Hello everyone, I was just with the fine dust blower at the Dekra. Result : badge without defects. But : The type has turned the car three times in a row several seconds at a speed of almost 5,000 rpm to determine the AU values. Only : With the diesel starts the red range already at 4,500 rpm – it has thus overturned it several times (!). That he then turned out the engine directly (turbo !) has already not surprised me. I know that a high speed for the values is necessary, but SO much? Clearly in the red area? Is that normal? Greeting Martin

9-3 2.2 TID s – How many kilometers with 1 machine?
Hello, I have here an offer available, for a SAAB 9-3 2.2 TID S. The car is from EZ 04/01, has run 176,000 kilometers, As I see it with full equipment, checkbook was not mentioned should cost: 5.212 euros. It is my first SAAB therefore I want to make myself a little smarter here. So, my question: how many kilometers does such a diesel machine hold out under “Otto normal drivers”. Where are the weaknesses of the model? What should I pay attention to when visiting/testing. Thank you so much for coming to Bald H.G.

Chip tuning to save fuel???
Hello dear Saabians, as discussed so often in this forum, it’s also about saving fuel this time… My 96 he 900 II S, 2.0 i unfortunately can’t be convinced of less than 11 L fuel consumption. This with city traffic and moderate driving mode, you already know: driving forward, switching up early and rolling in idle mode with red lights. With my almost 30 years I feel honestly like a retired in road traffic… only the hat is missing. and the toilet paper roll on the shelf…! I talked about the fuel consumption last time with a friend of mine who runs a hobby workshop. To this the consumption of my old Swedes also seemed enormously high and offered me a chip tuning, where the consumption would be minimized by 2-3 L. Of course all this is very interesting, therefore my question to you: Is generally such a thing possible? What disadvantages does such a thing bring for the Fhz. or for the engine? It would be nice, to me the mitz If you have had experience with it or have any idea of it… Thank you in advance…

There’s a point, actually.
that the old 9-3er with 131hp and automatic should be a “lame duck”? Would I possibly like to get such a one in nice equipment, but was warned of it from inside circles. I have no opinion because of lack of experience and would like to get advice here before a test drive on the weekend.

Ice scraping?
The temperatures now announce the winter. The neighbors scratch their windows in the morning. Lazy as I am, the heater is programmed or the heater is quickly started after the morning shower. Then I drink my coffee and watch the other bim scratching to Real TEAM work – Toll another makes. I seem to be one of the few whose diesel additional heater / heater is running perfectly (seen from a defective circulation pump) – Wink to the excavatorhans Who k Raises the windows and who defrosts?

Chassis again (crossbars)
Tach an alle In the meantime, my TiD 01 introduces the infamous “mesh driving behaviour”. Tires:215/45/17 Conti Sport-Contact 3 / Sachs Performance Sport Damper / H&R 29495 springs, everything is still relatively new. After careful inspection and game control, however, no serious chassis damage can be detected at best. Only the mech of the free workshop the rubbers of the cross handlebar (in Saab I think “Lenkarm” is called) are very soft. Question: How defines Saab “weic” h” and “normal”? Do I have to have a new part in my hand as a comparison object in order to determine whether or not defective? Are there measurement methods? I’m curious about your opinions. Greeting from the Sauerland

Again: Child seat – Arrrgh
The Oli has already bought a child seat today, because the Maxi-Cosi shell is soon too small for Papa’s little one. I have deliberately chosen a child seat that is good and does not pay attention to the belt mass in 93. How should it be different – it does not fit (yet). Once again I have to ask myself how lightly a car can be developed.
: In Sweden there are no children and certainly not children-rich families. : Object of desire was a Maxi-Cosi Tobi. D he child seat sits bomb-proof in the seat – in contrast to Storchenmühle/Recaro and Römer (King TS). Also the lying positions, belt system and absolutely wobble-free fastening (nick/acceleration moments) were decisive criteria. Although I have Isofix holder in 93, it has become clearly a pure universal seat. Iso-Fix Universal seats with bootom tether or top tether have no real advantage to belt fastenings. Iso-Fix is in my view a pure marketing product. B I have had the PSG16 control unit adapted again (travel to Freiburg/Breisagu in Germany) Now I can understand the data from Südschwede and Co to the 95 1.9 TiD fulll. Mine turns at 160 km/h 3000 rpm and at almost 190 km/h 4000 rpm. This is tolerable (starting from 180 it slowly becomes intrusive). It would disturb me massively if the engine turned at the speeds already higher. Oliver -
Optimum rim size?
For a week now, instead of the 17″ Double-3-Spoke with Pirelli P6000, I now have winter tyres on 15″ steel rims on it. Even if the look suffers a little, I can see (as every year) noticeable improvements in driving behaviour: the tramlining is gone, the comfort is significantly better, the car looks lighter and consumes even less. From a physical point of view, the whole thing is also well understandable, since smaller rims (at least usually) a lower Tr And especially the Double-3-Spoke with its 20+ kg (incl. tires) are not really light weights… So far nothing new, only one comes to ponder at some point and thinks about the meaningfulness of large rims, if they are (really objectively) actually only associated with disadvantages. In particular, the change to 16″ in the summer seems to me to be a possible combination. In addition, the question arises to what extent the comfort aspect and the tramlining are due to the tyres. The P6000 don’t have the best reputation for our cars. In other words, can you save the driving behaviour with the double 3 spoke through the right tires? I’m curious about your opinions on the topic!
