  • 145 or 156 ??

Hello, since my golf unfortunately makes me so slow, I thought about trying something different than VW. Can’t decide between the 145 and 156 unfortunately. From the course the 145 would be quite enough for me, however I wonder if I will be able to reach something more than 100 HP. What does your opinion mean for and what against the 145/156? Have read here already several times about torn timing belts with 156. What should I pay attention to when buying? Is there a special Bj. there should I avoid? Thank you very much.

  • Wrong fuel πŸ™

I have cleverly filled 2.5l Super in the 60l tank of my 156 SW JTD!!!. The petrol station Heinz explained to me that it doesn’t matter if you fill the tank with diesel. I did it and I drove 100 km without any problems. But now I am smarter and know that with newer turbo diesel no gasoline is tolerated at all – theoretically. How does it look practically, has anyone ever experienced something similar?

  • 147 Noise at cold start

Hello, I have an Alfa 147, Built 06.2001 (120hp gasoline) that sounds like a diesel for short periods of time at the cold start. Is that normal, is there any defect ??

  • Day-time running light

Moin together, so, I think seriously on ́nem new 159 around. Question: How can one realize with this vehicle a possibility to drive also during the day with light, without having to use the dipped light manually? Is this somehow programmable, or does someone know other alternatives? So things with economical LED ́s are generally not bad. Only: With the successful front to mount any additional lights, I would really not have a bug on it. Is probably also garkein place for before someone ideas, or experiences? Greetings Mark

  • Maintenance 2.5 and GTA

How much do you estimate the difference in the maintenance costs between nem 2.5 and nem GTA. Please only people who have driven both times. And to take some of the wind out of the sails: I don’t want to find out if I can afford the GTA, but if I want to GIVE it to myself. Are there actually wear parts (brakes, timing belts) much more expensive? Thank you

  • Timing belts torn

Hello! I’ve been looking for help or experience on this forum. I have the following problem, driving an Alfa 147, 1.6 16V, is now exactly 3 years and last week I ripped at about 75,200 km of the timing belt! The car has been standing since in the workshop (there I also bought it and regularly inspected it!) and I still have no information what is broken, what it costs and whether Alfa takes the damage or at least part of it. t. Maybe I can get some tips here… ???!!! Greetings and thanks

  • Brera Test in the Autozeitung of 8.2.2006

Today in the current car newspaper a comparison test between Brera 3.2, the Mazda RX8 and the Nissan 350 Z. I could only fly over the article so far, which I have seen so far, unfortunately the result is not particularly pleasing. So in this test he will cut the last and above all in the driving dynamics very bad off. Also in the consumption it is with over 15 liters (1 liter more than the Wankel Mazda!!) final light. Must read the article in the evening again in peace. Even if the points are not very large, the result for a new car, which is also seen a little as a symbol or at least as a highlight for the reorientation of Alfa, is sobering – very sad. Reinileini

  • Which feathers?????????

A friend of mine advised mi not to buy “no-name” feathers for shorter feathers. Which feathers are according to your opinion the cheapest and with regard to quality ok? Is Weitec ok? Or INXX? Thanks for your opinion.

  • Alfa 3l V6 Turbo…

Since Opel (with the new Vectra) and Saab just with relatively large volumes (2,8l) V6 turbo engines draw attention to itself and the engines exactly meet my taste, but not the car brands, the question arises for me about an alternative in the Alfa range (GTV, 156)… It should definitely be a six-cylinder with turbo charge (no compressor), but the 2l engine in the GTV/164/166 is too small for me (even against the 2l four-cylinders of Opel and VW/Audi d The alternative to retrofitting a 3l GTV or the 156er 2.5 V6 with turbocharger(s) has not been available for some time due to stricter exhaust gas regulations (-> Novitec). Generally, cars (any brand) with V6 turbomotors are quite rare to get; the more I was surprised by the new developments in the house Opel/Saab very positively. The sharpest thing I have ever driven (probe) was a Maserati Quattroporte Evo. with 3.2l V8 biturbo and well over 400 P S; in terms of acceleration and elasticity/transmittance is simply fabulous! A compressor comes due to its unspectacular characteristics (nothing can be done about the classic “turbo booms” πŸ˜‰ just as little in question as a vacuum conversion to a displacement-larger engine (bsw. 3,5l from Brohl or Schulze). Therefore, there are only two affordable and realistic possibilities (at the moment): a) Turbo conversion of a 3l 12V (spider) – offers e.g. the company AW-Delta at b) displacement-enlargement (drilling) e ines GTV 2l V6 TB on 3.0l… What would you favor under the aforementioned conditions (Alfa, V6 Turbo > 2l)?
