Good evening, I have a problem since recently (cold outside temperatures) I hear a snorting or squeaking (such as rubber on rubber, or old mattress) sound from behind when crossing unevennesses (e.g. channel lid). With increasing outside temperatures or after a long motorway ride it is quieter or not audible anymore. Shock absorbers from outside are dry, no oil outlet can be seen. The original Saab sports suspension has been fitted with level control, mileage around 11 7,000 km. Does anyone know a possible or probable cause?

New 9-5er at the IAA
Hello guys, was at the presentation of the new 9-5er at the IAA. The presentation was modest (compared to e.g. Audi), but stylish. The car has really become a ship. Front typical Saab plane leaning, back like a coupé. As a Saab fan I naturally fell in love, although objectively seen he is certainly not a design highlight. What do you think? I put a few photos (sorry, iphone camera) on it.

Uni-Fit catalysts
Hello municipality, I need your experiences again (if available ) Can someone tell me about experiences with Uni-Fit catalysts?? Ne new plant for my 6ender would beat with only 359€ to Busche (I find quite fair) however I also do not want to buy the cat in the bag and again constantly delete my error memory (see topic from 04.09). Can someone tell me about his experiences?? Already many thanks greetings from the Pütt Martin

Software update for Kenwood Navi
Small experience report on the touchscreen Navi in 9-5 to MY 04: At ebay some FORD-Navi CDs are currently offered with the status 2004/2005. With some luck I shot one for 30EUR and see: Works great! After a reset a new firmware was loaded (if you don’t have to do it, wg. the new TMC version 3 should be important – I had TMC retrofitted). So now the Saab logo is displayed at the start nict more but a KENWOOD logo (doesn’t matter). ler, which I had discovered in the neighborhood, are all fixed. So: a real alternative to the original DVD for 400€.

Who drives a Saab without any problems?
One reads here only problems problems problems about Saab. But that it can not give an objective impression, is clear to me, because there will be more of one in the forum who has a problem, than one who is completely satisfied. But in order to improve the mood of some people, I would suggest that one be posted here, who drives a Saab with first engine, turbo etc. and is completely happy…

Motor dies after starting off
Hello, my wife found out this evening after three short distances that the Check Engine lamp no longer runs out after starting. Besides, what is even worse, the car doesn’t work properly. When I start the engine, it immediately goes down again at the speed and dies off. Even if I give off soft gas. I noticed that the engine is quite hot (after about 3 kilometers all day), you can’t put your hand on it. But the temperature indicator is The thing makes me a little nervous, because I had a motor damage to this car before, but then during the ride, a short crack and that was it. This time the car starts for a short time. It is a 9-5er Bj99 with 2,0l 150Ps. I would be very happy about relevant answers and hope that it is nothing bad. mfG Jens

Engine starts warm bad
Hello, I have a small, but slowly extremely annoying problem. The engine jumps heavily in warm condition. This means that it turns – starts – then the idle speed drops and it goes out. By giving fast gas, you can prevent this, however, by now must give much more aggressive gas, than some time ago. So the damage gets worse, at first there were only slight idle fluctuations at warm start. If the engine runs, there are no problems – also no emptyness There are absolutely no problems with the cold start either. I can rule out that it is due to my gas system because it also happens in petrol operation. Furthermore, DI Box and KW sensor have been changed. Spark plugs and air filters are also new and the vacuum hoses have only recently been tested. The fault memory was only read two weeks ago and was empty – MKL does not glow. What remains now – does anyone have ideas?

SAAB 9-5 3.0 TiD Engine Damage – Help
wrote on 06.10.2009 10:02 Motortalk Moin together, I admit, this topic is not really new for the most, but for me it is unfortunately! After studying the various articles and opinions on this engine I belong without question to the category Supertrottel, but I just didn’t know it better and also did not inform me sufficiently in advance. I had a Saab 9.5 2.2 TiD and was well satisfied until someone got in the back and the car scrapped From the insurance there was money and thus I fell to the Saab dealer and there finally simply. I admit: I have no idea of cars and engines, I just sit in and drive off, go 1 time a year for inspection, care the cart neatly etc. . I bekám from the dealer offered a Saab9.5 3.0 TiD, the price was good – I paid for a 4.5 year old car with 50,000 km about 14000 € and then 2 years super satisfied with it. Great car, ru For 1 month now the car starts to bump and stumble, sometimes more times less. Was with it in the workshop, but there was just everything ok and you couldn’t find anything. Now it will be more and then I came across this forum in the motor talk on a solution search (unfortunately not 2 years ago …) If I understand this correctly is the engine “Dreck” like most write and so on. What I could not find out from the contributions so far: What do I do now with the car? On another site I read that Saab gave a warranty of 8 years for this engine, so that one gets a replacement engine if broken, is that true? Here in the forum I read something about a replacement campaign in 2008, but I have never been written by Saab this time and don’t know about it. Does that still work? I would be very grateful if someone could give me some good advice. Let me fix the car all the time (injection nozzles?..?), I see the car. to get rid of the cars (who buys a car like me?), or what are the possibilities? I wasn’t with the dealer yet, after the incident with the sale of this car I may not be very skeptical. Thank you in advance, Dirk

And again: Which xenon burners?
Hi Saabgemeinde, after having slight problems with my xenon light from the 9-5 Aero, BJ 02/2005 (detailed report: http://www.motor-talk.de/…/…9-5-and-his-leiden-t2451932.html?…), they have now changed the cable part from the control unit to the burner and the burner itself at my instruction. I don’t know if the lightning is fixed during the ride (the control unit is still left as a possibility), but what I know is that the temperate old burner Osram Xenarc 66043, Klevin ? new burner PhilipsXenon standard 85410C1, Kelvin ? I don’t find anywhere how much Kelvin the new Philips has. I think about 3000. The old Osram I think has 4150 and was so far ok. The change of temperature over longer operating life should hardly be noticeable with the new burners. That is, I drive around with two different “colors” and that’s annoying. I have a lot of fun. e hears that the replacement burners are generally yellower in contrast to the first ones due to legal changes, but there should also be burners with 5000 – 6000, which are approved. Do you know good D1S burners in the blue – white area for favorable prices from reliable sources ??? Thank you for your tips ! Greetings Heiko

GM lägger ned Saab
Hej very honoured ladies and sires with deep grief and regret I share here and today with the fact that the automobile manufacturer Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget is closed by the mother company GM in detroit. ultimately every lover and sympartisant of the brand hoped for a good end, this unfortunately without success! now saab was a quite small automobile manufacturer with its own design, epochial ideas and security-relevant achievements that made the automobile worldwide safer. m house saab came security-relevant things that everyone finds today in every x-libigen car. to name a few: the force absorbing shock rod; the durable and standard turbo in the kfz; the rear mirror with angle glass; asbest free brake linings; seating zone; seating compartment; the interior air filter for the air conditioning system; the side impact protection; headlight cleaning; personally saab was always more than just a moving object it was and remains a passion. with us up here a little more about our automobile builder in the media have been reported, but I hope that also in Germany saab has brought a bit more individualitat in the street everyday life. with deep regret my thoughts are also with those who have a declaration under the Christmas tree. these are as often the most regretful. I would be happy if one or the other gets the pleasure to express itself to the topic or a few lines of schr until then a happy Christmas and a good new year. many love greetings from the dark north
