Hello! Yesterday evening we picked up the new 9.3 cabrio at the in Berlin. 2.0T VECTOR with 210 HP in Steelgrey with grey leather equipment and everything you need (except for the fixed telephone installation, I only had bad experiences in 2 Volvo XC90!). We chose the Vector because the AERO is only available with “war painting” (spoiler etc) and that is not our taste. This morning I sat in it for half an hour and made the basic settings…some I find things funny (customizing), others rather in need of getting used to (change of the rain sensor only over menu and not at the lever!)…but he has only 17 km down and you will get used to (hopefully lovable) characteristics. At least I find him optically very successful…beautiful car, my wife is happy (she “must” drive a BMW 330Ci convertible for 3 years with M-tech chassis and corresponding hard rolling off ). If in the course of the next time questions arise, may I wish all SAAB friends a nice WE!! Greetings Michael

Purchase advice Saab Cabrio
Hello Saab experts, would like to buy me a Saab convertible as a Daily Rocker. Unfortunately I have absolutely no experience with this brand. Here are a few questions: Which BJ is recommended? Automatic or circuit? Petrol or diesel? Are there typical vulnerabilities to which you have to pay attention? Spare parts supply? I found some in the net with Hirsch Tuning. Is this serious and recommended? To me the 150hp models seem a little undermotorized for such a heavy car Thank you Peter

Selling or repairing: 3.500 Eur Repair invest in 2006 sports combo?
Dear friends, I need your help. Yesterday our family carriage to the intermediate service brought to our Munich SAAB-Bauer-Werkstatt and good things went to work. Should soon go with the children on holiday. Then the call: “We found a few unpleasant things here”. Here the list (good that I already sat): I got the Saab right back, that would have killed our entire savings (and the holiday anyway). Now to my question. e to you: how would you proceed? The Saab is as good as sheckheftgepflegt, bought it here in Munich from Saab Bauer himself (used) and always let it wait there. Lack of budget (see above) we can not have it repaired at this price. Are there lovers of this model series, who would also buy a Saab, which is ready to drive but to be repaired? Saab himself does not buy it from us or sells it on behalf of us … We are really desperate! Thanks and hoping for a good exchange! Basti with family

DPF
Hello municipality, astoundingly or fortunately, my Saab survived the km-stand of 200t to 300t without any unscheduled repairs. Now the fault memory with diesel particle filter is added. Doesn’t matter, so I thought I had this a few years ago by a stupidity: There I tried out an intermediate plug-chip tune part. The effect was there, more power and almost a liter less consumption. But after 2t km engine emergency program because of clogged DP F. At that time I found a capable free workshop in Bochum, which burned me free by means of a kind of computer, just by a corresponding control the filter. After 20 min the spook was over and I had rest for the next3 years. Now again in a workshop, this time in the Rhineland, one would never want to have heard of the free burning program. I should drive with additive, which lowers the soot burning temperature, at high speed 60km, if unsuccessfully then expansion and this too What is your opinion, should I look for a workshop that knows the free-burning program or have the part cleaned? Now another Saab?
Hello, dear Saab-ians, the question is justified, because after eight years of saab abstinence in which I drove Rover 75 (a single catastrophe), Lexus GS 300 (best car I ever had) and Mercedes S 320 (very nice car, unfortunately only a bit aged), after my S-Class there is now probably a “downsizing”. Just out of reason and not out of financial aspects. I drove six Saab and from a GL 900 up to a 9000 2.3 Turbo was almost I have always felt very comfortable in my Saab’s and was always satisfied with the comfort and engine performance offered. Now, according to a seventh Saab, my aged S-Class should be replaced. There is a 2 Ltr. Turbo Aero with 209 hp. Is there any experience with this engine? Is the motorization recommended and enough to go ahead or is it more a sporty engine? Are there any problems with rust? (I actually have no problems with rust). (e had) Oh yes, my last Saab was a 900 II with 136 hp, which at 242,000 km is simply “dead” to me. Capital engine damage without any kind of warning….. Happy to hear from you!

