  • loud noises, not speed dependent, and not speed dependent

Hello, I’m a bit desperate. I’m on vacation, car (Twingo, Phase2) is standing at the airport. I just got there. On the way the car started to hear extremely loud noises in the interior (outside there was almost nothing to hear). Noises come only while driving, but are neither speed-dependent, nor speed-dependent, and stop only when you stand still. Actually everything is done on the car…wheel bearings don’t have 10,000km yet, no wheel gets warm. It is so loud that a conversation in the vehicle is hardly possible. Sounds like an unlubricated axle. Should I still drive home with the car? Does anyone have an idea what that could be? Come home on Sunday night, so there’s nothing to do with the workshop.

  • windscreen wiper engine costs 350€ ???

hi people have a problem! since the november of my teeth is over, I save for a new car. since then I have been using the twingo of my mum. so far so good, except for the somewhat vague steering the car is also fully ok! now in winter, I probably killed the windscreen wiper motor! am sure that I have always scratched everything off, but fact remains that the wiper never wipes and it is not the lean 15A fuse… today we have him at the renault partner in st. leon-rot ab when I come home from work today, I get said that the repair costs 350€(!!!). hello? for a windscreen wiper (motor)??? tja, you have already promised to repair, but I would still like to know if this is a “normal” price for such a inferior part…. sorry, but I am really angry! 350€ for a windscreen wiper, say another bmw or something else would be expensive! what I would need from you would be the info if d it is really justified, because I think it’s totally abzocke, but I don’t have any experiential values at renault. if it corresponds to my guess, it would be very nice if you gave me this in such a written form that I can print it out and at least keep my ellis under the nose. for me this is really not a cardboard style. if it would work until tomorrow afternoon it would be great, because then I would have something in my hand before I drive to the renaultwerkstatt. d anke schon mal ein frustrierter twingoleier PS: so a renault I don’t buy defintively!

  • First Twingo customer service…choked!!!

Hello I had today with my Twingo the first customer service. The invoice would have been first at nearly 290€. However, this was changed again, because I did not pay 2,20€ for disk clear that before the trip to the contract workshop was filled up by me. And also no 10€ for a small can for maintenance of the sealants on the doors. After that I paid 277€…with me also this amount and a few details seem very strange. Maintenance diagnosis and mobility guarantee 6,90€ MALO 16,00 the sum is then 110,40€ without VAT. What does MALO mean? maybe team work wage??? only 16h does not work because they have not worked so long on it. Sealing ring and oil filter seems OK to me from the price with 0,95 and 10,90. But the used oil ELF EVOLUTION SXR 5W40 long at 16,39per liter without VAT on the internet costs everywhere only half with VAT. I am equally surprised that this top oil which is normally used for Common Rail Diesel wi rd comes into a 43kW petrol tank. Cooling liquid did not miss any and I also seem to be 3,28 again without VAT for half a litre too expensive. The last article is the exchanged pure air filter, does a Twingo without climate at all? This cost again 24,00€ plus 1 MALO of 6,90€ These partly also small amounts make with VAT an amount of 277€ Would I be very interested in what you say about it….

  • Renault Twingo 94, and ask a few questions.

We have seen a Twingo that we would like to buy, it is a year of construction 94 and has run 170 thousand. The car is well cared for in itself, but it also has a few defects. And indeed the engine sweats under the head, completely long ago, but the head seal is ok,is that something bad,or eventuel a broken seal,e.g. on the side ? Dan has it unfortunately only Euro 1, there is a possibility to get it on Euro 2,hope that is possible with the Twingo 1239 ccm with 40 KW Had a VW Polo before that true any such an import vehicle from Spain for it there was no cat or Twin Tec, because he had a naughty key number. So that was for the first time, looking forward to answers.

