  • Suzuki GSXR 750R Built 2001

Hello together, I would need an opinion of experienced Suzuki riders, would be nice if someone could help me with my decision. Yesterday I looked at a Suzuki GSXR 750R Built. 2001 at the dealer’s for a price of 3000€. Mileage: 43,000 Included in the price: new TÜV and battery The motorcycle is really in top optical condition. It’s also nice! Tires can easily still ride this season, brake still good, chain fits! But I’m not a professional – the ha ken at the machine: The dealer says the previous owner was some workshop manager and the motorcycle then ended up with him due to insolvency. According to the dealer, the previous owner has maintained the machine top and made any customer service. The problem: there is no proof of it. I do not know whether the large customer service was actually carried out or, for example, the valves were set. The whole makes me a little stumpy. What’s your opinion about it? Is it too risky? I’m a student and I’m aware that customer service and maintenance costs money, but it’s still a big difference for me if I’m having a rest for a season or if I have to put another 1000€ into the machine. I thank you now for your answers!

  • LS 650 Oil consumption search Tips and opinions

Hello together, Micha and quite fresh here in the forum, My wife and I drive among other bikes also an LS 650. However, her oil needs, but I want to explain this more: Purchased last year with approx. 7500 km. 4 gear engine. Previous owner had removed the upper engine cover and removed camshaft and tilt lever with shafts. Why can’t I ask more since he unfortunately passed away. So we ordered at KFM a new shaft and tilt lever together with new screws Gaskets, stoppers etc. All built in and the first test run who top. Now she has Tüv and is registered, we made the first longer test drive. It starts badly has to start up to four times. Spark plug is new. Then when it runs it takes about half a minute then it smokes blue, which is gone again after about another minute. In driving operation nothing can be seen, while accelerating as well as in sliding mountain down there Qualmt nix. However, we are about 180 km dangerous about 200 ml we had to refill until in the glass was again on max. Of course with straight standing machine. Petrol consumption is also very low about 3.8 to 4 liters on 100. The engine has not yet run. Compression is at 13 bar. Have the valve shaft seals suspected. That it burns in the stand while turning on oil what is dripping into the cylinder. Does anyone have an idea or a guess what that could be??? Must the upper lid be removed again… d anke schonmal im vorräs

  • Clutch/circuit Suzuki GSX 1100f

Hello Bikergemeinde, I have the following problem with my Suzuki GSX 1100f Bj. 93 with 102kw. Have you now from the hibernation fetched us it sprang also immediately again. I am then full of anticipation again in the house to put on the motorcycle clothing so that I can enjoy a little the nice weather. Suzi started to put in the first gear, no chance. Hmm I thought, put in the 2 and ride it warm times. Also no chance. Just like all other gears too. Oil is available enough n, also in the hydraulic coupling. When I made you winterproof in November 2019, everything still worked super. Has anyone ever had this problem or can give me a tip what it could be? Thanks in advance for your answers The Coach

  • GS500F power

Hi, I’m new here and I’m about to ask the first question Maybe someone can tell me what that looks like with the GS500F. In the Suzuki brochure there is the one with 25KW. As far as possible. At an additional cost also with 34KW possible. Is there a throttle installed which can be taken out at any time or are directly parts changed on the engine? Unfortunately, I have to admit that I am the bloodiest beginner in the field, but I would like to get this bike in April.

  • Change translation to GSX600F

Has one done it before and has experience with it? Have a GSX 600F BJ.92 with 18000Km on the watch which is fast and powerful (for me) but too high turns. Original is front a 14ner pinion and rear a 45ger chainwheel with it does it though what it should but in my opinion with too high speeds. I wanted to go now on front 17 and back on 43 because it should probably bring a higher final speed which raises me less because I want with less speeds n reach the same speed. Have now only the concerns that I can no longer get away from the traffic light with this translation. The machine doesn’t have to be able to spin but it should also not fall asleep at the traffic light with its 90hp. I drive long distance and can’t turn it off so high.

