  • Doubtful tips from saab-ersatzteile.de

Oil sludge and whistles Hello, I have found another source to my problem with the wheezing at the cold start. Here is very nice the problem with the oil, the oil sieve, the oil tank seal etc. and the effects of the well-known construction error explained UND BEBILDERT (!)http://www.saab-deutschland.de/…/saab_ersatzteile_technik_oel.htmlDue to the clarity I have moved this into a new thread..

  • to day events, how to exclude damage..?

Moin,Moin, once again to the current day events, SAAB and the “engine problem”. I’ve had a lot of (actually too much) headache in the last few days, because in the event of an engine damage of Saab I probably have no guarantee or culant to expect. 1) that with the oil change intervals and the full synthetic oil…is clear! 2) let the oil sieve look at, let engine oil pan of (possibly) residues clean.. recommendable. ..at least to look once like the current situation at me 3) to the problem with the crankshaft ventilation. a) it now affects all 9 5 he or only those from year 04? b) the problem certainly lies in the fact that the ventilation by emlusion of oil and water (due to much short-range operation and not reach the correct operating temperature) gradually increases. => Can you not also clean it or look at it in which condition it is. If you have made 1)& 2) & 3b) and everything is “tutti”… is then you vo r damage to the engine? Or is there still the problem of a possible slurry of the engine (is this the help of the Liqui Molly Motor Clean, which is filled in with old oil when changing oil and is then drained) and the resulting chain game (have I recognized the connection correctly)? Short and good, one can take precautions and then be sure that the engine holds or remains it still a “vaban game” because one does not know exactly what exactly it is gt? Would I be interested in whether I am right with my guesses about “preventive measures” or if it all doesn’t help and you can only wait and see what happens…. Greeting Konstantin

  • After Castrol 0W-30 now Helix 0W-40, does the problem?

So, following the advice of the experts here in the forum, I went today to the oil change (Mr. Wash, Munich, EUR 59,90 incl. oil filter and car wash) already 13 TKM after the last oil change and got this time not the 0W-30 but the 0W-40 filled in. The gentleman there said that this would be the same, the 0W-30 was from Castrol and the 0W-40 would be the same stop from Shell. After the car already 132 TKM I got the 0W-30 for the first time at SAAB last, probably because the car is already older (otherwise I have vo n SAAB always get the 5W-40). The question is: Is there any problem if the next 10 TKM is driven with 0W-40 ?? Or is it more or less whirling, whether 0W-30 or 0W-40 ?? Which of the two actually now in the cold season ? Thanks icarni, wiesbaden

  • Engine Updates

Hello Saabgemeinde I would have two questions about Tech 2. 1.Can you read out already installed updates with older vehicles eventuel. 2.What would this bring in my case with the 2.0l machine.Have ever heard that the engines afterwards supposedly run a little bit more economical. Is it a matter of Tech 2,I call it reader what might even print out the newly installed data after a new update?

  • Quick question: Which oil have you been driving with the oil mud (engine change)?

Hello. Would only like to know from Denen the engines changed, due to the oil mud: Which oil did you (or the workshop) use – make and type? MfG Henrik from Denmark

  • Question about Trionic 7 ECUs

Hello @ all How is it with the Trionic 7 ECUs when you send them to increase performance …. I’m lucky on eBay to buy a Trionic 7 ECU from a Saab 93 Aero with B205 R engine. Can I use this ECU, better the hardware, for my Saab with 154hp – let the ECU be equipped with the software for my car and undergo a performance increase? The hardware is certainly the same with all Trionic 7 ECUs, right?

  • Trays 3.0 TDI

Hello guys again the topic 3.0 Tdi I can understand that the topic is really annoying. But I don’t want to give up with the possibility of an AT engine! Has someone experience with repair of the engine or a rep. help. Since I would like to disassemble the possibilities and also the desire to disassemble the engine to the bone, I would be grateful about certain reperature experiences. But also an offer about a used motor I gladly accept. So let’s go with the info ́s 🙂

  • Durability Ignition cassettes T 7 (aftermarket – OEM)

Dear community, by now, T7 cassettes are also offered by the Saab part dealers known in the forum, which are significantly cheaper (up to 50%) than the original goods. Are there already long-term experiences? Greetings Jazzer2004

  • Diagnosis: Metal chips on the crankshaft sensor

Does someone know a (harmless) explanation or has idea of further problems in the direction of hope? Engine runs sufficiently round, but with power mau, down wall (as if without turbo!) performance problem can also come from leaky hoses engine ventilation and dense oil trap. Or asked the other way around: Does someone know from experience that investment in the engine is certainly not indicated? (as one must fear for the time being)

  • Saab SVC engine, what’s going on?

Hello dear Saabisti’s Did any of you ever hear of Saab’s revolutionary SVC engine (5cylinder, compressor charge, movable cylinder head) which had attracted great attention from a few years? Or did the beloved mother house GM set the red pencil and put the project back into deep sleep. Gruss Oli
