  • Gas plant and SAAB Turbo ́s

Hello people, the fuel prices are going to be bad ! I will soon take over a 9-5 year 2002/01, 150 hp 2.0 t with only 27000 km. I thought that with this car a LPG system is worth it. Who has experience with gas systems in 9-5. I am mainly concerned about the durability, since I drive about 35000 km in the year. At approx. 2500 € installation costs a system pays off already after one year. Greeting Gerd

  • Reinforced Wastegate for performance-enhancing engines

Hello, one of the basic problems with performance-enhancing engines should probably be the weak serial wastegates. From Wastegate to Wastegate there are differences, for example, you hardly notice it, but there are also cars where you can feel the pulsating feeling in full-gas driving extremely. I just came across a Wastegate from Forge, wanted to hear your opinion about it:http://www.forgemotorsport.com/content.asp?… As it is screwed, you can continue to modify (stronger spring) n) I guess it’s relatively easy to perform and you won’t have the violent can opener action (as is the case with the serial wastegates). Could it be a worthwhile purchase – what do you think? I’m afraid of the change because I don’t know exactly how to set the basic charge pressure correctly (also game or pretension etc.) – who’s clearing me up?

  • Difference 2.0 4Cyl/2.8 6 Zyl

After a few thousand kilometers with the 2.8, I find some facts that you might comment on or confirm. 1. the charge indicator in the 2.8 is less in the impact than in the 2.0. i.e. the needle moves far less, the optical bench area is very scarce. Is that so? 2. the 2.8 sings with certain touring numbers and in thrust mode. 3. the agility of the gas is identical. 4. the consumption is one litre higher at 2.8. 5. the 6 gear gear has a hole between 3th and 5th when switching down and 2th, i.e. the gearbox remains much less long in the 3rd and jumps much faster in the 2nd than in the 5th. 6th when ignition in cold condition, the 2.8 goes almost on 1500 tours and bleachs that until the activity log in. That was not so at the 2,0. Greetings from the cap

  • Wastegate, blow-off?

Hello the other day I saw in the net that, I think it was Trollspeed, a Wastegate offers for the 93. I myself have a 93 Aero of 04. Now the question: Does the 93 already have a Wastegate or Blow-Off and if no one of the two would be profitable to install? I myself lay but have read several times that Wastegates should probably be superior to the Blow-Offs. Would thank for information PS another question: Does the 93 like the Vectra also have an electric accelerator? MFG

  • Question about chain tensioners from a newcomer

Hello everybody, my wife and I want to look at a 9-5 of 2000 with the 2.3 L 170hp engine over the next week. Running speed approx. 160,000km Since I have very little experience with control chains, I have read in here a bit. Can I check the chain tensioner somehow at the used car check? This is currently the only crux point of our uncertainty. Greeting from Lake Constance Thorsten

  • Ignition lock is jammed! OYE

Hola alle. Hello. A few days ago my daughter poured juice in the ignition lock. When I take out the keys no longer jump the cylinder upwards. Remote control no longer works; so everything manually with the bowl. Has someone had similar experience? What can I do? Greetings to the outside.

  • Oil sludge – disappointment !!

Here is a short report on the problem of oil sludge: 2 years ago a clogged oil sieve was found at about 60,000 km. Until then new oil every 20,000 km. So clean oil pan, clean oil sieves and complete control chain, since already worn out. From there oil always new every 10,000 km. Mobile 1 !!No short distances, no full-gas drivers (max. 160 km/h) Driving performance per year: 40,000 km, i.e. 4x oil per year !! Now at 140,000 km: oil sieves too, oil tank full with oil coke !!!!!! m motor damage over. Will say: Don’t be sure that even with 10,000 oil changes, no short-distance rides and no full-speed tours this problem does not reappear. Contrary to many opinions here, the oil problem with the shorter oil change intervals is solved!! Best regards BePi 9.5 2,0 LPT. Mj. 01

  • Rough engine run

Have the following problem: … had a service done with oil change and from 5W30 GM on mobile 1 0W40 “oiled”, air filter was also exchanged. Apart from that the service almost a 1/2 to 3/4 liters put in too much, which we then pumped again after about 30 km of city trip, the current oil level at maximum. After the oil change (which now does not necessarily have to be cause…) the following symptoms: 1) rougher, louder motor run than with the 5W30 2) quiet hissing in the mo 4) light oil moisture at the rear of the transmission bell (i.e. from the rope fork to the spray wall downwards, but now no crowds, it doesn’t drip) 5) at this point I’m not sure if that’s not the case – if it’s cold, stand gas at almost 1000 rpm, after 3 min drive 800U/min (with corresponding drop to 600 rpm to paa r seconds, for example, at the traffic lights). So far he didn’t have that, that when he was cold, he had increased revolutions in the stationary gas (he always had 800 rpm before). … what could there have been – it doesn’t clack anything, and my wife wouldn’t have noticed it at all – but I did. Can it be that they’ve put a software update on me? Was there one for the SC 2006 9.3 II gasoline? Can’t it all really rub it all together for me. Could it be that he’s pulling the wrong air somewhere? mmering? injectors? Ask for tips Thank you

  • 2.3t (LPT) – Driving characteristics

Hello together I have seen – once again – a nice, really nice 9-5 (Sportcombi / Arc / 2.3t / Automatik). On this occasion I would be happy if you could tell me about your experience with this engine/gear combination. I am particularly interested in speed level, switching characteristics and also consumption. Thank you very much!

  • Ignition bells

Have a question to all 9-5 Aero drivers. I’ve been having the problem for a long time that when driving with 95 octan fuel the engine starts ringing, a sogenant acceleration ringing. This is best to stop when you have the window open and speed up at a wall or hedge. Since actually shouldn’t be with the T7, and I haven’t heard that in my active Saab screwdriver time I just put the question into the room. Have already tried the DI cash register. With Super Plus, the ringing is gone. Greetings from Passau
