A few days ago I bought a 156 and fulfilled a dream with it. However, this initial enthusiasm of some “macks” is properly clouded. It is clear to me that a used car can not have a condition like a new car, but I’m still angry about a few things: *The airbag lamp burns continuously. (Already been a problem during test drive, but with vehicle delivery everything is OK and according to the attached invoice also passed through checkt.) *Sometimes the bee does not accept the gas after a cold start and runs restless in the stand. (especially embarrassing when starting at the intersection…) *Oil loss Would be very happy about help! Thank you already in advance and everyone here a good slide into the year 2005!

I’m just thinking about bigger rims and there 17” are just one tick bigger I thought about 18”s. Are they going to go to the V6 with sports suspension? What do I have to do if necessary? How hard does the Alfa get? What kind of tyres do I need (225/?). Then the question: Do 225 tyres fit my 16” rim?

Tach too, need help!? wants to buy me nn GTV(110Kw) but still (before) know what it costs (insurance, tax, fuel and other costs that I have forgotten now) how is the car is man(n) so only inner werkatt or do you have his/her fun.!? there are many things on the car that you should look at very carefully before you buy in. e.g. rusts the one at certain places easily??? oh please too because cost calmly easily groan I computer prefer with higher (then there is no nasty surprise!!!) and if anyone else can say anything to the car can always use nice screaming;-) so beautiful thanks to your “Alfas”

Hello guys, I picked up my Alfa at the used car dealer 9 days ago. She is now almost five years old and has 98tkm down. I know about the whole problem with the timing belt. I already had an appointment to change for next week Monday and now the fucking thing rips me half a week before! My big fear is now that the engine has taken damage. He ripped right at the moment when I put her in the final position when I parked her. After that, I turned off the engine immediately, because at first I thought it was drunk. Only when I wanted to start again later I realized that nothing went more. ADAC called out, diagnosis:Zahntriebelriss, Abtraucher called and brought to the workshop. There she is now and no one knows if the engine has taken any damage. I had tried to start it a few more times before the ADAC came. What would you say now? Did the engine take any damage or not? I certainly don’t have any warranty claims against Alfa, do I? However, a mechanic in the workshop said that the timing belt is part of the engine management and thus falls under the warranty, which I don’t believe. I have an additional 2year warranty from the dealer, but it will hardly help me. Please help me.

Hello GTA – driver. I am currently looking around to get myself an 2003 Alfa 147 GTA. Although I have never driven Alfa, but find the GTA the absolutely most beautiful car in the compact class. The vehicles I have to look at besides the three years so about 30,000 to 60,000 km on the soles. Most of them are without Xenon and with the serial rims. Are there from your point of view a few important things where you should look when buying a used GTA to do no wrong ? I am vo n the Alfa quality convinced, my question rather aims in the direction of “see the pruning system in any case etc.” so there are certain places where a professional look would be helpful ? Thanks for your help for the time being.

Hi what do you have to pay attention to the Alfa 156 1.9 JTD Bj.:98 by reason of rust and so on. Would the car be ok for a novice driver? Or much more expensive by reason of tax gasoline etc. Thanks already for the answers. Greetings

My Alfa 164 2.0 TS has been sounding like a diesel engine for a week.This compulsive diesel noise comes most from the range – 1.cylinder, outlet camshaft. I checked valve play.The camshafts didn’t come in.Maybe the spring has declined. Does anyone know this problem?

Hello, I’ve already seen a lot of discussion about the different types of oil. So I would like to hear your opinion: I drive a 156 2.5 V6 with a mileage of 115,000. The last oil change is 15 Tkm and is now so slowly due again. 2 years ago my workshop Selenia 5W30 suggested to me what I have been driving since. Only it consumes so slowly a little bit of it (1/2L to 1000 km). What kind of oil would I use less of your opinion with?
