  • 159 really so bad !??

Hello, I have read today a car-motor sport edition in which the Alfa 159 got the silver car awarded, as second worst car 2007……it is reported there of various problems, I understand not quite, according to the previous newspaper articles the 159er was always highly praised. I had planned a possible purchase of a good used 2,2JTS, usually it is the standard the Italian in the German ” Fachpresse ” to be torn, but a silver car find I’m going to be a Lancia Thesis 2.0 Softturbo….., I know, you’re going to say a lot about it, but that can’t shock me as Lancisti, the Thesis is a damn good nice car. Since I wanted to keep my Kappa Coupe as a youngtimer and my wife doesn’t give her Lybra SW either, the Alfa 159 would be a little jump over to the Alfistis !! Ciao Fiorello

  • Accident at “right in front of left” Guilt question and recognition of guilt

Hello everybody, my wife happened a stupid accident today. She didn’t pay attention to it in a 30’s zone to the left… Actually the question of guilt should be clarified, but she didn’t drive into the cars coming from the right, but the car hit her in the back right (from half rear tires). Furthermore, the opponent managed to turn with a small Peugeot 107n heavy Alfa 156 by 180 degrees… What seems funny to me is this turn (to snatch it) ell was in a 30’s zone?) and the hit back right (lack of care when driving at “right in front of left”?). Ohso, something funny… Since the accident happened in the community, she immediately took her son who then took photos. My wife wanted to call the police, but then the son said that it only costs fines… An hour later the woman stood in the door and held a debt recognition in his hand… Well, I was there, of course, was not under Since it’s an older lady, I don’t want to think about a planned accident, but I know her and I know how she drives like that. Is the question whether it’s really 100% just our damage, or it’s a partial fault, because the damage to our Alfa is not insignificant and unfortunately we only have a partial cascade. Greeting, Sven

  • Power and temperature

Hello! My 2 L., 156 ́ Alfa Bj. 2000 somehow does not bring the full performance. This is already my 2nd and with the last I could drive on the highway (according to Tacho) 230 and up to 220 it actually went up quite quickly. The now, goes (according to Tacho) only up to 200 and has really to fight to get to that point. Moreover, it also does not get really warm, the temperature goes to 65° to a maximum of 75° (and only a short time then it comes down to 65°). It doesn’t get warmer on the highway for half an hour, but it’s about 65°. Could that have anything to do with the temperature? if not, what could it be then? that with the temperature I think of the thermostat, but does that solve the other problem? P.S. I now have 215/45 17 ́ tyres on the Alfa, with the other it was 205/15 65 ́s. Could it be that simply the speedometer due to the difference in size of the rims no longer vote mt? Thanks already in advance for any answer!!!

Hello Alfa driver, I am currently still in possession of a VW Jetta, but play with the thought to switch to the Ital. camp. I am very interested in a 156er 2.0 16v 155PS bj 1999 75tkm. Timing belts, tensioning roller, wapu, phase adjuster, brakes front discs and blocks, pollen filter, thermostat, oil/filter.. were freshly changed. What should I consider when buying, there are child diseases, vllt. especially with this model, etc. Thank you for your help! Greeting slate

  • Is the 159er a high quality car?

Hello, I draw in mention a 1.9 diesel 159er vehicle with approx. 100 thousand kilometers and a price of approx. 10 thousand euros to buy. What do I have to pay attention to when buying (sensible parts etc. pp.) ? Is the quality of the processing etc. comparable to a passat etc. ? What tips do you still have for me ? Greeting

  • Voltage fluctuations

Hello guys! I have a problem with my 156s again. And I noticed some time ago that my ventilation is always faster, sometimes slower (about 1 second faster, then 1 second slower, etc). This happens on all levels, including the car setting. I thought that it might be due to the control and did not do anything further. Basically it goes yes and if you drive faster you don’t hear it anymore. But now I did a few days ago. I noticed that the light emitting diode on my mobile phone charger (for the cigarette lighter) is getting brighter and darker at the same frequency. As a result, I even noticed when driving it. Especially when you are driving down a slope, where the car would also keep its speed uncoupled, you will notice that the engine in just this frequency gives a bit more and a bit less gas. This happens both in gas and in petrol operation. However, not yet seen, the light is always constant in my opinion, even the instrument lighting gets nothing of it. The voltage fluctuations sometimes disappear completely, so that the blower rotates at constant speed. Does any of you have an idea what that can be? A contact error could be the solution, but where do the 3 systems (ventilation, cigarette lighter AND motor control) run together in electricity technology without, for example, the light being affected? Terie as a buffer could be taken into consideration, also the mass connections on the body. But then everything that needs electricity would have to be affected… Maybe someone knows what to do with it… Thanks already Ventorener

  • 156 Gasoline vs. Diesel

Caio Alfisti! I plan to buy a car soon, and I love the 156. It looks really great! I’ve already looked at some data about the one and wanted to ask what it looks like in reality. First of all the taxes. That costs for the 1.6l petrol 108€ per year. However, with Autoscout it says that the in the city should consume 11.4l. That seems to me very much for a 1.6-er, troz the 120hp. How close is that to the truth? I mean a restrained way of driving, Then there is the 1.9 diesel: it costs 332€ tax. What about the consumption? At Autoscout it says that it swallows 7.8l in the city. Is that true? Is it true that with combined consumption (6l diesel ; 8.2l petrol) it makes almost no difference every year whether you drive a 1.6l petrol or 1.9l diesel.(14€) At 10tkm it looks better, the last 224€ Vo The 10tkm for me are more realistic. Thanks already for your help. Greetings, freak

  • Alfa as police car

Hello, just wanted to say that I saw police cars with the brand Alfa in Verona. And that surprised me very much because alfa is not really suitable as a police car. There are certainly criminals easier than other countries. Well, nobody wants to step too close.
