  • Odour nuisance by wiping water

For a few days now, Moinsen has had a problem that is not really technical, but rather a very odor-intensive one. I use the wiping water system to smell a / two seconds later in the interior of a really bad egg. Always put on air before I moisten the glass. Since yesterday I am back home and thought – now you look up. Hood open, lid of the wiping water tank and look inside carefully… after approx. 3 minu the tank looks very clean – I use with every filling (fill always when the message appears in the SID – wiping water level too low “CW disc cleaner concentrate – is also used (due to the many highway routes, just at night) the wiper system with me very often, so the day usually has to be filled up every 1-2 weeks. How can it then be that it starts to smell like that!? using all the abs (to suppress the strangle effect) he emptied the tank with a small hand suction pump (actually for the aquarium). Fresh water and cleaner filled in. After three four wiping operations it has improved a bit… or the smell of the cleaner overwashes the only… smells but still funny… the bad is… the car itself stinks after use of course also… until the next rain shower…. Does someone know something like that? Maybe I should go back to Change the cleaner…

  • 3 L Diesel – Workshop

Hello, I’ve been driving a 3-L diesel for over a year. I only learned about the problems after the purchase, bought it with a brand new engine (because just changed). Since I no longer have a warranty on the new Agregat, I did not have the oil change (all 10000 km) made in an SZ. Now I stayed yesterday with massive oil loss and was dragged by the ADAC into the SZ. It turns out that the oil drain screw was defective and obviously with (acc. On the bill (seen today) it says: oil drain screw defective from the oil filter cover, the oil filter cover must be renewed at the next oil change. The master of the SZ assumes that the screw was simply pushed out by the operating pressure, the oil leaked out and…. more we don’t know yet! He hinted that the manipulating factory town had to take this damage from his point of view, because here “punched” was done. now have two methods to choose from: 1. Oil filter cover new, oil pure and test whether the engine has suffered damage, 2. Evaluate, documentation, take the engine apart and look at it… Do you have a piece of advice? That’s a strong piece of advice, isn’t it? I rely on my workshop as a layman – I treat my 3lDiesel like a raw egg and now a glued-in screw!!! Kirsten

  • Saab 9-5 Aero Nordic 2 + Ferrita Video and small problems

Hello, today the FPR + ECU came in. Is by the way stage 2. Must say the car runs very nice, only there is still something that doesn’t fit 100% in my opinion. 1. and 2nd gear are really strong. But in the 3rd he pulls the charging pressure back to 0.7Bar to lift it from about 4000 rpm again….what can that be? Today it was exactly 20 degrees outside temperature, so not too warm. While my charging pressure indicator shows e.g. in the 3rd 0.7 bar the original in the tacho is like fixed nail My charging pressure indicator is connected to the vacuum hose of the Bosch BOV. Funny or, much reads, you can now get the “leak” in the tacho everything perfectly, but on the line of the BOV too little charging pressure…….can anyone do something with it? *hust*kater*hust* My guesses: 1.Tünkerzen, there are the original Aero candles in it. Perhaps I need others now? 2.Ferrita irdendwicht? Would that matter at all? (except directly on the turbo) 3.this APC Valve or what that means. (3 hoses) 4.bad fuel? (tank always 98, but this time from cheap tank) If someone still has tips I would be very grateful. In the stand almost series, during cruise also, at full load….. VIDEO: http://www.myvideo.de/watch/6590442 Here you can see how and where charging pressure goes down although it should be at about 1-1,2 bar. 2 days ago series stood about 0,9 bar to which were also stable. http://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_2 4.Gang 80- 160km/hhttp://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_4 3.Gang 80-120km/hhttp://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_5 1.Gang Gentler Start 0-100km/hhttp://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_6 Soundvideohttp://www.myvideo.de/…/Saab_9_5_Nordic_Stage_2_Ferrita_part_3 Greetings

  • Bicycle transport at 9-5 Kombi

I am still looking for a reasonable solution for the transport of 2 bicycles with my 9-5 SC, year 2009 (yes I ordered and bought one shortly before the crisis – and am glad about it; is by the way a 2.3 BioPower with deer “ganzbreitgrins”. Saab offers indeed roof beams with a kind of All the systems have disadvantages: the crane arm – lack of stability at higher speeds (driving wind?!) and installation effort (and: costs) towing coupling – bad look, instability (how is it actually ensured that the wheels don’t just tip over on the spherical AHK?) elaborate installation (and: costs) rear flap carrier – probably damages the paint, high Installation expenditure (and: costs) Are there tips for the manufacturers (e.g. Thule, Paulchen, and how they are all called) and of course: Tips for a cheap purchase 😉 Thank you for every answer!

  • How much does an aero cost in times like this?

When I recently stood at a Saab dealer and reviewed a 2009 Aero, I was named as a rough target price for the car 28-29T€. For a new car on order (which I was before). I could hardly believe….. Well, Saab is not really doing well right now, the model change is imminent, the Aero is large and powerful and the dealer imports himself. Nevertheless – that’s discounts. What does it look like with you – who experienced similar ? Are the last Saabs being rammed now?

  • My deer is drinking too much!?

My age (see picture) I drove with about 9-11 liters (EZL 2003, 306 hp). Now I drive a Hirch with 280 hp, EZL 06/2005. I’ve never driven this vehicle under 10,5 l, even at the snail’s speed. Is this consumption normal with this compilation (PS/BJ)? However, I have the feeling that it is better in the gas than my last Saab. I hope it is back again! can give me some tips. See you soon greeting miwa

  • Start problems / battery

Hello, I have a Saab 9-5 Aero Kombi Bj 99, 200Tkm. Audio system with CD and cassette but without the sub in the rear side compartment. So far satisfied only nac h loud music pleasure it happens again and again that the battery obviously does not have enough juice to start – more than a “click” no more. Overbridge me, it jumps immediately. Even if I connect the charger at home the Batterie is usually already after 30 min fully fit again – run charger. Now I read irgedwo something of a the capacitor of the voltage peaks should “catch” so that the batter is not so affected – Saab does not have such a thing in with 200w audio ?? Does that bring something, because I have now already the third battery in it recently…. Thank you Steve

  • Strong hum after tyre change

Hello dear SAABunity, I don’t get smart about the following thing at the moment: I drove 195 winter tires until last weekend. On the weekend I mounted 215 summer tires and since then have a buzzing while driving. Just before the traffic light (i.e. at a steady pace) it gets quite violent short, so that the turn signal lever ratters. What is that? That it rolls quite loud, I have already thought before. But after the tyre change it became my opinion much too loud. I thought I would have put the tyres on in the wrong direction of the race, but they are not available at all with these tyres, but only the indication of an outside. For information: these are Michelin Primacy. Can anyone help me?

  • Experiences with workshops – Help ask!!

( …vorpost, the story is a little longer and follows the same!) as my title reveals, I or my colleague are looking for a “reliable” SAAB workshop in southern Germany. After countless beer bottles in workshops and experts who have no idea and always only want to change control parts, I don’t want to look every morning at work in a bitter face. Please help me!! Where is a GOOD SAAB workshop?
