Although there is the opinion of SAAB Deutschland (Customer Info Center) published by 1.SSAB (LB-S***) in which it explicitly states: “…that it is a customer support program with a retroactive garntie….”, but what can one do if a (worst) manufacturer of the world’s largest automobile conhzer (GM) leaves the concretely affected in the rain?? For now 10 days I am without a vehicle (commercially urgently required) and still stands an offiz In this case, the damage images are precisely defined: the complete block as well as the cylinder head and the turbocharger are affected… (somewhere in the forum I read that it is only 4 out of 100 (with 400,000 affected SAAB (according to the report of the car, engine and sport of 28.01.) but that is nevertheless 16.000….) There should be some who assert their right together. Or should I be the only affected person?? What I think of but due to the various contributions to the topic 9-5/engines/oil sludge cannot present.

Qualities of choice
Awful choice, change to Saab Hello Saab friends, drive a Passat Var. 1.8T, 7 years old, in May there is a change. Wanted to buy me a Saab 10 years ago, but at that time there were no cars. Now it should happen. But which ?? I already drove 9-5 3.0 TiD and 9-5 2.3t (185hp) sample. The diesel was very convincing, the 2.3t less, was also too thirsty for me. Now I want to drive the AERO again, fails at the moment only because the dealer everywhere only summer riding So far I like the diesel best. I’m not a raser, but I always want to have a reserve safe and available at all times, I think you have that with the diesel. Have only the following concerns: – if it expires now, what comes then (repair safety ?, resale value ?) – only Euro 3, what does that mean in the next years ? (driving bans or restrictions), comes a particulate soot filter as a retrofit kit ? – about oil consumption I have read wild things – who can me I have the following vehicle in mind: 9-5 3.0 TiD Vector Combi with Navi 12/04, will have about 20000km away in May, is currently driven by the dealer, price about 30 T€. Is this good or less ?? Please help me with your experience in my decision I am looking forward to your answers

black smoke from the exhaust system
Hello, a few days ago I bought a Saab 9-5 3.0TiD Built. 2002 (150tkm) to enjoy the great driving comfort of a 6-cylinder. Now the Saab continuously smokes and operates the accelerator pedal when accelerating (not when starting) black smoke from the exhaust system. I noticed this when looking into the rear-view mirror. In older articles I read about the following problems: – Fuel- Air mixture – Air mass meter (dreamed/defected) – Air filter – Test d it EGR (?)- Valve + can (?); should be 70% Felerquote of the Saab Diesel – vacuum hoses to turbocharger What do you recommend to me here? –

Goodbye (maybe)
Hello ! I changed my 2001 2.0 Turbo Combi for a Vectra C Caravan (1.9 CDTI automatic Cosmo). The Saab has now provided me with 6 years of good service. Except for a broken Turbo I can not say anything against the Saab. I looked at a newer 95er (see other thread), but he could not convince me. The 2006 Aero was from the engine of the hammer. But the rest I did not like so much. You just noticed too little change over the 2001er. For the same extra charge to my Saab I have now got a 2 year old Vectra with great equipment. Since I was never a real “Saabfanatischer” I can also separate myself from it quite easily. Nevertheless, the Saab was the car which I drove the longest of all my cars. I would like to thank you for the tips. The Saabforum is really the best I have read so far. I will know And who knows maybe it will be a Saab again. All the best and always neat loading pressure Steffen

9.5 2,3Turbo, just goes out while driving
So we are since June d. J. proud owners (so at least we were so far) of a Saab 9.5. Unfortunately, the good piece for some time causes us problems description of error: – it just goes off during the ride, without any sign (usually at large heat or traffic jam) – fault light gear lights up and the engine control light goes on – after a little wait, you can start it again and it drives again We have changed the crankshaft sensor meanwhile and were also in a Saab workshop, where we had the ignition cassette renewed. It ran now about 1 month without any problems. Yesterday we were on our way to the concert and stood a few minutes in the traffic jam and swooped out again. Does someone have an idea what they might have…

