hi, again 2.0i saab 900II (my1997) switchcar xD found a loose cable next to the safety box when looking in the engine room and doesn’t know where it belongs…maybe one of you? it has a green border and is relatively short, so I couldn’t pull it any further than it can be seen. and I lose minimally driven oil through the leaky shaft seal ring on the gear box and would like to know how to change the a) and b) how to get the gear oil out. my manual only gives me the statement that you should measure/check the one at the inspection, but not where. and how/where do I fill it up? mfg

Saab 9-3 cabrio Aero buy ?? And antenna problem?
Hello Your Saab driver Are you going to buy a Saab 9-3 convertible, 2002er driven by the doctor, 56tkm checkbook, Aero with 205 hp (or 209???), unfortunately manual transmission… grey metallic, condition ok., leather black with electric seats. I actually think that I don’t want to pay more than 10t€ for it, what do you mean ?? realistic or not ? stands at the VW dealer for 11900 euros. Are there special weaknesses to be considered? Why does the car have 2 antennas ? right and a big electric left ? ? And how can you disconnect the big ugly antenna or switch it off ? Listen to CD radio anyway. Does the car have timing belts or control chain ??If first: change interval ?? Thank you! MFG Markus

93er suddenly loses oil – where does it come from?
hello together, this morning at parking I had to find that my saab 93 cabrio of 2000 suddenly loses oil. suddenly because the oil stains were actually only visible during the parking process. I drove the car quickly home (about 5 km). he still loses oil. but there is no warning in the display. if I see it correctly, it drips in the front third of the car, about height between the front tire, next to the exhaust pipe, what about this s where could it come from? what do I have to pay attention to during “sampling trips”? what problems could happen – if at all – if I continue driving? infos: the car received tüv in april 2010 without any significant defects. since then it hasn’t been driven much. but it already has 180000km on it. the last 30 liters he has received instead of super plus only great at the filling station. thank you very much, i.

Saab 93 Bj.98 Cover problem
Hello Saabfreunde, my cover can only be opened at temperatures above 25°C. I searched in vain for the control of the oil level and the oil type used for the hydraulics. Who can give me a tip? I have inspected the pump and the oil container behind the backrest before. Since the problem only occurs with prolonged non-activation of the cover and I could not detect any oil loss on the known cylinders, I go one way. I assume that after 12 years some oil has been lost. Thank you for an answer!

Intermediate balance 200.TKM 9.3 2.2 TID Anni
Hello, on the weekend it was time: My newly purchased 9.3, 2.2 TID Anni made the 200TKM brand. Time for a short interim balance: Maintenance/repairs: Operating costs: Utility value: Comfort/driving behaviour: Often reported and yet NOT occurred defects: My conclusion: A rather undemanding car with low maintenance costs, high useful value and long-term qualities. The box stopped at the time when sold out as a fully equipped Anni (new car without registration with three years protection) 2 What do you get for it today? Furthermore, it is reliable and looks individual. Weaknesses exist in terms of noise comfort and driving behaviour. What’s next: First see how the box continues to drive. As long as it does not make any bigger mistakes, it is driven further. And afterwards? Maybe the Subaru Diesel Boxer? Skoda Octavia RS TDI or Scout? Mishubishi Outlander Diesel? Or yet another Saab 9.3??? Unfortunately, almost all current diesel cars in the K Let the camshaft drive the timing belt (the Subaru is probably not the only one in the list). I didn’t really want to do that to myself as an Audi “dental belt cracker”. Greetings Marcus P.S.: Finally I had a stone impact damage on a headlight. And look here: There are very small scattering discs. Where else is there?

Airbag control lamp, error code B2863
Hello together, at our 9.3 AERO from 2001 (original 30’km) lights up the airbag control lamp. Fa. Häusler in Munich-Neuaubing has read out the error code “B2863 side airbag driver, resistance interruption too high” and wants to sell me a new airbag for € 450… Is there a cheaper solution (except to drive without airbag) and someone knows a good Saabschrauber west of Munich (A 96 to about Landsberg) ? Thanks + Greetings Christian

Conversion Sensonic to normal circuit
Moin moin, I have a Saab 900 II Cabriolet 2.0 Turbo with Sensonic built in 1996. Annoyingly, I broke the switch position sensor. Since the part costs approx. 600 € plus installation I thought I might be able to get a complete pedal from another 900 II and bypass the existing semi-automatics. Since someone may know which components you need in addition to the pedalry or if this is even so easy possible. I myself am there Laie and my buddy is zwa R car mechanic, but unfortunately has no experience with Saab and the Sensonic. In addition, it should be noted that the car has a cruise control. Thanks already in advance.

9-3 Aero Cabrio – Phantom clapping…
Hello Saab community, have a 2003 Aero-Cabrio and with it a “gespenstische” problem: if I drive with the left rear wheel over – even small – floor waves, Gully cover etc. there is (feeled) from the back left a pitiful tinkering noise – but not always (!) … so let’s go to the buddy on the lifting stage – all wacked through, knocked, shaken (not stirred) – NIX! boot cleared out – nothing that could clap in it… .. Saab Werkstatt (Kaiser Fischbach) does everything – RATLOSITY and more lively rattles… Did one of you have such a thing? In the opinion of all “experts” it can’t be something important – but it is megalysed and messed up the whole Cabriovergügen…

225/45 R17 on 7×17″ Alu36
Hello, our “secondsaab” 9-3 is one of the last from the Anniversary Edition as standard with 17″ rims and the unspeakable 215/45 R17 tyres from Pirelli. The “qualities” of the tire have been discussed here in the forum several times, keyword sawtooth. Now a new set of tires is due with us, but the 215/45 is much more expensive than the more common size 225/45, which would also fit on the rims. With our 9-5 this combination is standard. My question: Has already m Is there a release of Saab that would simplify this? My forge is good for maintenance, but with such technical questions unfortunately always a bit overburdened. Thanks for the info in advance. Greeting Martin

Buy Saab 9-3?!? Ask for help
Dear community, I need a bigger car (Tschüüüüüs Volvo Amazon) because of my family’s wake. And I prefer to run than passat. I am on a Saab 9-3, EZ 12/1998, 190,000 km, 130 hp, stacked. Good condition inside and outside. For this, EUR 2500,- are called. Does that seem ok to me? Does the machine work for another 100000 km? Or rather, don’t you mind? Thank you very much for a short tip.
