  • Purchase advice 156 2.4JTD

Day together, would have an offer for a beautiful 156 bj 2002 with 130tkm on the clock and with very good equipment and beautiful 18-inch. 2.4l 140hp machine. Price is between 5000 and 5500 euros. The vehicle is not maintained checkbook and has a repaired damage front left. Looks inside us except for age and mileage very well maintained. What do you think: Is this a car what you can buy in good conscience? And is the price ok? There is also some tuning exhaust system in it. H I’m a little surprised, because, to my knowledge, the diesel systems don’t make a sound comparable to gasoline. To the info: I’m used to A3 with 2.0 TDI. During the test drive of the beautiful Alfa, the part had a hammer sound. But didn’t come from the back of the exhaust but from the front of the engine compartment. Can this be or is it leaking and blowing out air somewhere where it shouldn’t? How is the engine sound of the Alfas usually? Similar to the TDI? And why are beautiful cars is always so expensive in insurance???

  • List of problems with JTS bj.:2003 2L 166PS

Tomorrow all together, even if I don’t add my mustard to every topic, I noticed that there are little problems with my model / ALFA ROMEO SPORTWAGON JTS bj.: 2003 Face Lift 2L 166PS. I would like to create a list with problems that could affect me or others with this model. I start now simply ma. – Thermostat defective / new part 50€ / installation cost none, since made myself – steering stick switch defective (SET-KNOPF at the turn signal lever) / Used part via ebay 40€ / installation via ALFA 50€ – cross handlebars at the top because of squeaking exchanged / via ebay both for 60€ / installation costs none, as made by yourself So, my list is not all too long. I’m curious what is with you. Greeting Michael

  • Buy Alfa-Romeo 156 2.5 V6 – Experiences?

Ciao Together I’m thinking about buying an Alfa-Romeo 156 2.5 V6 for my mother – but I don’t know much about Alfa’s because I drive Audi myself. I tried the car today, everything was very good, it’s full on the road and it’s really fun! The car has 96’000 km, year 1998, is black, Limo, beige Momo leather interior, sun roof, white fittings, wooden steering wheel – that was some kind of “luxury” package and makes a good impression in itself. In addition, the car has an S port exhaust system, an EIBACH sports suspension and a retrofitted Domstrebe. Last service a year ago at 88’000km, in the summer for 2000 Euro brakes changed and rusted points repaired, timing belts changed at about 65’000 the last time (this is supposed to be relatively delicate with the Alfas?). The box should cost around 6000 Euro and is private. What do you think about it? Are these reliable cars or are they more often complications with them? I like the car very much and I b but would like to ask briefly how your experiences with this car are! Thanks for feedback 🙂 Greetings, sportec

  • Test drive in 159 2.4 JTDM – BMW driver is thrilled!

Hello Alfisti, since today I can understand why your Alfa is driving! I am currently a double BMW driver and am looking for a new one now because my 1er should be gone. To the selection for me stood BMW 3er, Audi A4, A6 and also an Alfa Romeo 159. It is supposed to be a used (2-3 years). Today I drove the Alfa test. And now I have no choice anymore. The Alfa will! I really loved the car. The prejudices against Alfa like bad workmanship etc. I can absolutely The engine is neat and has up to 120 also good bangs. But from 160-180 it becomes really tough, my 177 HP 1 is much faster. But the engine is gladly pardoned for the dream look and feel-good ambience in the interior. The Pros and Contras: PRO – Design Design Design Design Design > simply not to be compared with the (sorry) representative cars of German premium manufacturers – up to country road speed powerful – interior is great, the leather very noble, the center console a Dream! – Chassis sporty AND comfortable – did I already say design? CONTRA – drunker? (I couldn’t determine, according to fuel monitor 8.5l but don’t think I can do it) – engine above lame – no tip flashing If I can’t see that my test car lost power while driving and the engine control lights wildly lit an absolutely dreamy car! But according to the seller it was only on the particle filter that has to be blown free… No matter, the test car won’t. But if j and has one in the price range up to 16,000 EUR with brown or beige leather: Bring it on! LG Daniel – soon Alfisti

