  • Members on a map

Moin Moin, that’s what we say in the morning, at noon and in the evening. Does everyone know where they live?? From another forum I know a membership card. Anyone who wants to enter their home town can enter it. I find this quite good, so you can actually get to know active MT`lers in their surroundings. Of course, the whole thing is on a voluntary basis and only one can look at the map, which has registered itself. MT boasts itself with its 8 billion members, but active are only e The KArte should then be a world map, so that rickshaw riders can also enter India. I think it would be good, I have now learned more or less by chance, that one of my MT friends lives 15km next to me. Whether one then makes more of a fuss, is left to you, only often you can get more precise FRAgen regarding some workshops, sellers or insider tips. My experiences with getting to know some protagonists are throughout positive. Greetings from the far north (no not Bremen or Hamburg) Borstel

  • Incorrect display of posts

Hello, for a few days the posts are not displayed correctly anymore, the font ends somewhere right in the Nirvana (see Appendix). Operating system Windows ME, browser Firefox. So far everything has always gone and also the rest is ok. About the “citizen function” I can also read the text completely… Does anyone know the problem? And is there a solution? Many greetings beanzuri

  • MT advertising – where do the information come from?

I notice that the displayed MT advertising always coincides with my current interest situation. For example, I googled for lamps, furniture and recently for IPhone accessories and promptly adjusts the MT advertising to my personal direction of direction. Consider where this information comes from about my activities, who collects it and how it works… I don’t want it!!!

  • Thanks to Motortalk for the excellent platform that we are offered here.

For the new year 2011 we also have to thank the managers or the team of Motortalk. This excellent platform, which Motortalk offers us here, is important for every member. Can many problems be solved without expensive workshop visits. It is also nice that the attached files/images are now visible in stamp format already with the respective question/answer and not first the file has to be opened (with full screen view of course On). Keep up! Greetings quali

  • Motor-Talk invites a …

Meal … I just came up with a thought that I would like to reprint with an excerpt from an email. First of all, this email probably went to all engine talk members and the extract therefore does not contain any private information that is not intended for third parties. Quotation: Excerpt from the email from Motor talk Mal apart from the fact that the birthday of Motor talk would exceed any love parade that has been done so far, as regards the number of visitors … Greeting and so … BassSuchti If the extract from the mail in any way violates any rules, please let me know. As mentioned, I assume that this mail was sent to every registered member, so it would not be a release of sensitive data.

  • Sticky / @habu + influential mod’s

In many large boards (e.g. powerforen) there is the function “Sticky” to fix threads. This is used to keep a FAQ or other important threads permanently on the first page in a forum. Thus, for example, many in the A3 forum could look at a FAQ and not ask the 28932 question if it is normal that the spotlights are fogged. Because this is permanently on the nerves of people who constantly answer these questions. A few people are therefore unfortunately on other boards. Boards wipe out. What’s a pity, because this loses some competence. That’s why I plead that this Sticky function is activated and also used (by the mods in the respective areas).

  • 7 moderators, no one there …

Meal … I have a question that should not be considered negative by any means. I don’t want to insinuate or accuse anyone. The Astra-F area here on Motor-Talk has 7 moderators that are there: – KKW 20 – HOFFI – BlackTM – globalwalker – Caravan16V – Schreddi – QPhalanx With some I have occasional contact via PN. Now to the actual question … I notice a thread in the Astra-F area that runs in unsightly directions. I see that a moderator is online, and tell this directly via PN. Usually an immediate reaction comes, my request is processed and then comes the sentence: “For such cases please always use the alarm button” … Sure this alarm button is a great setup, but you should then also pull the cables up to the respective moderator and “install” a bell with it. So far my alarm activation was almost always processed by moderators from other areas. – TAIFUN (unfortunately) – andyrx (installed) As mentioned above, I don’t want to insinuate anything here. I would only be interested in what we have there 7 moderators, if they are rather inactive there. A moderator once told me that he thinks we are so mature to solve problems with other users alone. So far we have always done quite well … but then it came to the “alarm”, then it was again one of the four just fenced up. I am well aware that the moderators also have a private life and can not hang around the clock in the motor talk. But if 3 moderators from the Astra-F area are online and none of them responds to the “alarm”, but someone else, then I would like to ask such questions. I would be glad if someone would explain to me about this … also the moderators I mentioned. Greeting and so … BassSuchti

  • Kaspersky blocks motor talk

I don’t know if this is the right subforum for my problem? For a few days now, I have been preventing the side-building of Kaspersky’s motor talk. I use Firefox and all other pages to work. If I turn off Kaspersky, the motor talk page goes back again. I still have Windows XP and Kaspersky Internet Security 2011. Do I have to check the settings or remove them? I would be grateful for your help.
