  • looking for a bumper rubber

Hello, have been reading the forum regularly for a long time. Now I also have a problem, in which maybe someone can help me. With my wife’s car, a Saab 900 2.3l ’96 year of construction, a rubber is missing on the driver’s side between bumper and front headlight. According to SAAB I should buy a new headlight, because this rubber is not available individually and is only pure for the look and has no further benefit. But that’s why I don’t have to take a complete headlight. or !?!??! Does someone have another rubber left? or an idea where you get such a rubber? Of course I pay for it, but a whole headlight??????????????? Thank you in advance Thomas PS. Please no jokes about rubbers, condoms and where I get them….lol

  • Precaution of rust

Hello. Today I started to rework my loudspeaker installation in the doors and to defrost/throw the doors. One thing I noticed negatively: the rust prevention in the doors. The cavity sealing is already well torn down in the fold of the door sheets below (every 1 – 1.5 cm). Will be able to get cavities wax well or badly tomorrow. With my “repair/optimization” of the chassis, I already noticed slight folding corosion on the underfloor sheets. This is not dramatic and is treated by me and therefore will not have any aftereffects. With a three-year-old car this can happen – hello!! Don’t misunderstand, I love my 93, I grew up with Saab, but slowly I start to ponder. At this point a warm thanks to GM and OPEL. In Sweden you can still see some 9000 – in the best condition. Also here in Switzerland. Unfortunately I have no.. Gruss Oliver P.S.: Pictures follow at the W ochenende in the FAQ.

  • Oh, no, no, engine in the popo?

Well, night drive, I finally want to hit the A1, it pats, jerks and the deer doesn’t want to go faster than 150km/h…. I snuck home… the turbo whistles as loud as never… I don’t dare to open the hood tomorrow… what could that be again? I really lose the desire for the car…

  • Viggen Troll R HS6

I want more man has not enough have a Viggen convertible 280Ps drive out next week to Johann and let me first refine the chassis even though the vehicle has been built up at the deer and heuschmid I am not satisfied with the eibach Fw and I have already so much appreciated the performance that now a head processing is necessary + optimization and a 3 inch tube because I thought that from the deer the system with race kat understands itself already from curvature a 3 inch system is dab a short time before the end silencer is a small piece that needs to be removed surgically a 2.5 inches tube!! I guess that the viggi will bring by me then scarce 310ps unless I also let the loader change but that’s still too early because the vehicle still has 55,000 km!? who can give me accurate information?!

  • Wet braking and power disc

Good day together, in pouring rain on the BAB, I wanted to take “my” exit. When I wanted to brake on it, NOTHING happened… at least nothing really speed reducing. A second – a little more violent – (fear) ride on the brake then triggered the ABS… I suddenly feel very warm… only good that there was no stowage, or one behind me – that would have been it. Background info: Saab 93 SE 3T, MY99, 130 HP, 15,000 km (!) and I haven’t had it for so long. Fr age: this can’t be normal…(?) with an almost new car, if yes: remedy? I read something about PowerDiscs in the forum, but only in connection with performance increases. I don’t plan to do that, and I didn’t want to do it on the ring either. But do these Powerdiscs eliminate the moisture phenomenon? Do I need other brake pads or even other saddles? Do they have serial dimensions, i.e. can I continue to drive my 15″ winter tires? Thank you in advance and many greetings Thomas

  • Repair remote control Saab 900 II

Even if the topic has been discussed more often, I will do it again. Since I had a remote control without function with my newly acquired used 900er SE Bj. 98 and one with sporadic dropouts I had to take care of it now. It is also important to have 2 working FB, because both the disengagement jumpers, as well as the alarm system are activated over it, and/or disabled. I also did that. However, most of the recommendations in various forums were like most of all it ended with a lot of money at the Saab dealer – and I didn’t! The fact is: I could fix both remote controls easily and at no cost myself. That wasn’t witchcraft! Now everything should work again! I also recommend having 2 spare batteries in the glove compartment in case of cases.

  • Almost new tires broken – warranty case?

Hello, drive a Saab 93 SE BJ 2000 with 17 inches (are I the here http://data.motor-talk.de/data/galleries/711517/29928/bild-21450.jpg). have bought me last summer new uniroyal at ATU. now just the mature front right is just as flattened. since I was in the middle of a main road I had to roll on a side strip and pressed in the rim. is it possible to notice this at ATU as a guarantee case? how can I prove to them that the mature “infac h so” has given up his spirit? edit: the mature has no 2000km rather much less behind it. are summer ripe and in winter I had steel rims-winter tires on it. thank you, i. p.s.: besides the question: can the rim be repaired by e.g. the delle is pulled out (looks like pressed in)

  • What do you think of this 900?

Hello! I am looking for a reliable car that can withstand both urban stress and long distance and since I have always heard only good from Saab I am interested in a Saab. I just stepped on it and I would like to know what you think of it. Please remember that used cars in Austria are always a bit more expensive than in Germany: SAAB 900 – KLICK Danke & LG,

  • 9-3 I Cabrio 2.0 turbo – Purchase advice, defects

Moin Forum, after we bought the 9-5er some time ago and are very satisfied with it, the Fiat is supposed to give way to a 9-3er convertible. We discovered one nearby and inspected it on the WE. The dealer was no help and rather rude, incompetent and as one expected of Audi and VW Händelrn he had no idea of the vehicle… The dealer sells the Saab as a “workshop-tested hobbyist vehicle” That alone is already a naught. The usual suspects De of course, I did some research here before, check booklet is reasonably full and the cover is clean. The car is standing well there, is quite well maintained, runs just under 160tkm. MY2002. But I discovered a few things that have to be done or should be done at some point. On the one hand, this is the light airbag lamp and on the second the front axle body/spring legs. SID is naturally in the bucket, but this is pipifax, I can send in and install it myself. 2: Must this be done and what does it cost? Thank you very much for your help in advance.

  • E10

Hello. Wanted to refuel after a long absence today and see there: there is no super anymore. According to the table, which can be retrieved under dat.de/e10, all Saab models E10 are suitable. But: is this certainly valid for nen Saab 900 II, 2.0 Benziner, year 1994? After the search function was activated here quote: And especially with these old vehicles I have my concerns that the E10 sprite does not attack the carburettor parts, or the membranes of the mechanical gasoline pumps express doubts. Rt. What do you think/do?
