Hello guys. I’ve got an e46 318i with the m43 tu motor 118ps. The car has got a overhauled cylinder head. Everything perfect until then. Since then I have the problem that the car has times on the 1 cylinder ( ignition stop ) times on the 3 cylinder ( combustion stop ). I measured the compression all 14 bar. The seals from the injection nozzles replaced, because if one sprays on the first injection nozzles brake cleaner on it, the idle run has changed. After the exchange of the rings still so. Spark plugs are replaced. I ignition cables are in order. I also switched ignition boxes. Currently I have the problem that the on the 3 cylinder does not inject. I pull the plug from the said cylinder and it does not change anything. What can this be? On the cables is tension there. I also changed the nozzles across but that did not bring anything.

Question about TÜV
Hey people. So first of all excuse me, I’ve never had to register anything, so I really have 0 idea about it and it seems to me the whole extremely complicated. On my e46 coupe there are from the previous owner still breyton spirit 1 rims with front 8 1/2 J x18 H2 ET13 and rear 8 1/2 J x18 H2 ET38 (that’s what the TÜV report says). They have front and rear 225/40R18 matured on it with VMax of 240km/h. They were not registered by the previous owner, I saw in the operating instructions of the vehicle that the rim/tire combination is not in it either. So I guess they have to be registered, I guess? (I hope not) I don’t want to drive those anyway long as soon as I can get them and I have the money again, I get other rims. I have to get to TÜV now, however, this month, otherwise I will be expensive. I have a new ride from ST and track plates, which have to be registered both. And I ask myself if the original combination bikes can be registered again?

Is there a “vehicle identification department”? Inconsistencies Service History
Hello together, Does anyone know if there is a department at the manufacturer that can check to what extent a service history is correct? I am interested in a car that stands in France, but according to the vehicle history it is a huge mess where some German and French car dealerships are registered. The dealer assures me that the holder has never been in Germany and already knows that the service history is not correct in the system. Partially, three weeks after the last service in Germany, the car received a service in France with 30,000 km less on the clock. and then four months later, 10,000 km more than after the first entry in Germany. 06/06/2016 – 76,075km in Germany 28/06/2016 – 48,220km in France 18/10/2016 – 87,816km in Germany I had contacted a car dealer who is listed in the service history, who told me that he had conveyed the vehicle in the customer order 2023. However, the dealer in France says that this is not correct and the current holder drives the car for eight years. The dealer in FR as well as the last holder can not imagine that there has been a mistake, and it has been twice told me that Finn that it has to check out again.

Springs other than those installed in the parts report
Hello I had to say to myself when I bought my car from the previous owner that he installed a sports suspension and would be lowered. Now check more closely I saw that the number on the spring does not match the test report. After googling for an expert report for the springs I also came across an expert report, however, only for a Z4 and I drive an e46. So I wonder if I might still have to make it easier with the tüv or have to install new springs Can someone help me?

Total damage to engine during test drive of the workshop
I had recently noticed slight smoke in the engine of my BMW 640d, which was probably caused by diesel drops in the engine compartment. I then brought the vehicle to the workshop, where it was found that a valve cover seal is leaking and that possibly one or more injectors are leaking. Therefore, the engine was cleaned several times in the workshop according to telephone information and tested again and again. After the 5th test drive a loud clacker was also heard. This was not the case when driving to the workshop or before. According to the owner of the workshop suspicion of conrod bearing damage (also in the 1st calculation ) or injectors. I also listened to the clackering and ordered the workshop to look at the injectors. 2 days later, the owner of the workshop calls me and informs me that, despite the considerable engine noise, he has driven the vehicle again and that it has caused total damage to the engine, i.e. piston eater. However, he shows any blame for the engine damage, this would be my problem as a customer.

Can anyone tell me what kind of fluid this is and how I can get it away?
Hello, unfortunately, our lodger has left a very unsightly spot in the TG. Well, we can now go to the investigation which liquid this could be. Where the stain is to be seen, the engine is placed. I still sucked it up yesterday with kitchen roll. It looks greasy on the fingers, but smelled not really strong and certainly not to ÖL. The color is reddish and has now left a spot. It looks like a motor oil or the like. I wanted to try it today with Mellerud car oil remover. We unfortunately have to get the stain completely away, otherwise we have to pay a penalty at the delivery in January. and I really have zero bucks on it. What could it be and could Mellerud really help or is there still a housewife trick? Thank you.

What about BMW Alpina from 2025/26?
Has any of you heard rumors about what BMW plans to do with the Alpina brand from 2025/26, which will then be theirs? According to my dealer, BMW has not yet communicated anything about this. He suspects that BMW will install the M-drives in a slightly more elegant car series with a more subtle look. That was just a guess, but a suggestive one, as I think. What do you know or think? For which series will BMW use the Alpina brand? As before from the 3 Series upwards or rather analog to Mercedes-Maybach? Or at the end even as with Audi-Horch only as a variant of equipment for China only?

NEW Good Cheap Flasher OBD/Software Flasher
Hello, I know before now Shitstorm comes or other things…… The last post has been a long time since 2018 and we have already 2025 …… I’m looking like the name says a good Flasher that has access to both the new cars and old cars. It’s not meant to be a commercial one, it’s not called a thousand Euro Flasher, but for the time and again if you want to code/change something. The Flasher should be able to handle all the brands as well as old/new cars and give full access. It can also be a Kess V2 clone, I had heard that the one from Russia should be the best. Now I ask people who know a little bit about it here as well. My goal is to read out the engine control unit to make e.g. games such as AGR OFF , Drall flaps OFF and tell the engine control unit. To put on a Stage 1 , optimize fuel consumption etc. The best is a Flasher for BMW/FORD/Audi/ Mercedes. I would be grateful for every help.