  • Swinger too wide? Swinger is pulled together during assembly

Good evening together! First of all a welcome greeting, since I am a new member of your forum! I have a question that I could not solve directly despite explosion drawings and workshop manual. (not to mention Google…) It is about a GSF 1200 Bandit (Bj. 1998) GV75A the following scenario:Task: Set chain tension 1. Release the nut from the main bolt 2. Adjust the tension slide (li and re) so that the chain has approx.35 mm stroke 3. tighten the axle boltNow the problem: When the main axis is tightened, the chain is tightened by itself, as soon as the axle is fully tightened, the chain is virtually tight (you can see this when tightening the chain becomes tighter). I then saw that the wheel (incl. distance sleeves and caliper holder) has 3 mm play left/right on the non-tightened axle. The swingarm is almost 3 mm to wide. By tightening the main nut, the swingarms are pulled together until the distance by wheel, sleeves et c. is limited. now the question(s): Is the topic “chain spans after” together with the too wide swing? Or is the distance even normal? Swing and rim are original. I bought the machine used and want to make it fit for the season. Greetings and a nice evening. Horb1200

  • Suzuki Bandit 600 purchase advice

Hello guys, actually I’m on the road in the Volvo forum, now I’m on my way here. I need a consultation, I’m looking at a bandit 600 from 2002 tomorrow, it has 26500km down and is supposed to cost 2250 euros. Can you please tell me what I have to pay attention to, or is it too expensive? It’s from the dealer and it’s done before an inspection with oil change etc.. Thanks already in advance. Greetings Heiko

  • Suzuki GS 500 – To the experienced out there 😉

Hello everyone, this is my first entry here and I would like to say that I find the forum great here! Now to my “problem”. I’ve been riding moped for 2 years and I want to finally switch to a real motorcycle. Have been looking for some time and at the moment especially have the Suzuki GS 500 in mind (models from this century). Since I don’t know so much, but I know that many of you know it, I would like to know if it’s worth it for you gs 500 more al s 2300 to pay. (e.g. 10 years old, 15k km, probably in good condition). Otherwise I am open for alternatives concerning beginners up to 48 HP, only I would not like to pay more than 2k. Vg (sry if entry in this type already exists)

  • Drivers?

Hello. First of all, I would like to apologize in advance for typing errors. German language is just a heavy language )) And now briefly to my question. At 17 years I got an aprilia rs 50. I drove the good piece about 2 years. Even with the few hp and narrow rear tires were slanting and Willys no problem. So. I am now 28 and since that no longer driven. Last year in late summer my A driver’s license made. First on ne 600 he ridden ) (er6 n). My first impression. A lot of bangs But that was really the first one after half an hour driving the thing was already too lam to me. I also have to say that I had a very cool driving instructor. 160 170 on. Highway always drove without being noticed. Now it’s the summer coming and wants to get a kilo. Ne k4 or a cbr. Well I have respect for so much performance but when I buy a 600 he is afraid that will be too little performance. also family father and I don’t want to kill myself. And at the end I want to add that I’m a test driver by profession but of course in the car area and therefore maybe also this respect for so much performance. What should I do. Willys I want to do with the new motorcycle of course and also sporty driving. But do not want to kill me by any means ) Ask for advice and apologize again for the spelling and half the bible )) Thank you in advance

  • Wants to ask because I can’t believe it.

Hello guys: My new intruder C 1500 T is a great thing. Chewed at the beginning of August 2015. I’m generally happy with it. Well. I’ve done the experiment several times and I can’t believe the result. I can’t fill up until I can’t go any more. I can’t drive until the tank is empty but without a drop of gasoline. That’s 221 km. Here it’s not too much or too little Spri. The problema I’m refueling until I can’t go any more and I can’t ever go into it anymore. but the tank is 18 liters according to the seller. IS THE POSSIBLE Suzuki has drunk here and Intruders C 1500 T sold with three liters of small tank as indicated? And if ya. What can you do about it? MfG Angelo
