Dear community of the faithful Saab drivers! I recently saw a diplomatic vehicle Saab 9-5 in our city center, where the lateral position lights were equipped. That looked fantastic – reminiscent of the white stand lights under the flash lights at the good old 900 / 9000. Unfortunately I did not see whether the rear side lights were additionally equipped, but if I look at my rear lights, there is also room for additional light bulbs at the sides. My question: Do you know if these lights can be retrofitted, what the corresponding parts are called (where I get them) and what they cost about? Perhaps someone also has a hint to retrofit themselves? I would be grateful for every answer and vebreibbe with a friendly Hejda! Your Daniel

Buying advice Tips for Troll or 9-5 in general
2002er 2,3 Troll with 280 hp, automatic, 100 tkm: Limo, where are the weak points and/or what exactly must be taken into account when inspecting? Torque? vMax? Consumption with a controlled driving mode, approx. 85% motorway speed-limited with cruise control and the rest most urban traffic? Reliability? How are the seats (i.e. frequent drivers)? Or is there perhaps a more harmonious version 9-5 with automatic than the one with 280 hp (but should vmax of 230 km/h be possible)?

Automatic
My most hated car newspaper didn’t leave a good hair on the 9-5 Facelift: here quote: The five-step automatic switches over-nervely hectic and hard. Instead, we recommend the handshift.

Saab 9-5 Kombi – Which engine?
Hello Together, due to upcoming offspring, the purchase of a station wagon is planned. Since Saab is to be kept true, a 9-5 would be considered (Father drives 9-3 sports combi, but I find it too small in the rear). However, one reads with horror that the 3.0 TID engine is not exactly reliable. Therefore probably also the many relatively inexpensive used car offers. However, it does not necessarily have to be a diesel, but would be nice. Which engine is recommended as diesel? ll petrol engines robust, or is there also a type of which you should better leave your hands on? What is your opinion? I am grateful for every hint! Best regards Aluauto P.S. It should be already a used car (price advantage)

Power loss 9-5 3.0 TiD Vector
Hello guys, I hope you can help me a little bit. Since a good 3/4 year I belong now also to the Saab family (was always my dream). I bought a 9-5 Kombi Vector 3.0 TiD BJ 12/2003 used (KM at the time 46,000) first hand. The car is otherwise top in shot and has also made no problems. Now about 30,000 km later, the theater goes off. Short description: 1.) remained on BAB, since no fuel in it (pearantly I know, but the remaining kilometer indicator gave m 130 km) The ADAC wanted to read out the memory of the faults, didn’t work. Has “fumbled” about it several times with software from Opel Signum, only came to the OBD data. Since then the following in the SID: Ignition key does not accept to visit workshop. 2.) Since now almost two weeks power losses and stutter when the engine is cold. So far, always after a short stop with parking away. After that he ran like a clockwork. 3.) Weekend after Hall driven, same problem, same solution tried. This time nothing worked. CheckEngine lights up SID says check ok. Since then this already program runs off. One night standing, lamp burns but car ran without problems – – strange – – 4.) This morning no lamp, same problem engine control light approached during the ride, solution unsuccessful. 5.) some high oil consumption as I find so about 1 liter on 10,000 km. I hope you can help me, what is that?? Did this have to do with the attempt Is it always better if you can look at them exactly on your fingers. Please ask for advice. Greetings Muegge75

Kat defective, price for repair ok?.
Hello, I had an oil change with oil sieve check done on my newly bought, used 9-5 combi. To remove the oil pan the cat had to be dismantled. It was found that this is defective, the inner life is literally crumbled. So I was allowed to fly into the bag today and put a good 2,000 euros for the exchange. Is this price justified? Original parts were installed, both Lambda probes are included in the price. Thanks for the help. Saab 9-5 Kombi, 2.0, Bj 12/00, just under 99,000km

95 Kombi 18,5 l/ 100 Help!!!
Hello, I had about 2 weeks ago bought a Saab 2.0 Kombi Bj 4/2000 with 150 HP automatic. Immediately in love, but I was already stunned. I had already expected city consumption 15 liters. Drive only with the foot tip never over 2500 rpm. I have to say that I drive very short distances in the city. But now the hammer: first measurement 162 km fuelled 29.7 liters super 98 octan 🙁 . Is there perhaps something deffekt on the injection system. Have had recently made first ASU. the mechanic beamed when he the engine values saw, everything ok! Ask for your suggestions! What can I do? If this continues, I have to sell the car! Thank you!

Acceleration times 9-5 Troll R
Hello , I drive a 9-5 Troll R Limo (Laser Red) MY03, 305 HP with Automatic transmission+Sentronic. Mom. I have 104,000 km on it. At km/Stand 94,000 the following was waved: -Air mass meter -Zündbox -APC solenoid valve -New deer turbocharger (2,800 euros) – Konpletter chain drive new, with chain, wheels, rails etc. – All engine seals new (ZKD, intake, exhaust gas, etc..) – All charging air hoses, clamps small parts etc. – Main brake cylinders new All invoices together sic h to just over 8,000 euros (incl. work !) …….Good that the car guarantee still runs until 01/08!!!!!!!! Now at the times. I measured with a known. He has the cool GPS driftbox, but it costs 675.- Euro. For GPS- exactly. 0-100 km/h: 7.4 seconds lt. Hirsch: 6.8 sec. 100-200 km/h: 17.1 seconds lt. Hirsch: 15.4 sec. 0-200 km/h: 24.5 seconds lt. Hirsch: 22.2 sec. Interesting is from 100-200 km/h, unfortunately I was only able to fully accelerate from 90 km/h because the AB was full. Z around other I weigh good 115 kg, and my passenger good 110 kg. Mr Stadler von Hirsch meant I should accelerate from 50-60 km/h fully. Will do this soon and report again. Lt. Tech2 (other test) max. torque 440 Nm, and V-max: 268 km/h, I thought the automatic version is throttled ?????? Do you also have times ? spec. of the 9-5 Troll R ???? Would you like to thank !!!

To all 9-5 AERO drivers: Questions about questions (after 2000km)
Hello, I have now put the first 2000km behind me in my 9-5 AERO. And since I have no one to compare I just ask here. Vehicle: 9-5 AERO KOMBI 4-speed automatic. Built 1999 Point 1: The consumption is on average 14-15L/100km. 80% city, quiet driving. My question is whether the consumption is normal or if something is not quite right. (Zündkerzen or so) The consumption is “no matter” for me is only about whether it is normal with the 4-speed. Point 2: In the state we nn mann is in “D” and stands on the brake, the steering wheel vibrates. Feels about as if you hold a cell phone in your hand when it vibrates. When you turn on in “N” it’s gone. Point 3: I have a noise in the engine compartment when I am idle. Comes from the passenger side/direction wheel box. Is a kind of shapper……heavy to describe. But you hear it more with a closed bonnet. When you stop in the engine compartment it doesn’t notice. Rather in general when you are in “D” and you are standing on the brake, the steering wheel vibrates. n standing in front of the car or in the garage. Is this more normal? I’m looking forward to your opinions. Unfortunately, I don’t have a comparison vehicle here, everything could be normal. I just want to be safe. MfG
