Hello Saab friends, n buddy of mine drives among other things a 2002er Saab 9-5 with said engine. Recently I raised him a bit and said that is also only n differently packed Vectra B (somewhat jokingly of course, I am Opel driver myself) 😛 Of course he did not want to let it sit on himself and meant the ground group was developed so to speak by Saab for Opel/GM and the engine – the finest Saab engine etc… I then Googled without any clue and see – nothing of the right 😉 I then showed the buddy some reports about the engine and he fell out of all clouds. He is a guy who buys cars and drives up to the bitter end or the vehicles then also puts in the barn as collectible object/possibly valuable plant. Well, since the engine of the Saab has driven down 280,000km (200,000 of it, but drives only a maximum of 130), he is now unsure and wonders whether the engine e.g. by new bushings, cylinder hoarding or similar permanently ha Since he is so attached to the cars, he would probably also like to invest a little more if useful. Is there any possibilities there? Except for tips like engine cover down, no high speeds etc found nothing about whether one gets by by revision of the engine firmness somehow. Hello from a new SAAB driver
Hello municipality, now it happened. What should I say? Actually I should have got a BMW 1. So far I had a 320d touring. And now that. For 3 days I drive a SAAB 9.5 Sport Kombi. 2.3T with 260 hp as a company car. The car was free and would have stood around otherwise. My one had already dealt with SAAB a few years ago (2001-2003). If the price had not been a 9.5 already at that time in my garage. So and now objectively. r no BMW. Less quality and haptic. No rear drive. Worse nav and worse operation. Less target precise steering. The drive influences are extreme. Mix of dark grey leather front and light beige in the rear is next to it. Light blue (BABYBLAU) Metallic( I found sometimes good but with the car that does not have to be. But SAAB can do little for it.) No 6 gear transmission. Certainly no BMW standalone design. Looks at the side objective but in the rear mirror bad. But intuitive to use (if m the key is plugged into the center console and the key is only to pull when the reverse is in it ;-)) place like in the 3rd. Full equipment with all ZIP and ZAP(not valid for all I know) Honestly, it’s not a BMW, Audi or Mercedes. Overall, the BMW 3 Series I drove is better. (once the performance is in front) But I think I understand why there are people who like these cars. Of course the performance I have in the car contributes to this. This car is the said wolf in sheep’s clothing. From 2000 U.min. the car goes like an animal. What I left on the train in the last 2 days astonished behind me I had never had before. But, I catch myself just twitching and showing it. And then it’s easy to roll with cruise control and tell me. Let me know it’s possible. So even if it’s not my own car. Even if others besse I hope that this brand SAAB will be around for a long time to enrich the car world.

Xenon headlights fall out
Hello all, on my 9-5 Aero (Bj 11/04 MJ 05) everything falls off from time to time the passing light on the driver’s side. When I turn off the light briefly and immediately afterwards everything goes on again. The strange thing is that the problem only appears once in a while. Sometimes it has to turn off and on after one light again and again, another time the light annoys again and again. This is already going on for a few months. At first I thought that the xenon burner will soon give up the mind, but that seems to be n One of you has had a similar problem or someone knows what that might be. Of course I’ve already used the search but there was no one with a similar problem. Thanks for your help.

Oil consumption 9-5 2,3 T
Hello, I drive my 4th Saab- currently a 9-5 2.3 T Bauj. 2005. The engine has 210 000 km. Before about 15000 km the control chain was torn, but could be repaired. The engine needs on 1.000 km about 1 liter engine oil. According to my dealer’s recommendation a new turbocharger was installed. No improvement. Before about 5 000 km the oil tank was cleaned which would not have been necessary: no oil sludge. When the engine starts cold there is a huge oil cloud. is there no oil wool at the start. So there seems to be something where oil in… (that’s the question) leaks over a long period of time. Does anyone have a suggestion what else I could do. Spark plug image is very good. (Measuring compression?)

Strange sound at right curves
It’s me again, it’s about a quiet noise that occurs with right curves. I mean it comes from the back right. It sounds like you blow against the opening of a bottle, so practically like a pan flute making music with a bottle. I think it’s quite good. It’s a relatively dark tone. I might also mean a certain, not very high-frequency, squeaking as a subtone. What might that be? Thanks in advance!

Motor damage 95 3.0 v6 tid
Hello! I have a big probelm – who can help or has experiences. so I have been driving a saab 95 3.0 V6 TiD since dez 01. I drive a very quiet style 7.0l at almost only city traffic. at 29500 km service. the workshop reports a probelm.- it is pressure on the cooling water system – it is probably the cylinder head seal- the workshop has submitted immediately at saab kulanzapplication. three days later -saab service interval was not observed – so either every 20tkm o. annually- from why is the BC? no kulanz. I then turned to saab personally with the same result. so the order triggered at my expense. today – we can not fix the problem and saab now comes to the conclusion of the engine has to be changed. nice thanks in advance greeting jens

Chassis 9-5 MY05 vs. MY 06
Hello! I’m just a little confused. I’ve heard somewhere that the new 9-5 (after the 06 Facelift) should have a different chassis (if necessary also voted differently). Among other things, he would have a different track. In brochures I can only find that all 9-5 he has a track of 1522mm in the front and behind the MY06 1528mm (while the “old” 1522mm have). Hello Saabianer Have already mentioned a problem like from others here already. I can go shopping with my 3.0 Tid (engine changed just 2 years ago). At the hinwaerts he goes like the sow and at the homewaerts after restart I almost no longer come from the place. Is alternately there and then again not. Little bit too much gas and he jerks as if only a cylinder was there.The problem has slowly crept up. At the beginning he is only on the highway on fast drive plotzlic But now almost always with just a little too much gas. Diesel filter is new.At the beginning I also poke.Air filter is also clean. Satisfied Saab 9-5 3.0TiD driver!!!!!
I just have to get rid of it, I have via ebay a Saab 9-5 Arc 3.0 TiD sports combi with all the extras, first registration May 2002 by Euro 12,000,– auctioned!!!!!!!!!!! Very blue eyed, but I immediately liked the car so much, and the description of the seller at ebay caused me to do so. I have to say that I was a Peugeot driver until then and very satisfied!!!! To shorten all this I just want to say: “It all worked out wonderfully, the seller gave me the car of GRAZ brought to Riefensberg in the Bregenzerwald about 700 km (Austria). We had a very nice contact and he told me a lot about the car, he really swarmed about the SAAB 9-5 3.0 TiD, especially about the engine he was completely enthusiastic and he has already 146,000 km !!! and still drives great!!!!!!! (he sold the car only because he emigrated to South Africa on business) As said, I bought the car on 12.12.06, am on 13.12.06 in a Saabwerkstätte drove and had everything checked and looked at, in short the workshop master congratulated me and said: “Really a bargain, not found a mistake, and the engine is also in a great condition!!!!!!!!!! ” I have already driven a few km, akull km stood 147.990, and I must sgen, I am completely enthusiastic about the car and the engine 3.0 TiD!!!!!!!!! 9-5 reverse goes net always pure
Moinsens, I have the following problem with my Saab 95 Bj99 2.0 150Ps the reverse gear of 10 times 8 times net in only after I have released the clutch again and then before the 3 gear or 2 th inserted it might work.Bin himself car master and have set the switching rod according to Sabb regulations with 2 locking pins.Unfortunately without success.All other gears flooded great.Have looked at the explosion drawings at my former company but i If I have inserted a gear, I can move the gear lever at the top of the knob about 3cm back and forth.This loose one then goes over the gear fork to the gearbox.Where does the lots come from????Perhaps someone has an idea.
