Hello! Today something strange happened and I want to ask if someone knows what was going on. I parked back with the light switched on this evening and had the door open to see something in the snow. Still when the door was open I switched off the ignition, left the car and locked it. Then I noticed that the dipped light was still burning. I unlocked, switched off the light with the rotary button but it was still burning, switched on the ignition and it went off. What could have happened there? LG, Eric

Which Saab 900 II convertible can I buy, who can help?
Hello dear Saab community, I’ve been driving Saab for several years without any complications or any breakdowns. I’m so excited about the brand and wanted to buy a useful Saab Cabrio for small money now additionally a Saab Cabrio as second scales. It’s supposed to be a Saab 900 S Cabriolet with checkbook, EZ 06/1995, 159,800 km with 96 kW (131 hp) for a purchase price of 2.799 €. Also, a Saab 900 SE 2.3, EZ 06/1997 235,000 km, 110 kW (150 hp) is available for selection. This vehicle has a complete service history, is from 2nd hand, with new winter tyres, 6 compartment CD changer, replacement engine at 150,000 km, new gearbox at 210,000 km, is checkbook prepared, all repairs in official Saab workshop done. For a Saab 930 2.0 turbo, EZ has read very much of the faults that I’ve been able to find out more about myself.

Saab 900 V6???
Hey saabfreunde, I drove an old saab 900 I until half a year ago. the automatic transmission unfortunately said goodbye early at only 130000 km. since then I drive a, although reliable, underpowered Mazda. recently I saw a Saab 900 II V6 (automatic) year 1997, 89000km for 7500 EUR. I have already tested the car and it made a good impression on me. Actually I like it quite well. Now my question: What do you think about it? from this car? Is the price reasonable and the V6 a good engine?? Or should I rather stay with my Japanese “missile”? thank you

Rugging in the stationary gas
Hello to all SaabiIsten, I have a problem with my Saab 9-3 YS3D Bj. 98 with the 2,3l petrol. In the stand gas or when rolling out with the automatic he starts to jerk, if it is cold, it is much worse but even if it is warm, it only takes off something and does not go away. The car is converted to car gas and therefore I was at the gas frying of my trust and he chased over the diagnosis once. which found that the engine drives in normal operation to 76degree and detours The problem with the jerking is unfortunately also in petrol operation. I was then at the Saabdealer (but also the first and last time) and the Ham read out the fault memory and nothing was in it. Nu ham the me docjh on suspicion the spark plugs exchanged also immediately another n bit of oil and wanted to have promt 147€ from me. Dreprest way they had also filled during the test drive also for 20€, although I told you that the car gas The SID and the tank indicator are going well anyway, because he can’t do it, that the car rolls and nothing is consumed by the fuel. I’m at a loss, because except for the fact that it starts cold better (only two instead of three to four revolutions) nothing has improved. Does anyone have an idea?

!!!Noise while accelerating!!!
Hi! I’ve been driving a 9-3 aero for a year and I’m very happy with the car. Unfortunately, strange noises have been noticeable lately. If I push through the car fully, so the accelerator pedal goes through and the turbo goes at full speed, one hears a qietching or a hissing, as if something were slipping through. This noise only arises when the turbo’s charging pressure indicator is full, so at high acceleration and correspondingly high torque. In the workshop I was told that the engine and the Turbo 1a were running. Does anyone have any idea what might be the cause here? Perhaps a problem with the coupling?? Thank you already in advance.

Deer Step1
Dear Saab community, I am playing with the idea of my 93-I convertible, 151 kW, year 05/2000, 99,000 km, to miss an additional boost by using Hirsch Step1. I would like to combine this with a trip to Switzerland and have it installed on site in St. Gallen. My questions to you would be: 1. Is the power increase from 151 kW to step1 even noticeable or worth it? 2. Who has experiences with late tuners (km=99,000) 3. How does the TÜV registration work? e Certificate and everything is zero problemo? 4. What does this registration cost? 5. Will the insurance premiums increase? Thanks in advance and greetings from Wiesbaden! Marc

Rear shock absorber
At 55,000 km, the first guard was replaced (back). Recently, I have problems with the rewinding of the rear (no swimming up) and breakthroughs (4 man operation or A5 at Darmstädter Kreuz @ 180-200 km/h with 2 people). If I am honest, this is not quite my thing. Since I have already installed the harder H&R springs, it is obvious that the attenuation values of the original Sachs Touring dampers (correspond to Saab’s factory delivery) are not quite the same as the original Sachs Touring dampers. and the technology or do not work at the basic spring depth – but they don’t really have the original springs to me either! The dampers (New German vibration dampers) would be due again from the km of performance. They still have to take part in the move. Next year, proper dampers will come in. These will probably not be Sachs extremes either – Sachs died for me. I only buy products from companies I am completely convinced of. Then Bilstein B6 or besss Maybe to my driving profile: – No race track – to 90-95% highway – the rest is urban traffic and overland traffic in Switzerland (Emmental side routes)

93 better boxes
Who can help: I have the TID 2.2 125hp with audio system 2 Radio+CD+6 changer. There I have in the dashboard boxes, 2 boxes in the door, which probably work from 200Hz and less with separate 2x40Watt amplifier and rear 6×9′ boxes. I would like to exchange the boxes for better, but do not know which are better due to the installation depth and also in the sound. The goal is with me max. 200 € with little manual additional effort. Oundsystem tried with success? MfG, Oliver

Vmax Miracles after 150 TKM inspection …..
One question: What does the kick-down at full speed and 210 kmh with a 154 hp 9-3er SAAB Autom. from 2000 ? Nothing, I thought. I think I have never tried it before …. but I drove the last BAB (first big ride directly after the 150 TKM inspection) and notice at once, but the car is running somehow more than usual today …. look at the speedometer and see 5,500 (so far only up to 5000 has managed !!!) … and the tacho needle directly on the 230 km h (has always managed only 210 …) … not even abschüssig, just BAB …… Does the car actually drive faster than 210 kmh ??? What could the master in the workshop otherwise have “disfigured” everything ? Nothing was changed, no candles, no oil filter, no oil (was all new) … only the air conditioning disinfected, but it can’t be because of it ….. that I have exceptionally filled of this new ARAL 100 petrol also can not be such a have an effect … or ? for the sake of information here a copy of the 150 TKM inspection together with ASU/TUEV, what happens ….. cost: over 1,100.– EUR … !!! 150 TKM SAAB invoice: http://home.arcor.de/icarni/saab_150tkm_inspectionkosten.pdf … and moreover this workshop in the saab center frankfurt is highly recommended (not on the other hand WI e.g.) …..
