Hello, I’m thinking if I should buy a Saab 9-5 2,3t se limousine. The car has almost 100,000km on the hump and is from 10/97. It is a checkbook and first-hand. It is offered by a Saab dealer. What do I need to know before buying it? Drive almost only in the city. Is the car worth it or do I have an engine damage? Thank you very much.

Price comparison Oil change
Hello Together, after mature reflections – not least through the contributions here in the forum – I decided to put the oil exchange interval down on 10.000km on my own => I am traveling with a 2,3t which currently has about 15,400km on the clock => Saabinchen may forgive me the first longer interval 😉 Where do you have to carry out your oil change – I hope you don’t change all – and what do you usually cost? -> I would like my Saab pharmacy at the “P I would also be happy about information about the oil used and the required amount -> according to the manual 0-W30 is recommended. What work is still required in case of an oil change (filter, small parts, …)? Greetings, Sven.

strong brake scrubbing and vibration at high speed braking
Hello Saab – Profi`s Have my 95’er Kombi 2.3t now about 3 months and he has 14 thousand down (have bought it used) MJ 02. Recently on the highway I had to brake at about 220 strong and then started the brakes extremely rubbing, roaring and vibrating. – I am not used to from other vehicles – the windows and coverings look however still usually. Do I have to get used to it – say is normal or I have to go to the Höker again (have a guarantee on it!!). Do you have any experiences? ?? Thank you and greeting Bernd

9-5 2,3 185hp LPD, 2001 ; head gasket oil loss
hello forum has recently found at my 9-5 see regarding that the head seal “welds”. is not really much oil that comes out there, but it is enough for an oil stain under the car when it is parked. it is definitely from the head seal, recognisable over a wide area on the “motor backside”, so direction spray wall to the driver’s room. does that have to make me think?

Entry time 15,000 km?
I have been driving a 9.5, MY 03, 2.3t Kombi for about 1 year. So far the consumption was about 75% urban and 25% AB according to SID between 12.5 and 13.5 l/100 km. On longer fast driven AB routes with many full-gas accelerations and brakes, the consumption could also exceed 14 l/100 km quickly. Quite exactly after exceeding the 15,000 km threshold, I had at once a consumption of 11.5 l/100 km despite high urban traffic share. On a subsequent AB journey of 500 km was the Consumption at once at an incredible 9.8 l/100 km. However, I did not drive very fast because of numerous traffic jams, construction sites and viscous holiday traffic (95 km/h average speed according to SID). But where it was possible and allowed, I also drove more than 200 km/h. On the return journey the track was freer, so that at an average speed of 135 km/h a consumption of 11.4 l/100 km resulted. I am faced with a mystery. If it is imaginable, d as SID broken, have I unconsciously changed my driving style or has the Saab only really moved in now?

Engine oil for SAAB 3.0TiD?
Hello together, I drive a Saab 3.0TiD Sportcombi and want to make an oil change soon! has one of you experiences with the Mobile Motor Oil Mobil1 0W-40 for TurboDiesel? Is this high-quality engine oil an alternative to Mobil Synt. 5W40 or the official Saab oil? Do I do something good with it? Or is the recommended oil the better? How do you look with the guarantee if you use a different oil?? Do you have any idea about this?

List of defects Saab 9-5 Aero
Hello Saab friends, I bought my Saab 9-5 Aero BJ 10/1999 on 12/2001 with 38 TKm from a Saab dealer. The car had since the following defects In the beginning already the climate compressor was defective, cost point approx. 700 Euro. Saab then took over from Kulanz about 200 Euro. A dealer warranty I no longer had, because the dealer had reported insolvency. At about 69 TKm oil loss between engine and transmission, cost point approx. 1600 Euro (most part working time). Saab from Kulanz has about 80 At approx. 100 TKm exchange from the engine control unit, cost point 350 Euro. No culant yet! In between two sensors have been disconnected from the Parktronic, cost point 300 Euro. Now at 106 TKm the car in the workshop due to storage damage! Cause? Cost point approx. 4600 Euro I have had the car carry out all inspections at the Saab dealer. I drive the car really not hard! I am desperate! Greetings 9-5 Aero DA

Engine problem 9-5, 2.3T (B235)
Although there is the opinion of SAAB Deutschland (Customer Info Center) published by 1.SSAB (LB-S***) in which it explicitly states: “…that it is a customer support program with a retroactive garntie….”, but what can one do if a (worst) manufacturer of the world’s largest automobile conhzer (GM) leaves the concretely affected in the rain?? For now 10 days I am without a vehicle (commercially urgently required) and still stands an offiz In this case, the damage images are precisely defined: the complete block as well as the cylinder head and the turbocharger are affected… (somewhere in the forum I read that it is only 4 out of 100 (with 400,000 affected SAAB (according to the report of the car, engine and sport of 28.01.) but that is nevertheless 16.000….) There should be some who assert their right together. Or should I be the only affected person?? What I think of but due to the various contributions to the topic 9-5/engines/oil sludge cannot present.

Qualities of choice
Awful choice, change to Saab Hello Saab friends, drive a Passat Var. 1.8T, 7 years old, in May there is a change. Wanted to buy me a Saab 10 years ago, but at that time there were no cars. Now it should happen. But which ?? I already drove 9-5 3.0 TiD and 9-5 2.3t (185hp) sample. The diesel was very convincing, the 2.3t less, was also too thirsty for me. Now I want to drive the AERO again, fails at the moment only because the dealer everywhere only summer riding So far I like the diesel best. I’m not a raser, but I always want to have a reserve safe and available at all times, I think you have that with the diesel. Have only the following concerns: – if it expires now, what comes then (repair safety ?, resale value ?) – only Euro 3, what does that mean in the next years ? (driving bans or restrictions), comes a particulate soot filter as a retrofit kit ? – about oil consumption I have read wild things – who can me I have the following vehicle in mind: 9-5 3.0 TiD Vector Combi with Navi 12/04, will have about 20000km away in May, is currently driven by the dealer, price about 30 T€. Is this good or less ?? Please help me with your experience in my decision I am looking forward to your answers
