  • To Saab or not to Saab… ?

    Hi, I’ve got pretty much everything in this forum about the 93 station wagon. Nevertheless, I need a piece of advice. I drive a lot of city and short distance, 70%, so far I have a Lancia Lybra with the 2.4Jtd. I wanted to switch to a petroler at Saab (150 HP plus Hirsch Step1), because the petrolers usually can do this better than the diesel. Now I have read the problem with the gasoline engines. Does this still concern the current series ? If yes, then would The Fiat diesels are really first cream and I don’t want to go to the workshop with the Saab many times, I prefer to trust the proven Italians. And if I’m already there a question… is the snoring really such a problem with the 93 ??? My Lancia has 90000 down and is 5 years old, but there is only the leather ;-). Thanks to you for your help. Bye Newbie

  • “Loss” front spoiler at 250km/h – STEP2

    At 250 km/h, the middle anchorages of the front spoiler have dissolved. Luckily, I kept the speed short, so that the rest of the anchorages have kept the spoiler. Don’t think about it if the spoiler had completely said goodbye…. My Saab workshop is perplexed, even HIRSCH did not know a solution today. Supposedly an individual case….always the same excuse (as with the faded door handles). 1. The problem wur 2. How has the problem been solved? In my case, the spoiler should now be glued to the bumper with a front disc glue. Udo

  • Exchange of experience 9.3 – 1.9 TiD – MY05

    I’ve had my Tid for about 5 months now and I’m already very satisfied (see also my various contributions). Somehow, however, some problems with a car of this price range are annoying me. Since I bought a new car for the first time after 9 years, I’m sometimes also a little uncertain if I’m not a little oversensitive in some points. Here’s the “muggles”: – door seals are occasionally released from the versions – Navi is sometimes out (Black Screen ) – Numbers of pages in the manual do not match the table of contents – Tacho instrument has failed (was then exchanged) – Locking rear seat snaps in hard. – Suitcase cover scratches on the holder of the trunk cover. – Occasional wind noises from 160 km/h at the driver’s door – Leather covers dent out and crackle – Cold gear scratches in 2nd and 3rd gear (oil change has done nothing, problem is now improving so slowly by itself) – Door interior dress n are extremely sensitive to pressure and scratch. The plastic cover has fast permanent spots. I would therefore be happy if some people would get feedback (e.g. problem also known, problem is not – is normal, problem fixed, reaction of the workshop etc.).

  • Question 1: Oil change at 9.3

    Greetings, dear Swedes, a question: my Saab (9.3 Aero Cabrio with Hirsch Step 1, lots of city traffic and short distances) has about 22,000 km down after one and a half years. Last autumn the inspection light lit up for a time – km stand about 17,000. Now someone has told me that this happened because the car needs an oil change. Is that true? PS.: The lamp has not been shining for a long time – if someone wants to ask about it. G Ruß OLLI

  • 1.inspection

    ok, similar topic was already there, but still open a new thread, if it is dead can still be moved from the moderater now to my lying: my first (30k) inspection is on and a few things are on my heart. so I wanted to do a complete envelope here in the forum and explore whether one or the other of you has something to do with it… 1. my saab emblem on the steering wheel has got a fine crack at the bottom edge. it looks like there would be clear varnish there. Is it really only a clear varnish, or will the grip also be covered with peels (in the lower area, where the crack is, is bursting metal)? if the latter, is the fatal… now I have read that this emblem is firmly connected to the airbag – so the question arises: is a barely visible crack in the emblem a sufficient reason to change the whole airbag in the context of the guarantee? therefore would I be interested if anyone knows this problem and mi r can say if only the clear varnish is peeling off (with which I could live) or if I have to expect that gradually the whole grasp will be loosed (then I would try to get a new airbag) 2. I think the track is distorted and wanted to have it checked and adjusted if necessary. guarantee? ok, probably not, but questions (me here in the forum hoechttens den call) nothing… 3. the audio area of the sid display flickers sometimes (before it goes out completely). an-a Every now and then the infotainment switches off for half a second and then goes on again. also it happened to me that the whole infotainment went out (and stayed out) after an ausweichmanoever. wobble contact? ideas? 4. parking help only works in about 50% of all flaws. partly error message: parking help defective, havel search, partly no message, but also no “park help active”, no page. ideas? 5.th thanks

  • Spring feeling – time to change -> MY07

    Hello everybody, there is a change of vehicle in the house again. This time it should become a Saab, in order to finally escape the uniform porridge on our roads 😉 Question into the competent round: When does Saab have his MY change from 06 to 07 ? And maybe also someone already has information about possible changes (equipment, colors, technical modifications, …). Background is clearly the optimal time of purchase of a new car: Order now or better wait until MY 07. Suggestions on your part I would be very happy, many greetings Tobias

  • Repurchase discounts

    After a few years my father is very satisfied with the 9-3 loweregs, I buy myself a Saab and don’t poke it up like the Corsa up to the wink. However, I want it already quite fully equipped. The only thing that is not in it is the sliding roof. Since I am over 195cm tall, it sits better without the sliding roof. Since the Saab dealer here is a friend of the family, I didn’t need to discuss for long. Instead of the almost 40,000€ there are only 33 .500€ That’s a pretty good price, isn’t it? Maybe someone still has a suitable EU offer. I don’t have much hope about it. The dealer grinned and said, if one can make it cheaper, that’s a sensation. Ok, it’s 16%, so sensation is something else, if someone just knows what I’ll be glad if someone can write something to me. And I won’t be able to do it. Is there someone driving with the KW coilover? If so how does it go. d is there any brand like Remus offering an ESD for the 1.9 CDTI?

  • annoying AUX connection

    I’ve had the drive+play installed in my SC by harman/kardon, because Saab himself doesn’t come into trouble as far as ipod integration is concerned. Works perfectly, except for an annoying little thing. Every time I pull the key, the audio system jumps back to radio after starting and I have to switch back manually via CD to AUX. On CD, it will then hang for five seconds before he realizes that there is no CD in it and then leaves me only further after A Switching UX. And that’s annoying, especially on Saturdays when shopping or other frequent boarding and disembarking. When I play a CD, the AS remembers that and is back on CD after switching on. Therefore my question to community: Can you set the AS that when it is turned on again, is back on AUX, when it was there when it turned off?????? User manual is not available here and also my dealer was at a loss. Has there been any experience here???