  • Installation of Hifi plant in 2001er 156 SW

Hello colleagues! My Alfa is a 156 sports car 3/2001. Now I have a lot of Car Hifi items lying around from my last vehicles. In the garage it is not worth anything, I prefer to build it in my Alfa 😉 I have the following plans: -USB Radio -4 speakers in the doors replace -2-channel power amplifier (Rockford) -Suwbooferkiste (Rockford) This should make the sound quite ok in the Alfa. Can you give me tips on the following questions: -Now an Alfa phone radio is installed, need Is there apertures for normal radios because the radio shaft has a “abbreviation” to the top? -What speakers are in the 4 doors? Are there all 4 16 speakers of the same type? -Can you just switch these 4 speakers or have to lower the door panels? If so, how does it work without damaging anything? -Where do I go best with the power cable from the battery to the interior for the amplifier and where do you put it at the leic? hstesten und besten? -Where do I get bulk in the trunk for the final stage? Thanks for your tips and support now! LG Peter

  • Alfa 156 SW Facelift – dimensions trunk

Hello dear Alfa friends! As we plan to turn our fleet into bella italiano piece by piece and now only our main car (Audi A6 Avant) is not Italian anymore, I would like to ask a few questions… Since we do not really need 2 cars at the moment and therefore I want to sell my Audi, over short or long (also because of dog and caravan) still need a station wagon again, the 156 SW or 159 SW are currently in question. The Alfa should then be somewhere at 10,000 EUR for savings reasons. In this price range is probably “only” the 156 SW (year 04-05) to get. Basically, I would like the car extremely well, but as I said a few questions. 1. I have to put my dog box in. Could one of you tell me the exact dimensions of the 156 SW trunk? I would need the measure from the front edge floor/back bench to the rear edge B The width of the trunk (ground) would also be interesting. 2. For caravans I need an AHK (removable) on the Alfa again. What costs such a thing with Alfa? Is it easy to mount? How is the 156 in the trailer operation? (engine should become the JTD with 140 hp) 3. What needs to be taken into account with the 156 diesel? What are well-known problems that should be checked when buying? When is the timing belt too change with the diesel (140 hp). How much KM should the car have max. on the hump so that is still longer error-free on the road? That would be the first questions, would be great if someone could answer me!

  • Brake wear indicator at 156 2.5 V6

Hello dear Alfisti! I had to bring my 156 (EZ 04/00) into the workshop just because of defective drive cuffs and the workshop said that additionally brake pads and brake discs have to be replaced at the front… Now I am discussing with the master because I see both the pads and the discs as still in order…. I don’t know what the part I mean is, but there seems to be a kind of contact with other manufacturers, which as soon as the brakes are close to the vehicle Rschleiss border are squeaked or dragged in such a way that the exchange is announced…. Maybe someone knows more?

  • Coolant and air conditioning

Hello, 4 months ago I bought an Alfa 156 2.0 TS built in 2001. Today I was in the workshop because in the hot weather I noticed that the air conditioning system was not really cool. (What I could not control during the test drive in winter at minus 10 degrees) The master said it was probably a hole in the system and there the cooling liquid went out. He also said that the Komnpressor did not run at all, according to his statement normal, if no coolant dri n is. ?!? What does the cooling liquid cost? and what does the repair cost about? Bez actually has to be carried by the workshop if it has been like this since the beginning?

  • 166 which engine you recommend

Hello Douch mal Hilfe hier im Alfaforum I would like to buy an Alfa after several BMWs, it should be a 166er, am looking so up to 10,000 Euro, for this there is already a big offer. My question now, which engine is recommended 2.5 or 3.0, what looks like with the reliability of the respective engines, what consumes you so realistic. What should you pay attention to when buying, which stacks the 166er The diesel 2.4 JTD should be quite good, but I think the is worth less for me, because I drive with the private car only about 8-10000 KM Km a year and I also prefer to have a 6 cylinder petroler.
