  • Why does an MT notification email become an additional SPAM mail?

Hello workshop! Why does an MT notification email become an additional SPAM mail? Situation: I subscribed to a thread. In new posts I receive an email from MT. And sometimes I also receive another mail from third party, which contains the complete notification mail from MT. My provider marks this as a SPAM mail. I changed my mail address test by test, but that didn’t do anything. Also this new mail address for MT comes next to I copied the raw data from an email pair. From the original mail: Return-Path: Received: from mail17-111.srv2.de ([193.169.180.11]) by … for <"myinfo">; Sun, 14 Apr 2019 06:17:16 +0200 From the fake: Return-Path: Received: from 036041.de ([45.169.108.51]) … Received: from [80.171.222.148] ([120.98.134.64]) … whois “036041.de” = 45.169.108.51 = Brazil, nserver: …co.uk “80.171.222.148” = HA NSENET-ADSL, Telefonica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG … “120.98.134.64” = Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) => TANET-NET, Ministry of Education Computer Center, 12F, …, Taipei Taiwan 106 Where and how are MT notification emails accessed? Does MT have a leak? VG myinfo Edit: Supplement/explanation. I have replaced the stored mail address with my username = <"myinfo">, as I did not want to publish the mail address.

  • Animated avatars

Since I also have one: Animate avatars “run” no longer in a few days. Was something changed?

  • Is Article 13 a threat to motor talk?

Hello MT-Team, Hello Community. Up to now it looked as if Motor-Talk is spared from the article 13 censorship due to its size. (Article 13 is a project of the EU to hold online platforms responsible for the content of their pages in the future, i.e. for copyright violations by user uploads no longer only to make the user liable, but also the platform. In addition, the EU calls for an uplaod filter to prevent copyright violations in this way, which in the planned However, smaller platforms should not be affected.) Now Germany has unfortunately closed down before France and has now agreed to the following framework conditions, which, however, severely restricts the exception for small platforms: maximum 10,000,000€ turnover/year (no idea if MT comes there, rather not) maximum 5,000,000 registered(?) users (D is MT still under) But now it comes: maximum age of the platform: 3 years. So that the MT does not exist from A rtikel 13 excepted and would probably not be able to continue to exist as a community-based network in this form according to the present state. I wanted to address the topic once, since there are surprisingly few who seriously think about it.

  • Why are these things being tolerated here?

Since 6.3.19 you can read this post. At least two users were called to intervene. Nothing has happened so far: Quotation: @thocar wrote on 6 March 2019 at 18:01:55: Greetings from Ostelch

  • Clear marking for threads that have been inactive for a long time

…And by that I mean from about 2 years. Worse, often 6-8 years old threads are revived and filled with meaningless comments on age-old problems. This is especially noticeable to me in the general purchase advice and with new users, who dig out 5 corpses with their 5 first posts senselessly. And since not automatically the first look goes towards date and many for the context the whole (several pages long) thread is then always frustrated, if you end up only someone after 6 years adds “Yes, but did you drive that already?”. Usually followed by someone who points out the age and six others who also ignore this because they don’t even read the latest posts, but found on page 4 of 2014 any comment that displeases them and absolutely requires a comment. Even if a legitimate new question is behind it, the first thing that goes under in new comments about old chamomiles is skilfully. and I find it extremely annoying. I understand that the threads are kept open to discuss similar problems and not to have 30 threads on a topic, but the above phenomenon follows in each of these cases. Wouldn’t it be possible to automatically mark posts that are inactive for more than 18 months (not only when someone posts something in it again) with a color-like flair “old” or similar? Best in the topic overview and in the topic sel bst, meintwegem in the header of each affected post. By the way, I found this thread from 2014 but did not use it to not ironically repeat the scenario from above. Greetings to the team Flo

  • Suddenly mail notifications for subscribed topics

Dear ones, either haunted in my browser, or in the MT engine room something is broken. I generally don’t use theme subscriptions. Only emails are ordered when new PNs are there. Since this evening, starting with my current visit (from approx. 21:05 clock), I suddenly have “automatic” subscriptions of all topics in which I have left a new post. Of course, I can turn this off via “Manage subscribed topics”. But I’ll leave it on first, maybe you can get out find where the mistake is.

  • How do the decisions of the moderators arise?

A hello to the moderators and the motor talk team, how do the moderators actually make decisions and how are they legitimized or monitored? Suppose a user does not behave in accordance with the NUB from a moderator’s point of view. Then the moderator discusses this with the other colleagues or can he directly lock them or pronounce a temporary driving ban? What happens if the moderator’s decision is considered inappropriate by the person concerned or even by several users? d. How is this problem solved then? Isn’t it also useful if threatening barriers are always discussed with the user and other moderators before they are executed? In real life one can always express oneself to the allegations. The volunteer moderator is certainly not a free letter to do and let what comes into the mind of a moderator, because it should be based on reciprocity, which is in the interest of all, because without moderators here would quickly chaos h I will certainly not mention any names here, because I am not concerned with specific cases, but I would like to clarify the basics here so that I can understand the connections better.

  • Discussion on the publication of a PN

According to which the moderator Moorteufelchen accused me of “human contempt”, which is already in the area of evil talk, because I have described the number of traffic deaths as low compared to the population number, my trust anyway is gone. Obviously one is not protected from becoming a game ball overemotional moderators, who have increased their rights to head. Also at this point I reject the allegations and wait from another side still for a reaction of the crew. I I am not going to let a new moderator insult me in such a vile way in public space and I am not interested in taking back such a accusation. Accordingly, I demand the withdrawal of the warning for this case.

  • Can’t open in the new tab or window anymore?

I noticed here at MT (and only here) that the “opening in the new TAB” doesn’t work with the 3rd mouse button anymore. In the new window, it doesn’t work either. I didn’t look for the “error” now either, because it works on other pages as usual! New feature or just like that with me? It’s only been like this for a day or two.
