  • Performance dispersion in the Alfa 156 1.8TS

    Hello, I recently bought an Alfa 156 1.8TS… already before I bought the test drive, I noticed that the car is unusually fast and powerful for a vehicle with 1.8 liters of engine capacity… Well, it’s not a small machine but I didn’t expect this brachial force… So I drove out the car on the highway and the speedo needle went well over the 240 km/h… At first I thought the speedo was broken, but then I took a nav. .. Top speed on the Navi was 237km/h on straight road… After that I had the car tested on a test bench… Result: 144KW so almost 200hp… That’s why I have a few questions for you: Is there anyone else whose 1.8 is so different from its performance??? Or can it be that there is a fault in the factory data and the car does not have 144 HP but 144 KW??? It is not impossible to get 200 HP out of a 1.8L engine… think of the Ho nda S2000, the 240 hp delivers at 2 liters of engine capacity or various other overturned high-tech cars from the Far East… Would be grateful for your advice…

  • GT 3.2 V6 with 160tkm

    Hello people, apart from the suspension problem, timing belts and oil and so I have another question. I heard, the V6 easily manages 300tkm and more if the driver treats it properly. I have now discovered one with, one without LPG conversion. Are the gas resistant? Or should I rather take the without gas? both run around 160tkm. Otherwise, timing belts, crossbars and entire front axle testing is so the most important thing in the mileage or? Or is there something that in the km performance must be made before like e.g. bearing shells with the e36 M3

Car nailed at the gas give in idle! from 2000 revolutions with interruptions to the top At load only sometimes…sometimes it runs through to 4000 then it starts to nail So crankshaft and camshaft are in Order! Was carried out by the master operation! So everything is to be excluded 100 percent… The reperatur was over 5000 kilometers ago! Since then the car drives with the dieseln/nageln No chips in the oil! Now you come into play! one an idea? And please refer only to the problem.   • From inside ice scraping? Problems known?

    Hi, once again me. I get really excited that my windows are so extremely fogged from the inside that I even get on the way, and that with full load on windshield and full heat with circumferential air the windshield is not completely free.     Hello, I have an Alfa 166 Bj: 2005 , 2,4 jtd 20V . When starting it has no power and when it comes and the turbo jumps in , then comes out a black smoke cloud . Have already cleaned the throttle flap , the AGR cleaned and just can not find the error . Also the V-belt screeches always when starting up , new V-belts , new tensioner and the large disk I have also changed . All mentioned problems are still there . Can someone say something ?   • Squeaking = beginning of the end?

    Hi people, I read with horror how many prejudices there are still against Alfa. Or is it true?? I’m driving a 156 for 18 months, built in 1999 and could not detect any annoyances… except…yes… fuel consumption, insurance.. and then the belt squeaks now, without looking really bad. This can be appeased by silicone spray. Who has a better idea, likes to write.. or are these the first signs from the end??? Comparison to Alfa, drove until Then a Hyundai Accent, totally horny, except for a little thin sheet metal. A 3 BW, also in 1999, you look like monotonous.   • Colors Alfa 147 – before facelift

    Hello, does someone here in the forum know an overview of all the colors that were available for the Alfa 147 up to the Facelift? Even after a long search I haven’t found something like this yet (the Alfa page is unfortunately not helpful with regard to the old model). I am interested in this in general and especially for certain colors: – I have already seen a 147 in dark brown-metallic (and so far only once) – was there this color officially? – I know the metall c-blue, that already drifts into the purple – with some pictures at Mobile.de, etc. however, the blue-metallic paint seems quite nice. Can of course just be due to the pictures – or just because there were several blue-metallic tones. – But I have not found any information about this yet. Would be great if you could help me further in these color questions. 🙂
