N`Evening! Yesterday it was time: I drove out the klöterkarre, banished from the garage, gave away, discarded. It was a funny, sad feeling to put this beautiful, stylish car with the cursed japs shit engine last time. In 3.5 years I drove mainly happy 70,000 km on it and I/we are/are always safely and comfortably brought to the finish. If a 2.2 TiD would work under the hood, I would have kept the car for 3-4 years. Now, on many (holidays) photos, the klöterkarre remains mostly in good memory. Negative memories are rare, especially because I’m taking off the car now before there could be hateful memories at some point. Everyone knows what is meant. In my garage there is now a Vectra Kombi 1.9 CDTI. Almost full equipment, noble color, leather, great and innovative technology, smooth running and hopefully durable engine! Impeccable workmanship, high-quality interior. I like the car; Until we get really warm with each other, however, some time will pass. A guy as strong as the Saab 9-5 can not push the Vectra from the throne in the first run. Maybe not in the second run. But he can earn his spores by reliability and comfortable long-distance gliding kilometers for kilometers in the first run. Then comes the unconditional affection of all the drivers. leine. P.S.: I will continue to keep you with my indulgences. (threat?!) Even without a bramble cart. I am still a Saab driver, because there is still a real Swede in my garage. Well, actually a Finn. Purchase advice 9-5er Kombi
Hello! I’m new to this forum and need some tips for a new purchase of a car. I want to get a family carriage. I’m currently driving a Saab 9-3 Aero and so far very satisfied with it. Only the car is too small now. I drive about 20,000km a year and need a lot of space, but also a car, which is reliable. Can someone give me tips on what you have to pay attention to in the 95s in general and the engines? What are the quality differences to Audi A6 Avant? , BMW 5 Series Touring and Benz E-Class T-Model? Thank you! FWeber

new 9-5 in 2008
Dear Saab community I think this is also interesting for you…. I just came back from my holiday in Sweden. In the Swedish car magazine “Teknikens Värld”, which I immediately broke under my nail, you presented the new 9-5 with some great photos! Under the address below the new one is unfortunately only pictured with a photo (title picture of the magazine). According to Teknikens-Värld, here a few details: -Introduction in 2008 on the Epsilon 2 – Platform details of the Aero-X should flow into the production!! -Production in Rüsselsheim -engines: 4.6 cylinders, NO V8 front or all-wheel drive -armatures/instrument panel futuristic with green lighting. Well-readable instruments as in an airplane. -Head up display -Black panel function should be maintained. Gruss Schwedentroll http://www.teknikensvarld.se/number/2006/number_162006/index.xml[/URL]

Tyres for winter
Sports combi 2002 / 3.0 TID in my vehicle license are 205/65 R 15 registered as rim size. I have original Saab rims 195/65 R15T (but I think I only have 110 KW of diesel but has 130 KW of diesel) can I use the rims or do I / can I have them registered or are there any other concerns?

four stand lamps at the rear – remedy?
Hello people, on Friday the car was in the workshop, due to problems with the alarm system. Twice and Dice were reprogrammed spare parts, with the result that the two fog lamps are burning weakly at the rear of the standlights except for the two floor lights. The light bulbs of the fog lamps were removed, on both sides are sockets for the 5W/21W light bulbs installed, and these are also inside. My attempt to insert normal 21W light bulbs failed a n the fact that the sockets for the 5W/21W are installed, and the locking mechanism is different, one does not get the 21W light bulb in the version pure. So it must be due to the programming that was done on Twice and Dice. After checking with the Tech2 “Programming main light” and “Programming fog lights” both stand on “Alternative 1”. For the fog lamp itself we did not have any programming possibility. point I get that only two stand lights are burning in the back, or that the nellight really only burns if it should. Thanks Toni

Saab 9-5 Kombi which engine?
Hello, now that I have read here for some time and my car is sold I want to buy my first Saab now. The 9-3 is a nice vehicle but for my space requirement too small so a 9-5. Now the question arises about a suitable engine. In the short choice has come the 2.3l with 185hp and the 2.3l with 250hp, both vehicles are about 1 year old and have a KM stand of about 20.000. There are differences between both engines regarding consumption and durability ode r should in any case take the bigger engine? Best regards Harald

Tire tip
All right, the snow goes and I need new summer tires. Have the org. 215/55-16V on my climate killer – still with Michelin, the factory. Only those are now at 90 TKm so hardened that they rush as if a wheel bearing would be defective. What do you have good experiences that combine half way sporty driving with high mileage? Even if some think it would not be worthwhile for the 3.0 TID, but it runs so far 1200 km per week. Greeting Rolf

Oil screen cleaning done! Info to everyone!
Hi, my 9-5 AERO is as some know are Wednesday at the dealer for oil bath cleaning. Yesterday evening the nice master called me to give me an interim report. As a little history: My engine sounded very sniffy in the cold state, only when it was really warm he clapped quite a lot….like a diesel or something. Report from the master: “I have 2 good news for you” 1.The oil tank was flashy, no oil sludge or other foreign body. 2.This e Work was still necessary and saved you! DEN: the seals of the oil sieve were broken (from the “pump” pipe or as it is called) These had become totally hard and crumbled. (engine has 80 000km !) Thus my AERO has built in warm condition too little oil pressure! What this would have meant on a proper highway ride everyone can think. I recommend again to everyone: let your oil pans “open” ! MfG

2. Inspection 9-5: Are these costs normal?
Hello, had our Saab 9-5 Vector 3.0 TID for the 2nd inspection (EZ 10/05) at almost 40,000 km. Costs: net 517 Euro (total 616 Euro). I find the costs quite heavy, because there was nothing to repair. What is actually part of the regular inspection scope? In addition to the actual inspection and material the following services were calculated: 0.3 hours. Change fuel filter 0.4 hours. Change interior filter 0.1 hours. Change wiper blades The old wiper blades funkttio In fact, they were replaced for 23.58 nets/pieces, among other things, washing system addition 5l for 14,95 nets, engine oil for 113 nets. First of all, thank you for your opinion.

Which oil for my 9-5 Aero? and Saab my dear friend.
Hello, I know that now some red will see…….already such an oil question again! But somehow I am unsure and could not find any help in other Treads. My oil sieve should be checked now, and I may bring my own oil with me……if it corresponds to the specifications. What can I take? I know it should be full synth., but maybe there is someone here who really has experience with the cars and definitely what to tell me kan Because the Saab car dealerships are always running the 0W30 or something. (longlife), but that’s expensive and should “hold” 30 000km. But since I change all 7-10 000km I don’t need that. Is Mobil 0W40 full synth. good? or allowed? (9-5 AERO 230hp) The vehicle is driven 70% in the city, only as an info. Have something around today to find out prices. Now please explain to me one thing: how can it be that I call a Saab car dealership, and which I call as a minimum price 40 0€ ! for the sieve cleaning specify, but another Saab car dealership 20km as the crow flies from which ENtfernt only 180€ wants!? Both without new oil, so only the pure cleaning of the oil tank and sieve, a difference of 220€!!! , you can convert this into the good old D-Mark. Man there you learn all the more that man has to compare prices! MfG
