This week, with a new (600km on the speedometer) 9-3 1.9 Tdi with Sentronic in the middle of the road, the following happened to me: Without any warning, the engine and all the lights and systems run out. As if someone had taken off the plug. Fortunately, this happened on a little busy side road. Don’t think about what could happen with a overtaking manoeuvre or on the highway. According to my garage, this could happen occasionally. Ch2 rebooting one or the other control unit and then the box is running again. I didn’t think I heard it right. This car is life-threatening. The funny thing about it. It was a replacement car because my 9-3 Aero Cabriolet has been in the workshop for three weeks with mechanical and electronic problems. The car is now 19 months old and was already over 10 times with similar problems in the garage. It would be such a great car but for me this is probably the topic Saab is done. I don’t like to tell you about the communication skills of the Saab leaders. It’s just a tragedy. If only I had kept the old 9-3 convertible…… An extremely disappointed (yet) Saab enthusiast.

Finishing quality
Hello together, what do the uni colors look like at the convertible? Should one necessarily take a metallic paint or are the others ok, in terms of quality etc… Background of my question. After a long consideration I decided to stay black riders. What does the new Jetblack look like? Greetings, Frank

6 gear circuit 93 Aero Cabrio
Drive a 93 Aero Cabrio with 6 gears circuit for about 14 days. From the beginning, the 2nd gears were difficult to install. In the warm operating conditions, switching became easier. After motorway operation flawless. However, in the morning, when the engine is cold, the 2nd gears are annoying. Does anyone have similar problems? Or was this solved by a corresponding grated oil (viscosity)? Are gear oil additives recommended here? For a short information I am grateful.

Plant specifications for the new 2.8
until my visit to the IAA, I had actually shot myself at the opera signum with 2.8 liter turbo, but unfortunately the quality in the interior didn’t convince me at all. for this, the new saab has stabbed me into the eye and I got a little bit more information… a question about the factory details still remains: in the opera vectra opc is obviously the same engine in it, how come there, at least according to the specialist press, 260 km/h peak and at the saab significantly less? is d What experiences did you have with your saab minus rattle noises after a few years??? the bugs of my BMW 330 (E46). Is Saab better, even worse??? Think of the Saab Kombi as a real alternative to the 330 D touring. The 3 litre petrol truck from BMW has just too little pull for me, the Saab should go really well in the opposite. Are there experiences???? Thank you for the answers!

Service campaign 9-3 Convertible
Yesterday, my friendly SAAB dealer sent me a letter saying, among other things, that Saab decided to carry out a service battle for certain vehicles of the model 9-3 Convertible of the model years 2004 to 2005 in order to carry out various measures to improve the quality of the operation and function of the cover system. … Please make an appointment with us at the next possible time, in order to make the planned and for you of course free quality assurance Depending on which measures are to be taken on your vehicle, the required time will be about 0.5 to 4 hours. … Has anyone else received such a letter? Who knows more about this action? So far, I have noticed nothing negative about the operation and function of my cover, so I am surprised… Greeting Jürgen

Still a question about the different phones
Because I’m already so nice to research and have received good answers to my seat threat: There is a 9-3 option to order an integrated phone, or to attach the phone to the center console afterwards. With my last two Saabs I had that, was actually enough and had the advantage that I didn’t always have to turn off the phone and even got it loaded. I also don’t necessarily need voice control etc. The question is now r (and my dealer can’t answer this satisfactorily): is this subsequent installation with the new 9-3 what? Is the phone also controllable via the buttons of the “big” Navi, which I also want to do? Can one take calls then possibly also via the steering wheel? Or is such a constellation rather gifted and actually Murks? Unfortunately there is no equipment package, which my preferences 100%-y. Thanks to unbd greetings from the Pott, jogg

What equipment at the Cabrio
Since we want to buy a new Saab convertible, I have a few questions about individual features, since we come new to the league of the Saab or the convertible drivers: Planned is a 1.8 Vector (since we need the vehicle rather for shorter distances and have the Volvo V70R to the lawn, and highly motorized front-wheelers do not lie down to me) Which sound system makes sense, since the acoustics in Cabrio is probably not comparable to a closed car? Do the returners make sense? W it is still indispensable, e.g. does it need a wind bulkhead?

Buy Saab 9-3 1.8 Arc or Vectra-C 1.8 Cosmo?
Hello, my Opel dealer has offered me today a new Vectra-C Lim (Cosmo) 1.8l 125 hp and as an alternative a Saab 9-3 Lim version (Arc) 1.8l 122 hp. Both vehicles are built on the same platform, the dealer’s estate is identical whether Opel or Saab, in the final sum both do not differ. Also from the service costs there are no significant differences, the intervals are the same, also price differences in spare parts and work specifications there are. Dealers do not really – you notice very quickly – the two models differ only by the body and a different logo. The Saab seems slightly fresher from the styling, and has three years warranty (that’s new) – the Opel only two. It is probably more a “abnormal feeling”, because really decisive reasons for a model have not been discovered, or is there any one that I currently don’t think of? What reasons speak pro or contra Opel or Saab?
