I have been driving a Saab 93 MY 07 SC 1.9 TiD with sports suspension for 8 months now. After 14 000 km it starts: vibrations in the driver’s door, crackling in the driver’s seat, flapping noise in the dashboard … How do you deal with it?

Volvo V40D or Saab 9-3 2.2 TID
I have a Volvo V40 D , EZ 10/2004 with 116 Ps and 167,000 Km. Interested however for a Saab 9-3 2.2 tid .Bin with the Volvo actually satisfied , have it since June 2009 (ca. 1000000 Km ) no repair etc. Motor-wise it is also quite good but since I am interested for a Saab 9-3 2.2 tid I have concerns about the then expensive repairs that I do not know so eigenlich. With us near also no Saabwerkstatt and yet I would like such a car. a Saab 9-3 2.2 TID Linear EZ 08/2003 with 153000 Km , complete check booklet file at SAAB-SERVICE , thought . What about it ? Go this step or rather stay with the V40? As I said it is only about the risk with constantly occurring repairs (I like the car very well) what you read here some times or do I just see it too black?

Why doesn’t he start?
The other night it was cold…-17°. In the morning at 7.30 am I want to go. The thing doesn’t start. The battery spins well through but no noise which sounded like fuel ignition or something like that. After three attempts I gave up. I told myself, …well, I drive just tomorrow…… The next day around the same time it was about -5°. The car jumped and I started but check engine lit up and didn’t go out even after 5 km. So I called the workshop from the car and asked t what I should do?. But they answered quite coolly, …..the lamp will go out again drive again a little…… So after 20 km the lamp was off and I thought….specialist is just professional…they saved me the ride into the workshop. Today I want to go again. Tomorrow -12°. The thing goes well, does not jump again. Obviously the supply of this does not work. What can it be? What should I do? The car is a Saab 9-3 tid Built 2005. In the The first battery…but that can’t really be true? Now you have a Swedes car, but thinks it’s hardy …….. Isenhagen

Traction 2.8 V6
Hello! My Anniversary is to be exchanged soon. After sporadic search, also with other manufacturers, I have arrived at the 9-3 again… After I have read a lot now, I rather favor the 2.8 V6. What prepares me with a little “care” is the topic traction. In the contributions about the V6 actually never great the topic, and yet I am a bit skeptical… my current Anniversary (9-3-I) has already with its verglichmen 150hp at How do the 256hp drive on the front axle? Is the XWD worth the extra price? Testing is unfortunately not so easy spontaneously, since no dealer in the vicinity <200km offers such a vehicle A few infos about this would be helpful. It greets _audax_

Warranty extension still valid?
Hello to the Saab municipality, have bought a Saab from 2008 with valid warranty until 8/2010. My question to the connoisseurs: Is the free Saab warranty extension to three years with which 2008 was advertised still valid, respectively current? Here the original press release of 2008:http://www.presseportal.de/pm/40841/1119052/saab_deutschland_gmbh Thank you very much for the answers.

Active Saabgemeinde?!?
Unfortunately, I have to admit that three months ago I separated from my Saab Cab and bought a 3 cup Cab, but nevertheless I am still interested in Saab in my heart. I notice, however, that there are no more big activities to be recorded here What’s going on? Here there were always very high-level discussions at a high technical level.

Service intervals & Co at 9-3
Hello together, since my better half and I plan to “extend” our togetherness in the near future is also about short or long the purchase of a somewhat more spacious and above all 4-door car. Basically I am very satisfied with my Golf V Gti, the big problem on the matter are the two doors, the absolutely arrogant workshops with their imaginable employees AND that I just really like Saab because these cars just don’t find everywhere s ind and also visually my taste fully meet. Well, I was already on the road in the Volvo Forum, but the engines between 150 and 200 Ps didn’t really convince me. My question: What about the service intervals for the 2.0 turbo models (210Ps or 175Ps (in Austria) or the 1.8t (150PS)? Does the oil have to be changed every year or is there a kind of “longlife service” like with the VAG models? Are the current models still experiencing problems with sludgeing the oil, etc. on? At what time is an oil change required for the automatic transmissions? Are these three motors equipped with timing belts or chain, if the former, which alternating intervals are provided for? In which consumption regions do the three mentioned motors move? Does one playfully indicate the consumption values Saab or is this an absolutely impossible scenario? Does anyone know when the “new” 9-3 should see the light of the world? First of all, many thanks for the information, a curious he “GTI”Chris P.S.: the diesel engines are out of the question for me.

Wood in 9-3
Hello together, I saw today a 9-3ss Aero with wooden package in the interior. Strangely, I found that the wood around the shift knob was probably poplar wood (brown) while the wooden steering wheel shimmered clearly reddish brown. Were there 2 different wood types installed or shimmers the poplar wood reddish in the sun. The reddish brown I liked quite well, however, then I would like to have a uniform wood color! How much would a wooden package (Lenkrad console around circuit, … probably Zube until recently there was the design package Classic for 150 Euro (Cabrio), which I would have ordered, but unfortunately not anymore. The steering wheel stands with about 500 Euro in the price list. Many regards Celeste

Seats
Hello guys, can you lift the seats in the front, like with 9-5? I like the seats of my old 9-5 BJ99 really good. They actually show no real wear (just a few damages of jeans rivets etc.) Now I have sat in the 9-3 (because soon a new – of course Saab – must be here). But the seats and the dashboard did not like at all. How can I see with the durability and the “long distance comfort” of r Sitting out? Thank you for your information Manfred