Odour nuisance by wiping water
For a few days now, Moinsen has had a problem that is not really technical, but rather a very odor-intensive one. I use the wiping water system to smell a / two seconds later in the interior of a really bad egg. Always put on air before I moisten the glass. Since yesterday I am back home and thought – now you look up. Hood open, lid of the wiping water tank and look inside carefully… after approx. 3 minu the tank looks very clean – I use with every filling (fill always when the message appears in the SID – wiping water level too low “CW disc cleaner concentrate – is also used (due to the many highway routes, just at night) the wiper system with me very often, so the day usually has to be filled up every 1-2 weeks. How can it then be that it starts to smell like that!? using all the abs (to suppress the strangle effect) he emptied the tank with a small hand suction pump (actually for the aquarium). Fresh water and cleaner filled in. After three four wiping operations it has improved a bit… or the smell of the cleaner overwashes the only… smells but still funny… the bad is… the car itself stinks after use of course also… until the next rain shower…. Does someone know something like that? Maybe I should go back to Change the cleaner…

3 L Diesel – Workshop
Hello, I’ve been driving a 3-L diesel for over a year. I only learned about the problems after the purchase, bought it with a brand new engine (because just changed). Since I no longer have a warranty on the new Agregat, I did not have the oil change (all 10000 km) made in an SZ. Now I stayed yesterday with massive oil loss and was dragged by the ADAC into the SZ. It turns out that the oil drain screw was defective and obviously with (acc. On the bill (seen today) it says: oil drain screw defective from the oil filter cover, the oil filter cover must be renewed at the next oil change. The master of the SZ assumes that the screw was simply pushed out by the operating pressure, the oil leaked out and…. more we don’t know yet! He hinted that the manipulating factory town had to take this damage from his point of view, because here “punched” was done. now have two methods to choose from: 1. Oil filter cover new, oil pure and test whether the engine has suffered damage, 2. Evaluate, documentation, take the engine apart and look at it… Do you have a piece of advice? That’s a strong piece of advice, isn’t it? I rely on my workshop as a layman – I treat my 3lDiesel like a raw egg and now a glued-in screw!!! Kirsten

Saab 9-5 Aero Nordic 2 + Ferrita Video and small problems
Hello, today the FPR + ECU came in. Is by the way stage 2. Must say the car runs very nice, only there is still something that doesn’t fit 100% in my opinion. 1. and 2nd gear are really strong. But in the 3rd he pulls the charging pressure back to 0.7Bar to lift it from about 4000 rpm again….what can that be? Today it was exactly 20 degrees outside temperature, so not too warm. While my charging pressure indicator shows e.g. in the 3rd 0.7 bar the original in the tacho is like fixed nail My charging pressure indicator is connected to the vacuum hose of the Bosch BOV. Funny or, much reads, you can now get the “leak” in the tacho everything perfectly, but on the line of the BOV too little charging pressure…….can anyone do something with it? *hust*kater*hust* My guesses: 1.Tünkerzen, there are the original Aero candles in it. Perhaps I need others now? 2.Ferrita irdendwicht? Would that matter at all? (except directly on the turbo) 3.this APC Valve or what that means. (3 hoses) 4.bad fuel? (tank always 98, but this time from cheap tank) If someone still has tips I would be very grateful. In the stand almost series, during cruise also, at full load….. VIDEO: http://www.myvideo.de/watch/6590442 Here you can see how and where charging pressure goes down although it should be at about 1-1,2 bar. 2 days ago series stood about 0,9 bar to which were also stable. http://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_2 4.Gang 80- 160km/hhttp://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_4 3.Gang 80-120km/hhttp://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_5 1.Gang Gentler Start 0-100km/hhttp://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_6 Soundvideohttp://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_3 Greetings

Bicycle transport at 9-5 Kombi
I am still looking for a reasonable solution for the transport of 2 bicycles with my 9-5 SC, year 2009 (yes I ordered and bought one shortly before the crisis – and am glad about it; is by the way a 2.3 BioPower with deer “ganzbreitgrins”. Saab offers indeed roof beams with a kind of All the systems have disadvantages: the crane arm – lack of stability at higher speeds (driving wind?!) and installation effort (and: costs) towing coupling – bad look, instability (how is it actually ensured that the wheels don’t just tip over on the spherical AHK?) elaborate installation (and: costs) rear flap carrier – probably damages the paint, high Installation expenditure (and: costs) Are there tips for the manufacturers (e.g. Thule, Paulchen, and how they are all called) and of course: Tips for a cheap purchase 😉 Thank you for every answer!

How much does an aero cost in times like this?
When I recently stood at a Saab dealer and reviewed a 2009 Aero, I was named as a rough target price for the car 28-29T€. For a new car on order (which I was before). I could hardly believe….. Well, Saab is not really doing well right now, the model change is imminent, the Aero is large and powerful and the dealer imports himself. Nevertheless – that’s discounts. What does it look like with you – who experienced similar ? Are the last Saabs being rammed now?
