  • Alfa = Genial

Welcome to my midnight thread! Now I have to make my trouble air. Why does Alfa never say “these are the cars with the intelligent electronics and the many functions” but always the old clichés? I mean, the 147 of series start 12/2000 has 2-zones climate automation, Follow Me Home, windows lockable by key, automatic power consumers deactivation (radio, interior lighting, all lights), and and and and. I find this great, because ade because you can always be sure that the Alfa for me thinks that I’m going somewhere, pull the key off and go. No matter if the radio is still running, the light is on, the windows are down, the interior lighting is on “duration-on”, I don’t need to worry if I’ll get away the next morning or the battery is empty – because that’s what my Alfa does for me. Grad I come home again and everything is dark, a few times light hooves and – zack – my Alfa lights me safely home f or the next 3 minutes and I walk comfortably to the front door. practical, intelligent, why-has-that-not-everyone ??? oh Alfa, do eres mi amor (sorry can only Spanish *G*)

  • Used car test Alfa 156

Moin, in the new issue of the magazine “AutomobilTests” (issue no. 4/2005) will be presented under the heading used car special of the Alfa 156. Title: “Beautifully reliable”. They certify high reliability and only criticize the door seals, the cover of the safety box and adjusted headlights. Handbrake, wheel suspension and brake receive positive points. Quotation: “A well-kept used person causes little trouble in everyday life. … A three-year 2.0 won’t lose much more from the new price than an Audi A4 1.8T or BMW 320i.” …I always said, “It’s a good idea to take Italians with the competition in terms of quality, reliability and longevity.”

  • clapping noises

hi you, my problem is not new but is getting more and more on my nerves. out of my armature board come clapping noises that can be heard with the smallest shocks (even with tiny floor waves or when changing gear). the clapping comes from the area of the passenger airbag and sometimes also on my driver side with the same noise(!?).When it first occurred, I thought it would come from empty cd covers that would lie loose in any deposit. now will be you may say that it’s normal that it might be clapping here and there, but what can be so extremely loose behind the armature board that it’s clapping like that?? and as I said, sometimes it’s clapping at the same time with the same clapping on my side, how does it work? are there any plug connections loose? do you get there somehow to check it. first of all doesn’t want to screw around blindly. it’s really annoying, especially because you keep clapping at it. maybe someone knows what it looks like under the armature board and what the trigger could be. please one couple of tips thank you already mfg

  • What can be expected for about 12,000 euros?

Hello, I would like to spend about 12,000 euros on a used Alfa 156 diesel. Preferably as SW. What can I expect for this money? Year of construction? Engine (1.9 or 2.4)? Running performance? Equipment? Condition? I drive about 30,000 km per year, to 95% highway and the car should hold so about 4-5 years. My current car is a leasing vehicle and goes back to the dealer at the beginning of January 2006. With a mileage of 90,000 km over three years Leasing is unfortunately not so profitable anymore. Thanks for the information! Greetings Marco

  • 157’er with Opel engines!!!

Hi, I just read that the gasoline engines in 157 all come from GM.http://shortnews.stern.de/shownews.cfm?id=463629&news_archive=1 Why does Fiat no longer develop single-engine engines? Should one save at the wrong end???

  • Alfa 159 1.8 Does anyone know closer?

Tach sach gesacht, I find the new Alfa 159 really great, since it is still a bit expensive for me at the moment I think I could not hurt an entry-level motorization. It is supposed to come a 1.8, my dealer said. Do you know something closer, he also has gasoline direct injection, how much hp and he has chain drive for the camshafts? I assume that it is the engine from the Opel Vectra, am I right there? Closely are the platform and some gasolineers also modified from the Vectra ve Rbaut. Would be grateful for answers Greeting Alfitsch

  • 156, but WELCHER?

Hi You, I’m playing with the thought of maybe getting a used 156, but which one should you take! (1.6 , 1.8 , 2.0) Which one is the one you can most recommend, and which one holds the longest! What problems does it have/does such a thing? Have you heard that with ALFA often the electrics should spin and is just very unreliable! How much truth is there? What should one pay attention to when buying? Be happy about every answer!

  • Twin Spark ???

Hi, would you like to ask what Twin Spark really means? I was actually of the opinion that it is called double ignition in the sense of 2 candles per combustion chamber! But since yesterday I think rather that it means that 2 cylinders are lit at the same time (1st and 4th) (2nd and 3rd) Because I had only seen one candle per cylinder!

  • Question to Alfa fans

You’re looking for sportiness and driving dynamics. But why are you driving on these new front-wheelers? Would a Porsche fan buy a 911 front-wheel drive?
