  • new “old” 9-3er 2.2 TID in the stable

    Now I have it for a week and a two questions.. 1. The car has a very clear starting weakness between 2800 and 3200 rpm. Is that normal? 2. If I want to switch the radio… how can I expand it? And I heard that you can’t just separate the CD changer. Does this apply even if it is connected to the same device again? Thank you for your help in advance.

  • Snoring in the engine compartment…

    Hello, for some time now I have noticed a snoring noise in the engine compartment. Detailed description and circumstances: – starting from quite exactly 2,000/min and going up to approx. 3,500/min – it snores while accelerating and in sliding mode – sounds most likely like the vibration of a metal part – is no longer heard with a warm engine – sound source seems to be right (in driving direction) I have already wobbled at various parts in the engine compartment, at least spon The Schnarr base: 99-er 9-3 LPT / 154PS / ca. 125.000km Before I hit the way into the forge, which is certainly advisable: Do any of you know this noise?   • Is Saab really junk?

    After I bought my first Saab now, I looked at a friend’s advice (is Saab driver himself) here in the forum. After reading some posts, I read my enthusiasm for my car clearly. I find hardly any posts here, in which people are really satisfied with their Saab. I got a 900 (MOdell year 98) and after what I read here I only wonder that there are still people driving one. To the alternative stood a BMW and the drivers are somehow much more proud of their car and don’t use every opportunity to complain about stiffness, electronics or driving performance. I’m just wondering why this is so. Is the 900er really so bad or do some simply hopelessly exaggerated demands? I previously drove a Renault Laguna with 90hp and have so far been more than positively impressed by the performance as well as the workmanship.

    Hello together, I drive a Saab 9 3 TiD and want to set it up a little I am looking for a sports exhaust (do not have to be loud) but only look “good” because I can never see this little black tube one time.. furthermore I am looking for a serious tuning company that offers chips or complete control units for my car (possibly also for self-installation).. can you help me there? many thanks already in advance

  • Fuel consumption 900 II 2.0 with automatic

    Hello Saabfahrer, I just have a Saab 900 Bj.96 with the 130 HP engine variant with automatic and air conditioning for testing.The car has run org.90 tkm and does not drive badly, a little sluggish but ok. Only the consumption with careful driving mode and off switch climate settles thus at 12,9 l / 100 km and that seems to me a little too much. How are your experience values or what this can be.   • Differences Cabi 900 II and 9-3

    Hello everyone! Can one of the (hopefully) present experts tell me what differences the 9-3 Cabi distinguish compared to the 900 II? I bought a beautiful bright yellow convertible with permission from 4/97. Supposedly it should be a 900er, but I find no information about this model or execution. All signs rather indicate that it is a 9-3er. The previous owner was a hobbyist and had the Fhzg spit on the deer. There are also j eglich type designations have been removed from the carosterie. How do I notice now, what kind of car am I driving?? Was there the 900 II in yellow at all? Thanks for hints!

  • Brakes and rust – brake force distribution

    ….when changing to the winter tyres, my screwdriver noticed that the rear brake discs are very rusty at the edge. His recommendation: to brake strongly on the highway sometimes. Since I am a forward-looking driver, I use the brake really little, usually enough the distance to the frontman to avoid braking.
