  • Information about Alfa GT 2,0 JTS

so people, it may be that I may soon have to buy another car. and if so, then it should finally become an alpha! in visier: alfa gt. I have the following questions/points, where I like to need infos or experiences: 1. base 156 or 147? 2. driving power 2.0 jts versus 1.9 jtd (0-100, topspeed) 3. consumption 2.0 jts versus 1.9 jtd 4. reliability. I suppose, timing belt is a topic like always (so change on time), but one hears again and again the “legendary” 2,0 ts (155ps) should be the least stable 2liter. how about 163ps jts. oh, the car: about 1 year old, 20tkm, black, leather beige otherwise I don’t know anything. look at the box at fr/sa and try it. thank you for your input in advance, harley13

  • Buying a car 147 or 156?

Hello, I have read a little bit in this forum but unfortunately I could not answer my questions quite clearly but you can certainly help me a little or advise me. I am now before the decision to buy a 147 or 156. The budget amounts from 8000 to a maximum of 11000 euros. At the moment I drive a Fiat Brava. I already have a more or less interesting approach over a 147 2.0 Selespeed with a few kilometers. Interesting for me are only The more powerful engines are the 2.0l with the 147er and the 156 of the 1.8 and the 2.0. What is the best choice in combination? And what interests me very much as it is with the Selespeed transmission. Is this a good or rather bad investment. How many kilometers an Alfa can have in your opinion maximum. Just write me what you think you would think and what you would decide on or how you would decide in my place. I for your help

  • Comparison test 159 2.4 JTD Autozeitung

The test of 159 2.4 JTD, 325d and A 4 2.7 TDI was particularly interesting for me. The Alfa is still my favorite. The result of the test was that the Alfa can’t nearly win a chapter. That didn’t surprise me very much and is not necessarily a negative indication. However, the test consumption of 10.8 liters diesel (about 3 more than the competition) of the 2.4 JTD surprised me negatively. The engine was also presented as unharmonious, since the torque is only there from 2000 rpm. There is practically nothing to do with it. Besides, the car was described as heavy and head-loaded. Well, we know that with the weight, but the engine was always praised. I have so far only driven the 159er than 1,9JTS and 1,9 JTD 16V. That means I can’t judge the 2,4er. After the test he would be a drunker with bad power output. What do you say about the test? r 2.4 JTD really so many weaknesses? Greeting, Sportiv

  • Serious increase in performance of petrol engines

Are there reputable companies that offer an increase in performance for GTAs?? With serious I mean, that the whole with dynamometer is e.g. verifiable. Does anyone have any idea what technical possibilities there are?? Or maybe someone already has personal experience with this? Incidentally, it is clear to me that an increase in petrol is difficult. And a new engine should not be because of the costs. Thanks for the information!!

  • Wheel bearing at Alfa 145/46 Normal ?

Have a 145 Ts. year 1998 and now the wheel bearings start to buzz at the rear and that at 150 Tkm. Normal ? Had the same problem with my predecessor a boxer at 130 TKM. With the Gol II my mother has 350 TKM and never has a wheel bearing been replaced. Is the quality so modest by Alfa ?? greetings

  • Newbie has fundamental questions about the 147 1.6 TwinSpark with 120 hp

Hello, as an Audi driver and fan I have been on unknown Alfa-Terrain since yesterday my girlfriend bought an Alfa 147 progression with 1.6 liter TwinSpark engine. The vehicle is EZ 4/03 and has a mileage of 69,000 km. The car is well maintained, 3 inspections have been carried out so far. 1. at 25.900 km (AlfaRomeo – dealer) 2. at 44.900 km (ATU) 3. one month ago at 67,000 km (ATU) Although the vehicle looks of course class, it will be r Elatively motionless used for the work path and should be above all reliable and poor at repairs. If now a few basic questions, which you might read for 1000 times but are nevertheless new for me and I would be grateful for any answer. – how robust are these 1.6 TS – engines? The car should run already a few years and also as many as possible (about 100,000 km). What is to be considered here in particular? In the cold state not to blow up is no problem, that we are vo m A3 1,9 TDi also not otherwise used…. – I have always used a partly synthetic 10W40 engine oil in all vehicles (currently ALPINE) and never had any problems. This can certainly also be used in this engine. Alternatively I have sometimes already used 5W40 oil. – The exhaust looks relatively taken away, is this normal? – for which expensive making is the vehicle still known, or what is generally to be considered so that one can take as long as possible F reude on 147 has I thank you again for the answers and consider – I am ignorant newcomer- Greeting

  • Long-term experience Spider 3.0 V6?

Moin together, my MX has been cold-deformed without fault and I’m now looking for a new, open 2-seater for all-year use. I’m just asking: does any of you have long-term experience with the 3L Spider? I’ve already found out that it’s not exactly economical, but how about reliability, part costs and spare parts procurement. How vulnerable is the machine, the gearbox and there are any neuralgic parts that quickly kaput times. I still have slight reservations about Alfa, e.g. I have experienced a motor-placer (60tkm) with a colleague.. Is it even recommended to buy a Spider with more than 100tkm, without big follow-up costs (not normal wear). I am grateful for Tip`s
