  • Alfa as police car

Hello, just wanted to say that I saw police cars with the brand Alfa in Verona. And that surprised me very much because alfa is not really suitable as a police car. There are certainly criminals easier than other countries. Well, nobody wants to step too close.

  • Alfa still rustling?

‘moin, had my 156 sports car on the stage on Saturday to do a service, when I looked at the box a little bit from below while the used oil ran out, I found on the passenger side in the back two suspicious-looking brown spots around the semi-oval openings where the sweat water should run out under the carpet. I then lifted the underbody guard a little bit and already broke off the first piece of sheet metal, next to it in the next bead, got the rust The car is only 6 years old and already has rust holes in the floor. Why is the floor sheet not galvanized? Are the Alfa engineers Spackos or is that what they want? The holder that carries the charging air cooler is also completely eaten by the rust. Isn’t there a guarantee against rusting at Alfa? So a 2 g of ’88 ha t less rust than an Alfa of 2002……

  • Water inlet

Hai Alfagemeinde, maybe one of you can help me. I drive an Alfa 156 1.8 TS, Built 98. He has now about 104Tkm down and ran until now without major problems. Last August the flex pipe was changed on the exhaust and the workshop of my trust still said how good he is in shot and has no rusting approaches. By chance my wife, who was with him outside, discovered that everything was wet in the footroom back. The water was about 2cm high (only behind the ride). She had to cut the whole cover and felt, which was already completely porous, to drain the water off. I had it now on stage. There is absolutely nothing to see where the water could enter. No rust. Except a few sweaty water stains, from where the water is dripping down now, nothing is to be seen. Advice boxes etc. everything is fine. At the moment a mystery from where the water could come. Someone has s chon had such a similar problem and if so, what can you do about it. Thank you. Greetings from Slazenger156

  • Some ask about the 156er 2.4jtd, alpha is unknown to me

Moin Moin, I’m looking for a low-budget car. I’m looking for a cheap diesel…….. I’ve seen 2 Alfa 156 2.4jtd, both of which are priced at €2000 (+ €500 – €100). One is a Limo from 2001 with 190,000 km on it, the other is a sports car with 240.000km on it, which also comes from 2001. Now I’m looking for a limo from 2001 with 190,000 km on it, the other is a sports car with 240.000km on it. not the type that says: I heard that….. No, every cart can be Schei**e therefore I do not judge about manufacturers. What interests me, these running performances are still acceptable and can I confidently spit on it another 100,000km? Technical care is pre-set. Let’s briefly illustrate: At car exchanges in the net you can find e.g. bmw diesel with 400,000 + Alfa goes so up to 350,000 (but are very few) -> this is due to failures of the cars or why are so we nige to find? About well-intentioned advice, technical general information, Vers. kosten etc I would also be pleased.

  • Alfa 156 Purchase – The QUALIT of choice

The 2.5V6 with smooth 190 horses (favorit) or the 2.0TS (155,150ps) or for example the newer 2.0jts with 166 horses? What do you say? (Pros and cons of the engines, durability, service/change intervals, weak points, driving fun) I’m not a racer, but sometimes I want to demand the motor (pros and cons of the engines, durability, service/change intervals, driving fun) I’m not a racer, but sometimes I want to demand the motor (speak fast about holverfahren, bit landstraße), but also do not heat like a stupid. Danke already for your help!