SAAB Cabrio – Delivery problems or dealer’s trick??
Hello SAAB-Gemeinde! On 07.11. we ordered a Saab Cabrio 2.0Turbo from a big Berlin SAAB dealer with the delivery specification and -zusage 6.January (there goes the 330Ci-Cabrio back to BMW). When ordering the order was “no problem…it even comes earlier… but we should only allow it after 1 January, because it looks better in the papers!” was the O-tone of the dealer. In case of some inquiries about the exact delivery week (seller had promised, the day after the B The saleswoman who represented him said, “She couldn’t imagine a delivery at the beginning of January…” Now the seller is calling me (back from the holiday long ago) and is telling me what “unforeseeable production break” for the Cabrios…this applies to all the Cabrios…the tapes have been standing still for a week and for the next week ..!! Delivery date can probably end January…” exactly where che” he wants to give me tomorrow…but we already had that!! For me Christmas holidays are completely understandable, but the seller was completely surprised…that never happened at Saab etc… Question: is the just brazen and verar***t his ordering customers, or is there at Saab (must be Austria?) really “first time and surprising” a convertible production break??? After all, the delivery would be delayed by almost 4 weeks…. btw: we had this V at the beginning of 2005… buyer/dealer already announced that after the end of the BMW lease we want a SAAB convertible again…and leave it to him when we have to order this to get it on time..even a few times during the course of the summer… Did I just get a bad SAAB dealer or did something really surprising happen??? Does anyone know what?? Thanks for a few enlightening words Gruss Michael

Got my 9-3 SC now
Today I was allowed to accept my new 9-3 SC with a brain-stricken soldering machine in sapphire blue metallic. Was really skeptical whether the color in the original looks just as good as in brochures. It comes over live even better, whereby the light incident plays a big role here. At the weekend take a few pictures in daylight and put them in here. Especially the cockpit should be interesting for a few, because I enjoyed the aluminum cladding of MSD and that looks The winter bikes added for early orderers are probably 17″ aluminums of the type Nail (at least they are very similar to these very much) with 225/45 Conti Wintercontact on it. Look even better like the Double Evo with the summer flaps. Achja and the driving is a dream. ” Still” crunches or squeakes nothing (or other unwanted noises), the sports suspension still has enough comfort. How sporty it is however, I wanted don’t test the road conditions today. On Saturday comes the first hard test. It goes to skiing in the Ötztal

1.9 TiD doesn’t want to fill up!
The tap closes, as if the tank was already full. when I pull out the trunk, then the diesel sprays against me with quite high pressure (the smell hardly gets rid of it again). you have the feeling, in the tank there is a big overpressure. with a little fingertips you can then fill in a liter again until the whole again blocked. for me this has happened already 2 times in a row at two different filling points. e n defect of the pumps can therefore be excluded. what can this be? can you somehow vent the tank myself? because I have to leave tomorrow and the workshop has logically only opened again on Tuesday.

Now I’ve got the new SC too…
Servus, now I’ve had it for a week…the sport combi…in steel grey and as 2.0T with step 1 on 230 hp. After I drove a 9-3 saloon with 2.2 TiD (year 03), I can only say: awesome! Go like Schmitz cat, not crackling or crackling, the color fits very well to the discreet appearance and the 17″ winter alus donated by Saab also very well. To the equipment: I wanted a real “sport” combi, therefore the motorization, as Vector with sports suspension with a ll possible packages (including large infotainment), xenon, sunroof etc. and 5-speed manual transmissions. So far (1000 km) I can only write a Saab advertising text because everything is tip-top. And opposite the same a world difference. Let’s see what else comes to me…I’ll keep you up to date and tell you what kind of shit the same thing had. Greetings Joe

Convertible Vector 2.0 T ordered
Hello Saab-Gemeinde, wanted to threaten here already, that from January 2006 I probably often look in here and certainly also have the one or other question. Yesterday ordered: Saab Cabrio 2.0 T, 210 PS, Steelgrey, Automatic and all sensible schnickischnackis. After best experiences with the predecessor convertible my loved one after three years BMW 330Ci-Cabrio finally wanted a Saab again! And because her the M-330 was “too deep, too hard and too fast”, the choice also did not fall on the AERO, but rather the more civilian Vector. On January 3rd it is to be delivered…. I wish you another day! Greetings Michael
