  • Base time / automatic marked as read function suddenly strange

Hello, So far I was used to Motor-Talk, which in the forums (which I did not subscribe to or otherwise marked as..) all posts were marked as unread, which were not older than 3 days, and so I could jump directly to the first new post that there was in the topic, if I logged in, with the exception of those that I have already read. As I often fail to pass through all the forums that interest me during a visit, this was always very pr Since yesterday, however, all the topics and posts in all the forums have suddenly been marked as read since the last visit, a rather impractical matter for me. Now I have sometimes (not always…) managed to temporarily restore the old state via the Base Time function, but at the latest at the next login, sometimes even during a continuous visit, were again all posts since the last visit, whether read or not, Is it possible to permanently restore the old condition here that the function “mark as read since last visit” permanently replaces “all that is older than xx days, automatically mark as read”. Alternatively, a switch off of the function “mark as read automatically” would certainly help. Does someone have a good idea to..? with kind regards Fietser82

  • Yes, I have criticism!

Today I wrote the following article on the topic “Diesel driving ban planned in Kiel”: “The experiences from Austria are very important, because here in the inner cities, if we are not able to learn from the mistakes, we have to have exactly the same experiences here. Do you want to waste millions, if not billions of euros hard-earned tax money and the inner cities to die out? And yes, the experiences from Austria concern exactly the topic Decommissioning, blocking, bullying – thus even worse air quality in the city center and discrimination against individual drive concepts. Why are you so afraid that it will become public before it occurs?” This post was deleted by Motor-Talk! Why can’t you say this here? My post was factual and topic-related! PS: my demand for the moderator was also deleted!

  • “Thanks to green thumbs – correction possibility

“Thanks to green thumbs – correction option When using the tablet, it happens every now and then that when I scroll and push the posts on the thank-you button, it triggers a positive rating. I no longer have a chance to correct the error. It would be nice if you could take back the “thank you” within a certain time. Greeting k2

  • Copyright infringement (text)

In some threads I see time and again that users take over complete or almost complete text via cut & paste from other online magazines or (commercial) news portals. Even with source (link) the m.E. often goes beyond the right to a “small quote” ( https://www.internetrecht-rostock.de/zitatrecht.htm ) …. and could be regarded as (here not allowed and the copyright infringement) “large quote”. Examples of this can be found e.g. in the VW exhaust collection thread:https://www.motor-talk.de/…/…um-den-abgasskandal-t5444904.html?…https://www.motor-talk.de/…/…um-den-abgasskandal-t5444904.html?…https://www.motor-talk.de/…/…um-den-abgasskandal-t5444904.html?… —> Perhaps users, moderators & forepats (if the latter both have the task to prevent possible damage from the platform in the name of the operator by UHV-clagen) should be more sensitized? ( On the other hand, the news portals / publishers wi e Mirror, FAZ or bird not to disturb if their texts are stolen – otherwise there would certainly have been complaints )

  • Video Forum

Hwodi friends of the fast ride, How about if Motor talk had a real forum only for videos? So if someone has done some burn out or other sick things, he loads the Vids on his webspace and gets the link in here. How about?

  • Uncommented post deletion

Moin! In this thread, a lot of posts have obviously been deleted. Unfortunately, there is no hint or justification by the moderation. I find it very unpleasant if posts are deleted and this is not comprehensible to the reader in any way. I would like to know why the posts have been deleted. I have a guess that I would also like to discuss with the moderation, but I don’t know who the running moderator was. It would be nice if in case of cancellation of contributions, at least a short note would be left, as is often done here at MT.

  • Member search for vehicle type

Evening! I have just tried to find a way to find members here for their vehicles, in order to ask someone with the same vehicle a question via PN. Since the whole thing runs anyway via databases, it does not necessarily have to be confusing even with 1 million users. It is certainly extensive, but our registration data are stored anyway in a DB. If at the registration of the vehicle type could be selected, then it would be over a corresponding Abf rage very easy to realize, looking for people in your area (via postcode or license plates), people with an S6, a B3 1.8 or anyone else. It’s not a big deal and I think the software from Motor-Talk would already give that to you.

  • What is foreign to the subject and what is not?

Everyone can decide for themselves how to deal with irrelevant contributions. I had published a few points in the Mercedes 212 forum concerning the vehicle that is at stake here. However, one of the four points concerned a different model of the brand. Of course, one could have opened another topic in a subforum, but who would think about it? Others also mention by the way their wife or the car of the neighbor, without a moderator coming in immediately. he closed just because a user kindly answered my question?https://www.motor-talk.de/…/…-frust-zur-aufheiternung-t6411522.html Maybe other participants would have had something to contribute to the topic? Quite honestly, if you would always handle it so hard, you could delete 90% of all posts in motor-talk. I don’t think that’s right. First of all I linked the respective post, from which the source and the author is visible and only then out of it Well, you have to write that again in the post. Greetings Aborigines

Hello MT’ler, currently links are made unusable. ExampleLINK I added the input in the editor and output in the browser as a text file, since even if code is entered the links are destroyed. OS: Windows 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.693 Browser: Firefox 50.1.0 cu termi0815

  • Spelling

I find the quality of your articles in the news in recent times just underground. Can’t you at least read the articles before publishing them? That would be really nice of you. There are so many who draw your attention to the mistakes you make but I have the feeling it will be put on it again. As in the BMW thread, it is left out and posts deleted!? I think everyone has the right about the miserable quality that here That’s what I wanted to get rid of. Wishes Merry Christmas and a few quiet days.
