  • My 9-3 Convertible – Just one more Euro-Grab? Assessment … what to do?

Hello together, own (probably still) a 9-3 SE convertible, EZ 2000 with about 195000km, for 6 years mine, then paid about 9000 euros, deer tuned with 222hp. Current condition, recognizable for a layman: – roof defective, I had to manually emergency locks today – deer alus due to curb taking total damage, driving for 1.5 years steel-winter tires – summer ices also have to new – passenger side paint damage, because lantern took – otherwise some paint things, because road vehicle – Various damage inside (not necessarily top maintained) Perhaps still: – Cooling system, because I had to refill cooling water at least 5 times this winter – Since about 3 years no service made – Seam driver side leather is torn on or. Sewing line – Clear rubbing points on the fabric roof – Had to renew a year ago or so servo hose, since it is buzzing when I steer almost to the stop – Cooling and heating system: Apparently something is clogged, because I only after the fans a certain time in the car … – nice: I got someone on it, for that I got 950 euros Today the roof, so suddenly. For me the last hint to separate me from the car. Or what do you think? What investments could be coming to me? I guess: roof, service and tires at least 2000 euros … I wouldn’t have to do the optical things. Would you like to stay with Saab, would my cart be taken into payment? What would it be worth? D anke for the help, i.

  • 9-3 Floating YS3D

Hi guys! I need your advice! Up to now I still thought I had to buy a “new” car, because my Saab 9-3 YS3D 2.0T needs 150 hp of new turbocharger and cylinder head gasket. (147,000km down) In the meantime, I think that you can do that. I thought I would get myself a suitable turbocharger, maybe an outdated one and let it be installed with my friend. Question is: Which turbocharger do I need and where can I get useful (Ra next thing: cylinder head gasket. Can you generally repair/exchange these or is that a SAAB-specific thing that only goes in a contract workshop? And if I decide to keep the pretty bullet alive now…. where is there still room for improvement in the car, especially in the direction of performance, consumption, care? I thought for example of spark plugs and a new air filter ?! Apart from the question if I still do that at the KM stand at all can Hirschen be too expensive for me at the moment. And if I want to know exactly I would also have to repair the following things: – door lock driver side (clamps, sometimes does not lock, connected with a key change?) – air conditioning control unit (from 400€ or?) – bonnet (rust), frontal protection disc (stone impact), bulging driver side … I know, that doesn’t sound very great, most of it I have already taken over Which workshop in the Berlin area is to be recommended? There was one in the wedding, right? nke for your advice in advance

  • Headlamp wiper drive

Hello Forum My right lamp wiper motor does not run “home” and lets the fuse address, is probably stuck. After disconnecting the plug and renewing the fuse runs at least the left again. Usual question: Is there a source for used parts or inexpensive alternatives besides a new part for 130 to 150€ ? Or does someone else have something like that ? • Newbie! Request a purchase help with a 9-3 convertible

Hello municipality, I play with the idea to get a Saab convertible as a second car. The 9-3er to year 2003 is for me the most beautiful vehicle from this series. I find nasty the current one. I want to invest max. 10′ Euro, for a year from 2000, with mileage max. 100` On offer are mostly the 150 HP 2.0t. I don’t know the brand – it would be my first Saab. Now a few questions: – Are there any year-dependent details, changes, improvements of the last series from which I know So it’s better to buy a 12/2002 than a 7/2002 because it had xyz of changes since 08/2002? – Are there typical flaws of this model you should pay attention to when buying? – For some cars (mobile.de) I once saw a co-painted and once a black front fenste frame in silver vehicles. What is it with this? – How vulnerable is the cover? – With the 150PSler, can you take it with automatic or is it too lame? I am happy to be on your help and your counsel. Greet Andrew

  • Charging air cooler hose 2.2tid

Hello. Picked up my intercoller hose today from the dealer. After the price of the hose I am now the main shareholder of Saab… Only as information for all with scrubbed hoses. The current hose comes with a plastic protection net above the hose. Should the hose counteract before rapid scouring and too strong expansion of the turbocharger hose (possibly better response behavior?). Will change the hose on the weekend.

  • Viggen: power drop

Hello together My Viggen has been having power drop problems for several weeks after long colon driving (e.g. staggering at the speed 80 on the highway). This means that after a long period of time you never needed proper performance (about 30 minutes), the performance is no longer 100 percent after that. You have to stop then, ignition off and turn on again. After that everything is again io. Has someone already heard of such problems or even experienced it yourself? Many greetings Katja

  • Open 9-3er fun mobile?

Hello together, I resent a 9-3 convertible. According to the study of mobile.de and autoscout24 I landed at an “anniversary” because I find the combination with the light leather looking good. Is there an MJ before which I should not buy the car, if it is not “anni”? Do I have to take into account something that comes up to you immediately? Of course I would like the Aero, but where is its average consumption? Are there special weak points at the convertible? Is it seriously wintertime Is it loud? Is the AS3 identical to the AS3 in my 9-5 MJ2002? Are there still ways to make something about the – in my opinion – something unloving – center console? Maybe apertures of deer? And lastly – from what mileage should one deny oneself to the deer? Yes, I know, these are various questions, but I am happy about every answer. Many greetings from the dark west Dietmar

  • 9-3 I LPT Charging air cooler?

Hello, after I moved my 99-er 9-3er these days for the first time at minus temperatures, it struck me very pleasantly by a much more willing temperament. Logical: cold air = more oxygen (or so…). Therefore I ask myself the (beginner) question whether the LPT has a charge air cooler. I think the full turbos should have one. If no, would this be retrofittable with relatively little effort? Little effort means for me that the costs are noticeable and he Hirsch Step 1. Thank you for your tips! Greetings and a nice evening, maywald

  • Better brakes for the 93 I?

A hello to all Saab lovers! Even if it sounds like a lack at first – but you always want to make it a little bit better. I have a “fresh cell cure” for the brakes in the spring. I would also be willing to make some more money loose for better brakes (up to 1000). But if you look at the relevant Saab tuners on their side, I already see myself spending my summer in the trunk of my Saab: 2400 euros for a after all 4 piston brake system….bibber. Dabe i just want to be a little more “saddle-resistant” on the highway and maybe win one meter or another. But I don’t want to win a competition in negative acceleration – I leave that to other cars. So who of you can gain positive experiences on this topic – then tell us about it.

  • 900 SE Turbo

Hello, I’m new here in the forum. My car CV: Beetle, Alfasud, Golf I, Scirocco, BMW 316, BMW 325e, BMW 535i, then service car SAAB 9-3 130 hp, SAAB 9-5 Kombi 150 hp, second car; SAAB 9000 Turbo S with 195 hp. No more service car: BMW 324 TD, BMW 320i The 9000 was a fun machine, but my account and my nerves were very strained. But just because it was so much fun, I forgave him a lot…. When it was no longer possible, I had to sell it hard in my heart, Now I want to give away. Now I against such a fun machine, because the account looks a little better again. However, the 9000 Turbo is only difficult to get or very expensive for the age or, the risk. There I noticed a SAAB 900 SE Turbo with 185 hp. Can someone please tell me if it is like the 9000 Turbo is much fun? How does the realistic Verbracuh, if you drive in itself rather land road 110 km/h and only leave the power out when overtaking ? Is there especially What about the durability of the gearbox, ignition cassette, turbo, engine control? It would be nice if you could give me some tips. Thanks for this! Kai
