  • Headlight cleaning system drips on headlight

Hello together My 2006 Saab 9-3 SportCombi got two new Xenon headlights and since then leaks out of the cleaning nozzle on the right headlights while driving out water without the system being operated. Shortly afterwards the system failed. The nozzles on the bonnet partly failed and the water pressed out under the insulation mat. All valves were replaced and still water comes out of the headlight nozzle. Someone an idea? Pump’s new, too.

  • 9-3 Bj 2010: Key remote control only serves the driver’s door

Love All the following problem: I changed the battery for the remote control for the doors, pressed the door opener button five times for new learning, but now only the driver’s door is locked, the other doors remain unlocked. Does any of you know a solution? Greetings from Salzburg Harald

  • occasional failure of the ZV remote control

Since I have my 9-3 ARC (11.03), the remote control for the ZV has occasionally denied its service. Has happened about 5 times since then. Then always had to lock the door with the emergency key and after activated ignition everything worked perfectly again. However, the problem occurred for the first time when locking off. I just put the key here again in the ignition lock and afterwards everything worked. I now suspect that it might be because of it. nnnt, how to pull the key out of the ignition lock (???). Do you know similar problems? Otherwise I will have it checked in the workshop. But with such sporadically occurring errors this is probably completely for nothing if the problem does not happen by chance there. Greetings Ded

  • partially dismantle radiator grill (9-3 convertible)

Moin, I want, or don’t have to open the bonnet anymore, remove parts from the radiator grill. It’s the two small parts next to the central grill. I started a photo of it. On a video I saw that these parts are to be dismantled from the outside. Should only be clicked. Can you give me tips, how I can dismantle the parts “damage-free” and would be nice also a tip, with which tool. Also with PN, if here in the forum too “dangerous” for use by Langfinger 🙂 I am looking forward to a lively participation. Greeting Ronald

  • Saab fabric leather combination leather is only plastic !!!

Hello, I am proud owner of a new Saab Cabrios. Unfortunately, I had to find out that the chosen fabric leather combination consists only of fabric and artificial leather (plastic). Since this is not my first convertible, the combination seemed very useful to me. Unfortunately, one sweats on the plastic seats at higher temperatures very much. Since in all the information of Saab is always talking about fabric leather, and I bought the car in the belief also, I am very angry. In addition, that I have not received a statement from Saab Germany for two months. Am I the only one who is upset about the facts??? – it is simply a fraud. A diamond must not be made of rock crystal…. Is there anyone who has already complained against such machinations – or has found a friendly solution? The owners of leather seats should also feel the same way – here too the seat consists of large parts of plastic (here will be but in the asterisk text a restriction made somewhat klausellet – which is also not so correct) Greeting KF

  • Servo line 12767437 not to be found.

Hello everyone, I recently burst the return line of the power steering with my 9-3. I expanded the line and wanted to buy a new line because of the strong corrosion. As it turned out, however, this is not so easy, because this line is unfortunately sold out everywhere and no longer available. I already got in touch with some butchers, unfortunately so far without success. I have the line already to the inst Now my questions: – do the servo lines from other 9-3s perhaps fit? The XWD variant is apparently different and also the lines of the other engine versions seem at least according to the pictures I find not to be the same. I found one for right-hand handlebars in Australia after all, but you won’t be able to just bend around or??? – there are alternative parts from other manufacturers. Is there a “powersteering delete kit” or at least a shorter belt so that the servo pump is no longer driven? Would nevertheless be a temporary solution. – maybe someone else has such a cable lying around or knows someone who is repairing something? If someone still has suggestions or ideas please report, I am now open to everything. • Plastic part of the crankcase venting dropped into the valve lid

Hello dear Motor Talk Community, two days ago I had a heavy power loss when overtaking and then got the error message Reduced power. I then looked at all plugs, cables and hoses and found that the plastic cable of the crankcases has turned venting from the valve cover to the turbo itself. The car drives without problems, has no restless running and the power loss is somehow not always The error message in turn is constant. I then pulled out the valve in the valve cover and saw that the two noses on the valve have broken off. Now my question: I would like to get out the two holdas of the valve so that they don’t cause any damage anywhere. I have never removed the valve cover yet but on pictures is under the hole where the valve is inserted into a plate. The plate does not look screwed and is in part efilm is not displayed as its own component either. Can you take off the record without completely bending it? I added a few pictures. Thank you for all the feedback and information.

  • Winter suitability

Moin moin… After the snow chaos I would like to note a couple of advantages and disadvantages of the Saab in terms of winter suitability: Advantages : – equipped with stand- & seat heating very comfortable – safe driving behaviour when equipped with winter tires – windows fogged hardly—-good ventilation – good illumination of the roads in general – generally good traction – balanced….breaks not fast – Innerholm does not spoil by double seals Disadvantages: – absolutely sensitive Fron tscheibe ( small stone blows by road salt ?!?!!) – sensitive electronics ( failure of the actuator for air valve ( for the second time !!! ), windscreen wash nozzle heater failed , – rapper, flapper, Schepper ( more I don’t have to say ) – gear gear gear worse switchable Does anyone have similar experiences to report ?? Greetings Swedishmoose

  • the damn AGR valve already broken again

My Saab 1.9 TID 9-3, built in 2005…117000 Tkm, 2 years ago to have new AGR valve installed, 4 months ago to have new AGR valve installed, yesterday on the Metz-Berlin route…the power drops… then leaves more after …the engine control lights up ….. I already know, drive to the next parking lot, call the ADAC…he is very fast there…I say what’s going on….he reads the error….but can only determine the error number and not describe text daz u (his software only lasts up to the 2.2 diesel engine)…..then he takes his hammer…happens a little bit on the valve…deletes the error and we make a small test drive…..Check engine is off, engine runs and pulls as it should….I drove through the remaining 300 km well. But what now? Is the fucking valve already ready for change? Isn’t there a better solution than to call the ADAC because of a few hammer strokes? Can one possibly call such an AGR valve than Put the spare part in the car and when Check Engine lights up is changed quickly and continues. At home you can let the thing pass through the washing machine (of course wrapped in a bag) you have a clean spare valve again. Or does the self-installation of the carried AGR valve do nothing because you can not access the software to delete the error memory ? MfG Isenhagen

  • Engine off – does not start anymore

Hello, I stayed yesterday with my Saab 9-3 Aero MY03. Vehicle just went off during the ride – no inspection, no error medication, nothing at all. Luckily, I only drove about 20 km/h at the time…not even thinking what could have happened on the highway… I then tried to restart the car, but didn’t go any more. From time to time he once again took one to two seconds and then he went out again. Benin was still a good quarter full. Today it went then ga r no more. Then only with tow truck went to the workshop. Does anyone have an idea??? Many greetings bcn31
