09 and was quite stopped by the dealer. The delivery date was always postponed from the beginning of April to the middle of June in the 2 week rhythm. Since question I now is more normal or are we an individual case? (Yesterday we could pick up the car nu) Continue A wrong non-mp3-capable radio was installed, so I guess a visit to our dealer creates help or? Happens so often or are we also here an incident? Now before we drove a Ford Ka in whose operating instructions was specified which speed could be driven maximum in which gear without turning the engine over. With Renault, unfortunately, this information is missing in the instruction, someone could give me indicative values, since our Twingo did not have a rotation According to the instructions, a maximum number of 3000 revolutions/minute must not be exceeded. Can someone please tell me straightening speeds for this case as well. Well enough of the questions. With the car is otherwise quite satisfied clearly a certain change of habitation is necessary, but from the driving performance I would have expected a little more. We drive a 1.2 16v eco2 engine with 76Ps this is however subjectively not stronger than the Ka I’d be happy if you would tell me about your experiences with the car and also answer my questions. MFG Felix

How to buy a car as a woman????
Hello your car experts, I have to buy a car at short notice – and that alone! Neither my father nor my brothers can support me there, so that I have to bring the thing over with either a friend or my mother. Therefore, I now need a crash course in terms of car purchase. Conditions: I have looked out the Renault Twingo. Primarily because I like it and many in the area are offered to buy. It must be an automatic and at the most 4 What do I have to pay attention to now? – how crazy are the tires – speedometer stand – should be best under 100,000 – year of construction – should be built as far as possible after 2000 – Macken – Rost I have already considered whether I should simply drive to a workshop during the test drive and check the car there. May I at all? Probably not be so cheap. I am really desperate and very grateful for tips. Maybe there is a list that you can buy a car. It should be taken into account.

New Twingo *** brochures / discounts
Hello, again and again I read that (e.g. in Bavaria) there are already brochures about the new Twingo; when are these in the Ruhrpott at the dealer around the corner available? ———————— The new Twingo models can already be ordered on the net with a discount of CA. 17-18 %; will this discount also be offered on site? Or do you have to listen to any sayings “… is a new model, there are not so high discounts…” What is the business deal with Renault if a new one it model to be brought to the man ? Thanks and greeting ***no porsche***

Cylinder head gasket? 1200€? Twingo
Greetings, in advance I don’t know a car “knower” so I turn to you here… because I think that the price of the workshop is clearly too high, I hope some car friends can help me here. Of course I have already used the search function but without great success…. and we have the following problem, our Twingo Bj 2002 75PS 1.2 16V 117Tkm (but I’m not sure if the details in my profile about the car are correct, that was then to me Unfortunately he had to visit the workshop because he had “more or less” problems with the start in the last time. At first he did not jump at all, after several times pressing the ignition he jumped again however very hard and in the beautiful old tractor style (my first guess was the battery because this is still the first). When he was in the workshop, the employees could not fix any errors… neither battery nor anything else… Nice and good … nac h a week the same game started again from the front… First reason… No reaction, 2-4 Slowly coming engine noise, 4-6 engine jumps on under difficult circumstances and only with easier operation of the accelerator pedal.. Now it is all at once the cylinder head gasket that is defective… which should cost only “loose” 1200€? Can someone explain to me what is so expensive about a ZKD? Quote: Where is the coolant gone? Everything dense, or consumes the coolant….hope for you that there is no need for n Cylinder head damage follows! Would I keep an eye on the coolant level….best to completely renew….I would like to know if one could be related to the other… Thank you for any advice/tip/info!