  • Alfa 156: Engine temperature fluctuations

Hello, I drive an Alfa 156, Bj 2001, 1.8 liters. I have the problem that the engine temperature fluctuates. If it is standing (or also in traffic jam) it goes beyond the 90°C, just before the next stroke the fan starts and the temperature goes down again. While driving, the temperature is always just below the 90° mark. Usually constant just before 90°C. If you roll for a while (mountain down, 10 to 20 seconds), the temperature goes already almost run The temperature is always in the range “one stroke before and one stroke after the 90°C (mid stroke)” and on average I would estimate just below 90°C. A few fluctuations are certainly not quite unusual with a car of this year of construction, but I find this kind of fluctuations quite striking. Are easily times 20 to 30°C, right? (I don’t know how this display is scaled, I don’t think it’s linear scaling) Have also the feeling that it takes quite a long time to get warm. With a slow journey ~50km/h it takes forever, on the highway at just under 120km/h it goes within a few minutes. From the stand it does not get warm (not measurable). Know this from other cars (e.g. Fiat Punto Bj. 2000) also differently. One should not do it but for comparison it is good. They also get warm after a certain time and often have smaller engines. But now I have not been completely actionless so far: The first suspicion, clear, broken thermostat. So I changed the thermostat. But there was no improvement. I would now start a second thermostat test but would like to know beforehand if there is anyone else who has a different idea? Any sensor perhaps? Any cable that could be torn? Diagnostic device by the way shows nothing. The measuring clock has even been changed in the course of another reperature (only the measuring clock). Greetings and thanks in advance. Vik gate By the way: when the air conditioning is switched on, the temperature is never higher than 90°C, whether in the stand or during the ride. Presumably, because the fan starts up again and again anyway.

  • Very high oil consumption!!!!

Moin all together, I drive an Alfa 156 SW 2,0JTS…..I drove with him last week to Berlin (650km a track). After about 500km I took a break and thought to look for the oil stand, had checked him before driving (was on max) but since I have not driven by car as long as I have not driven yet I can’t hurt it, and see that I had to refill 1.5L.After another 400KM again 1L and on the journey home again 1L.So I have to 1500km 3.5 L Oil consumption. Strangely only it’s not leaky and blue smoke doesn’t do it either………In urban traffic it consumes 1L on 2000KM!? Have read here in the forum that he needs oil, but so much????Maybe one of you knows what it is about???How can I fix it???Are there really other piston rings??? Would be very grateful for answers….

  • Alfa 156 SW JTD – Which engine is most reliable?

Hello together, I’m thinking about whether I have a 2004 156 SW. Now I have problems, i.e. questions: 1. I drive at least 20,000 km a year – so it should be a diesel. Question, which one? I’m not a raster and would like to keep the consumption as low as possible as the decision is probably made between the JTD 1,9 116 hp or just 1,9 JTD 140 hp, or also the 150 hp version. Both of the moror performance should satisfy me. My question is, which of the two engines is more reliable and s I know this depends on care, driving behaviour etc., but do there perhaps trends that can be observed? Is it unrealistic that it can last well up to about 220,000? 2. General Diesel particle filters I live and move in a region without an environmental zone. (Who knows how long) Should I prefer one of the respective engines, as the conversion is cheaper etc.? Bzw. Does someone know which badge is more parsame, since they are close together from the factory specifications? 3. Are there standard things that I should examine in the test drive/view, as the characteristics are for good/bad treatment of the previous owners? The respective object of the desire has about 80,000 km down. Thank you already once for your help Beautiful greeting Arthur

  • Alfa 156 2.0 or 2.5 ??

HiHo guys, I’m thinking about buying an alfa 156 but I don’t know which one, the 2.0 has ~150ps 16V of 2.5 has ~190ps V6 is true, right? =) now my question I had an audio tt 8n 1.8t and wants to break performance ratio so sprit and power the better of the alfa, the v6 alfa goes faster than the tt? and the consumption I do about the 11L or? the 2.0er is remarkably worse than the v6? and the consumption is about the 9L or? and which vo n the two has the better sound? clear the V6 but much better??? pay themselves in the end effect the ~2l/100km more out of performance and fun or rather take the 150ps alfa?? please help =) thank people xD

  • Diesel consumption of 159

Hello everyone, I’ve had a new 159 SW 1.9 JTDM for a few weeks – so the diesel with 150 hp. I’m quite excited about the car. The look is great, the performance is sufficient for me (more than) and pleasantly comfortable inside. The cargo space is even so large that I can even sleep in it (1,85m) 🙂 Only one thing kills me and rather irritates me: the consumption is indicated with 8l/4,8l/6l (in/out/out/out/combined) in the brochure. I have now driven about 4000 km. d have a mean consumption of 8,1l. My absolute minimum was once on the highway 7,4l. In the city operation the consumption then goes up to 10l. And that, although I am a very defensive driver! These are nevertheless noticeable differences against the brochure specifications. Is that right? What have you done for your experience? What is your consumption? Are you going to do something against the high consumption? Are you looking forward to your answers Thank you and many greetings!!!
