Hello together, I am currently driving a Cayman as a fun car and have been wondering for a long time if there are actually disadvantages that affect the durability (motor, transmission.. etc) if you move the car only every 2 weeks and then on a 100 to 200 km distance? A daily moving car “holds” about 150,000 to 250k km. Can you expect such a mileage from a vehicle that is always maintained with oil change and what belongs to it but only a twice a month At 5000 km of annual runtime it would take 30 years to get to 150,000km??… What do you think about it?

Car Purchase – Inputs and Tips
I would like to buy a car in the coming months and would like to have inputs, reviews, tips etc. I don’t need an everyday car, I have it, it should be a pure “will” car, which also doesn’t have to be economical. Also charging volume etc. doesn’t matter. What doesn’t matter, the seats are. It’s an added value, even if the children can ride along, but it’s not an absolute must My first brainstorming has resulted in these cars, so for orientation, in which direction and it goes: Lamborghini Gallardo Aston Martin V8 Vantage BMW 850CSi Alpina B3S E46 Alpina B3S E93 Nissan GT-R Lotus Exige Aston Martin DB9 so, that’s it… What do you think about it?

Maserati engine damage at 50,000 km – who can recommend an expert?
Hello dear sports car friends, after almost 50,000 km it happened: on a country road the engine of my Maserati Ghibli SQ4 began to jerk, got dropouts, and I just made it to the next breakdown bay. The car was taken from the breakdown service to the next Maserati workshop. Diagnosis: Engine damage. What exactly could not be told. Could have been a defect of the oil pump or also a demolition of the oil film, at least chips are in the oil and a storage damage a A repair of the engine does not make any sense, the engine has to be replaced. Strangely, I thought, the car was only 4 weeks ago at the 2nd inspection. But well, I am still within the two-year warranty. Unfortunately, however, the manufacturer refuses to take over the repair costs and points out that during the first maintenance (20,000) a year earlier I have exceeded the permissible tolerance of 3,000 km. For me it is unclear whether the engine damage, the a year later, it was actually due to it. Just as well, it could be that the oil pump had a mistake or something was wrong with the last maintenance four weeks ago. Just as intransparent to me as the cause is the damage itself. What is exactly defective was obviously not investigated, but I am supposed to pay for the repair. I would like to have this examined more closely and hope that in this way an independent reviewer to find someone who knows about engine damage in this segment. Does anyone have recommendations or advice for me? Jareth

Maserati Ghibli 3.0 Diesel Cost and reliability?
Hello together Actually I chose a Jaguar XF 3.0 diesel with 275ps. But the Maserati offers the same amount of horsepower and is also nice. In addition, it should be economical. That’s why I would like to take a look at the Maserati. What is the maintenance regarding repair costs and service? Similar to Jaguar and Audi? Or at Ferrari level like the Maserati Gran Turismo? And how is the interval? Do they do what in everyday life or do they always break? was a reliable everyday car… Thank you! lg Dani

Get a ride in Supercar?
In my professional life I had recently worked with rides, offered UBER-like taxi service etc. and then the idea came to me, why is there actually no switching center for supercar rides? There are several sports car drivers who move your vehicle only “just like that” without a specific destination, on home routes, because they want to approve an emotional break. Alone this is often a waste, for two among like-minded people this is certainly more fun! it meets people at the tank or appeals to sports car events, which often convey the feeling that they like to talk about your cars, are not averse even sometimes to take someone with you / to offer him a ride, it can satisfy other people to realize a dream. There are also special events, organized by service clubs, to allow kids or other people who would never afford such a car, sometimes a ride… On the other hand, there are many people If you don’t want to be allowed to ride in a Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc., just like that. A spin, 10min, 1 st, an afternoon… whatever. It doesn’t have to be about money, the people who drive a supercar hopefully don’t depend on it… the passenger can show himself in his frame and budget, invite on an ice cream at the hall, a lunch, a tank filling, many people don’t want anything else, because they don’t want to have anything else. I have not found a platform that brings such people together with your wishes, nor a forum. What do you think there would be interest on the part of Supercar owners or passengers looking for a ride?

Sports Cars Suitable for Everyday Use
Hello I want to buy a sports car that costs ~50k and is relatively suitable for everyday use I mean under 20 liters of fuel consumption. It should be mobile every day and stay humane as possible, so it is best not 4000€ for a brake change. Therefore I would like to ask you which cars you have in mind which can fit into the picture. For comparison I have already picked out two models that I liked very much. The Aston Martin v8 and the BMW M4. info: I don’t want you to call me to collect data about the vehicles because I’m too lazy, I’m writing here because I want to hear your personal opinion about your (in the picture above) fav. vehicle. I’m looking forward to your answers.

Reliability California/Portofino
Perhaps a somewhat stupid question, but what experience did you have with your Californias or Portofinos? Are there children’s diseases or constantly little things that annoy you. My salesman said that the Portofino is a real GT and 60,000 km at all no problem. I have shrugged there, because with my current (which I will sell) I would talk about reliability only from 160 tkm or 260 tkm and acknowledge this. Of course, I think about it for a Garan. the extension, because everything except the series must be extremely expensive at Ferrari. PS.: Nevertheless, I look forward to my Portofino already very bad!!

Quo vadis, sports car?
With electric cars, it is easy to achieve high performance. That’s why sports cars are probably highly electrified in the future. However, the higher the performance, the faster the battery is empty. And that’s a conflict of goals that cannot be solved at the moment. Fat batteries have a high weight, and that’s why the curve speeds and braking performance are not going to carry any 750kg of batteries in the foreseeable future, as the Tesla Model S has. And even with often high power output on a race track at about 80% power output of the 500kW engine power with its 100kWh battery only about 15 minutes drive, i.e. hardly 40km range. That will probably not be enough for sports cars as we know and expect them.

Which car is this?
Hi, the last time I met a dark red sports car two times, with a very special body. Was it first certain it was a Ferrari but I can’t find anything that looks like that now. It looks very new, a sports coupé, quite large dimensions and the rear looks like a drop in the wind, the tail lights too. Someone an idea what that can be?

Find someone who has a sporty car and wants to take me with him
Hello Motor-Talker, The title is maybe a bit stupid, so here explains again: I (23) am still a relative beginner, still still in the trial period, but since I have discovered the love for cars, especially fast cars. Since I don’t really come to the pleasure with my old mill to be properly squeezed into the seat, I thought, I ask here if not someone from the room NRW, with corresponding car, sometimes I like as idriver to take the AB. Tank filling and coffee would of course go to me. Rejoice me if someone agrees to say hello trial time
