My age (see picture) I drove with about 9-11 liters (EZL 2003, 306 hp). Now I drive a Hirch with 280 hp, EZL 06/2005. I’ve never driven this vehicle under 10,5 l, even at the snail’s speed. Is this consumption normal with this compilation (PS/BJ)? However, I have the feeling that it is better in the gas than my last Saab. I hope it is back again! can give me some tips. See you soon greeting miwa

Start problems / battery
Hello, I have a Saab 9-5 Aero Kombi Bj 99, 200Tkm. Audio system with CD and cassette but without the sub in the rear side compartment. So far satisfied only nac h loud music pleasure it happens again and again that the battery obviously does not have enough juice to start – more than a “click” no more. Overbridge me, it jumps immediately. Even if I connect the charger at home the Batterie is usually already after 30 min fully fit again – run charger. Now I read irgedwo something of a the capacitor of the voltage peaks should “catch” so that the batter is not so affected – Saab does not have such a thing in with 200w audio ?? Does that bring something, because I have now already the third battery in it recently…. Thank you Steve

Strong hum after tyre change
Hello dear SAABunity, I don’t get smart about the following thing at the moment: I drove 195 winter tires until last weekend. On the weekend I mounted 215 summer tires and since then have a buzzing while driving. Just before the traffic light (i.e. at a steady pace) it gets quite violent short, so that the turn signal lever ratters. What is that? That it rolls quite loud, I have already thought before. But after the tyre change it became my opinion much too loud. I thought I would have put the tyres on in the wrong direction of the race, but they are not available at all with these tyres, but only the indication of an outside. For information: these are Michelin Primacy. Can anyone help me?

Experiences with workshops – Help ask!!
( …vorpost, the story is a little longer and follows the same!) as my title reveals, I or my colleague are looking for a “reliable” SAAB workshop in southern Germany. After countless beer bottles in workshops and experts who have no idea and always only want to change control parts, I don’t want to look every morning at work in a bitter face. Please help me!! Where is a GOOD SAAB workshop?

Kaufberatung 9-5 Kombi 2.0t or 2.3t SE Built 98 – 2001 ?
Hello, now that I have sold my Volvo 850 Kombi, I need next to my 9000 CSE Anni another family combi for daily use. As a Saab fan I have a 9-5 SE Kombi of the years 1998 – 2001 in mind. Leather should be, switch or automatic (is there a noticeable extra consumption here?) is actually no matter, climate & seat heating are mandatory anyway, the rest of the equipment is actually always the same. Running power around the 100 TKM, max. 130 TKM, na I can find out about the price in the framework of the 5,000,-€, much more is unfortunately not inside… therefore only the years of construction 1998 – max. 2001 will come into question. Now I still ask myself the question of the engine…in principle the 2.0t with its 150 hp long. I drive a lot in the city, sometimes overland and sometimes (holiday) long. the highway routes, on which I rather “cruise” (140 – 160 km/h) instead of racing. Sometimes apart from the 20,-€ taxes more a year (insurance I still have to clarify), would you still recommend me the 2.3t, or will I also be happy with the 2.0t? How is the fuel consumption for both engines to be evaluated? Is the 2.3t by the higher torque and the 35 more hp in normal driving mode in the city possibly even a little more economical than the 2.0t or simply by the larger hub raum/Turbo/mehr PS do you think much higher? Oh yes, I think of an LPG gas retrofitting of the car again in the spring, is there possibly something special to pay attention to here? Thank you for your tips and many greetings from Erlangen, Jens

Elasticity: 9-5 2.3t BioPower Deer vs. 9-5 Aero
Hi Together, it’s about elasticity (i.e. passing by gas) and consumption values at “9-5 2.3t BioPower Hirsch” vs. “9-5 Aero”. In both cars I mean the current “chromoglasses”, both with the same circuit. I have 4 questions 1.) Which of the two vehicles can be used less in everyday traffic? (Overland + some city) 2.) Does one of the two have the significantly better pull-through values? ( Overtaking, acceleration ) 3.) Is a price slip noticeable or a look at n? (especially for dealer vehicles that are on the farm) 4.) Did Saab / GM turn out for spare parts supply? Background my question I would like to submit my 9-5 2.0t BioPower Kombi in January 2010 and buy a 2.3 BioPower with Hirschtuning or again an Aero (260hp). Whether this is reasonable in the current Saab situation, I can probably only answer in a few years…

3.0 TiD engine problem AGR valve
Hello together, as I just found out, I am one of the stupid ones who bought a 9-5 3.0 TiD. Days after the purchase the engine did not take any more gas, in a Saab workshop the error code P 1403 was read out – means AGR valve broken. The new one is now in it, the dealer sent me free of charge, but the problem is not completely fixed. Can it be that the usual engine problem occurs already? The box got a new engine at 100Tkm, which now has 60 tkm down, there is the hope that he will still make the 100,000, or I will soon be standing with two tons of scrap metal in the rain. In the topic of engine damage, was talked about a workshop in Poland, which will correct these ominous sockets, which are not to stay where they should, can you send me the address for the sake of precaution already.

Saab buy no?
I have come across a Saab 9-5 Tid Vector SportKombi Bj 07 50tkm full equipment for 16500Euro – which makes a good impression and think about buying it. BUT in various forums one reads so much bad (even the Saab forenusers about their own brand!), horrendous workshop costs, spare parts are exorbitantly expensive, …in view of the fact that the Saab I possibly buy in a few days, can no longer be resold, since there is no more Saab (and w he would buy a Saab in 4-5 years then) I get big concerns! Even if I imagine that if Saab shuts down, then GM will possibly let the spare parts cost even more…etc.etc. What do you think about it? What should I do? Trade the price even further down and then at , yes at what price?

Check Engine and Oil Level Check
Hello! On my Saab 9-5, 2.0T, EZ 01.2003 the message Check Engine lights up. The car was 3 months ago and had to be bridged for the first start. Can this message also come from the insufficient battery? In the logbook it says that this occurs in case of an error in the fuel or ignition system. And can the message be deleted? During the highway ride came suddenly “oil level testing” in the on-board computer. The oil level was still good and I still have some oil after g In the logbook it says that this message only occurs with diesel models. The message comes now always when it is started. For both messages applies : The Saab drives inconspicuously – there is no power inlet. Thanks in advance!
