Unfortunately, I notice that some mods try to be a discussion participant and moderator in certain topics. Especially in controversial discussions, this often leads to censorship, because unwanted content is removed or write-blocks are imposed against unwanted participants. I feel that this is more than unfortunate, it resembles a censorship of uninvited opinions. In addition, the standards that the MOD applies to itself and other discussion participants are very different . A report of contributions etc. in the thread makes no sense at all, since they are edited or ignored exactly by this MOD. This is definitely not to be a MOD-Bashing here, most do a perfect job. But few are too emotionally connected with certain topics and miss any objectivity, which I must have as MOD. If I can’t do that I can’t moderate such topics any more. My consequence is that I don’t have to deal with such topics. r participate (so the MOD has achieved its goal). However, I also notice that more and more other participants with controversial opinion withdraw from the topics. I can’t imagine that this is really in the interest of MT.