  • Purchase advice on the Renault Twingo

Hello to all =) I just registered here, so don’t wonder why a new topic is being written about the Renault Twingo! So my question is, is it worth getting a Renault Twingo up to 3000€? I already had the insurance calculated, so from the insurance it is favorable in the damage-free class 5. But the one thing is how the repair costs are averaged. I am a trainee and earn 600€(1st year of training) net. Whether the money is enough? Ic h would be very grateful about tips! Greetings Johannes

  • Winter bikes for the new wind

Moin, we ordered the new wind and actually planned to equip it with the Goodyear all-year tyres. Now there is not this in size 205/40 17 for the original rim 7 x 17. Renault offers a complete winter tire package for 130€ on 7 X 17, which is quite happy. Did someone find other rims that have already entered the wind in the ABE? The problem is probably the unusual press-in depth 55 of the rims. According to Renault also the tyre size 195/45 16 or can tell me if the original rims are self-made by Renault or by which supplier they are manufactured. Car still in the pipeline and already questions about questions… Thanks and greeting from Hamburg Rolf

  • Twingo purchased, fuses missing (airbag, ABS, etc.) and other errors

Hi, my girlfriend bought a Renault Twingo Built 08/1997 Liberty model. He has new TÜV/AU and makes a neat and clean impression. Now she noticed, however, that the rear wiper does not work. To my knowledge, it can be the fuse, or also the relay, which sits under the steering wheel with the turn signal relay. Hope not that it is the wiper motor or wire harness. Now I wanted to look after the fuse and I noticed that both the fuse for the airbag as well as for ABS is missing. I don’t know now if he has ABS. But Airbags he definitely has. The fear is obvious that the fuses were taken out from the TÜV because there were any mistakes. Hopefully they are only missing out of slutty. If I buy new ones tomorrow and put them in, can something happen to the airbag? That he suddenly triggers, or something like that? Or can not happen there. I don’t know why these fuses are missing. nkt the turn signal and also gives a clacking sound of itself, but inside this is not optically displayed. Should the turn signal relay be, right? I am grateful for tips. Alex

  • twingo repair costs timing belts , water pump, air conditioning belts

hello, I use this forum today for the first time and would be happy about stimulating contributions. we have bought a twingo, bj. 1999, with 109000 km of running power. now we have learned that the timing belt has to be changed. an offer of the renaultwerkstatt has clouded the joy of buying. the change of timing belts, water pump, running belts for the air conditioning system would cost 620,- €. can tell me if the offer is good, normal or overpriced. best thanks in advance for your contributions.

  • Start problems

I have problems starting my car: My car didn’t start yesterday at the first attempt, the second attempt went again. Today the car didn’t start again, it only started again at the fifth attempt with breaks. When turning the key the warning lights went off and then again; also the immobilizer goes out, so that it can’t be the cause, tried two keys, no central locking. With further turning to start the starter, the starter did not give any sound. I drove the car into a workshop, but now it can be started again without any problems, so that it was said that you can only detect the error when it occurs. I left the Twingo first. The workshop wants to make a start attempt from & .. If the car can start by tomorrow evening, I pick it up again. Could it have something to do with that the engine was warm when it could not be started anymore, longer time driven and then motor short . Is the engine cold, it works again. What would that mean, cause? Battery has been measured, oil is ok.My questions: 1. Does anyone have ideas about what could be the cause? 2. If the starter was broken, then the car could not be started at all? Can it be a wobble contact, wobble contact of cables? 3. Can the workshop not measure the electronics? THX Dawson

  • Timing belt tear Twingo, please for help I’m desperate 🙁

Hello dear people, I am very helpless and therefore I ask you for tips, would be very grateful if you would help me. Drive for about 2 months a Twingo 1.2 with 58 HP year of construction :2003 On the highway suddenly my beloved Twingo went out…I just managed to take the next exit before he stopped. The tank was on reserve and I just thought it was because of it. After I got gas about 10 L I tried to get the Moto r turn on……no…I tried and tried and tried…I didn’t need anything :-)( I pushed the car into a parking lot on my own…puhhhhh I was done…Today I went to a free workshop to get help. So the uncle drove me to my car and looked at it.. He looked at the engine and the tank that was under the back seats… He attached a pole to my Twingo and with the other end his car…he wanted to turn on… …and I should try to get the car on the way…. That went halfway but the engine clapped extremely…like a tracker…. His diagnosis : Timing belts is torn !!! I should dispose of the car or just leave it in front of his workshop so that he can at least slaughter the car…A reperture would not be worth it….I really got tears :-((I am very dependent on my car and as I said before, I am very dependent on my car.) napp 2 months for approx.2000 € bought… The seller told me at the beginning that the Twingo had never been made the timing belt, but I would have time up to 120Tkm. I also trusted that….. Now my question to you…. must it be that it is the timing belt???? Can it be something else? Or does the uncle just want to fuck me out of the workshop? Does it pay to get the car back fit? please people I would be very grateful for an answer…. am so Ratlos… Dan no you in front of Liza
