  • Citroen quality in view of low prices/resale prices

Hello everyone, I am not a Citroen driver, at the latest since a visit of the AMI together with there performed test drives with C4 and C6 however I am the brand much more open-minded What gives me to think, however, are the currently extremely low selling prices, at least for the C2-C4 models. Even with a Citroen NL directly you get on the vehicles between 2 and 4000 EUR discount, and that without even having entered into price negotiations. In Germany, for example, between 22 and 25% discount on new cars, no day registrations and no reimportation. Both the intermediary and the Jütten-Koolen will earn something from the brokering business as well as the supplying German Citroen dealer. Thus, one can buy a sparkling new C4 there in the basic equipment for 10,400 EUR, as much as the entry model of a new polo in about currently The C2s are available from just over 8,000 EUR. For the customer, these are certainly very good prices, but I ask myself seriously whether a comparable good quality can still be produced at these prices, especially since the profit margins in the compact class are anyway lower as with the Cash Cows middle and upper middle classes. In the industry, PGA is regarded as a strong cost braker and allegedly invests with the strongest thumbscrews at the suppliers in Europe. Under these prices, the prices of used cars continue to go into the basement, because on the one hand, the price difference for young used cars is almost no longer available compared to new vehicles, on the other hand, the prices for multi-year used cars are certainly also affected. The importer, on the other hand, wants to increase his sales figures by such actions, but must also be interested in the structure of prices, especially in terms of the contract My somewhat perplexed thoughts are not meant provocatively. I am rather perplexed whether I should find this development mainly positive or negative. One can certainly observe the dumping-price-development at Citroen for a long time. As soon as the C4 had hatched fresh, there were already the first 3-4000 EUR promotions. Good discounts are today the key to the buyer with almost every brand, but as extreme as with Citroen the IMHO at kei I would be interested in your opinions, especially those of Citroen drivers, on this subject. How did you deal with this when buying? Finally, you want to purchase a vehicle that should have long-term qualities and can be brought at a good price as a used vehicle to the man/wife. • CIT Cheap Brand

Hello! I’ve been a CIT driver for 17 years, unfortunately Citroen goes back to the roots. Had 2 BX-satisfied,3Xantia-satisfied, a C5 and then started with the problems. Purchased me totally unnerved a Picasso HDI 2.0 90 hp and it got worse. one problem followed the other. Now I tested a Picasso 1.6i,109 Ps gasoline (new car) and what is it? On the box stood on 3000 tours and away from the gas – end pot it snaps and scrapes a joy. That is clear quality loss the a uch the subcontractors you have to test!!! Too bad because I always liked to drive a CIT. mfg Franz

  • Fuel consumption – lawn with regret

Petrol consumption: lawn with remorse From speed 120 on, not only does the emission of pollutants increase, but also the fuel consumption. Measurements by TÜV Nord led to surprising results. Plusminus tested it and put it on the Internet. Exciting for the Citroen community: The Saxo is the only Citroen after the dirty sling PT Cruiser is the number two among the bad guys. For me it’s exciting: I didn’t know that you had to cool with petrol … Go somehow g you look here: http://www.daserste.de/…/beitrag_dyn~uid,wyoaxe1fxedpm2gg~cm.asp And here: http://stat.wdr.de/…/06/0307_Emissions of pollutants.pdf

Hello together, I am currently driving a 2.1 TD Xantia Break Bj 96 with 207,000 Km on the clock. Unfortunately, there are soon coupling and winter of the heaters. He already has new spring balls brakes Tüv and main cooler.Actually he is still quite ok but you are always afraid it could happen again, what would you do, have it repaired (are probably 1500 to 18oo€) or repel and maybe buy a last Xantia Bj 01. I would like to talk about your Me inungen Rejoicing. Greetings Gattling

  • Power pair mode and rear axle pins

Hello together, I know the topic I had before. But I get annoyed at my C4 PIC (EGS6 Excl.) that after a relatively short time (between 5 and 15 minutes) the energy pair mode activates. ;-( The resuscitation of the desired systems is then only possible by starting. Is there really no way to disable this function? I can not even invite a pearl into the autokino, or then the sound falls out after a few minutes. But since I am not sure about it, I can’t be safe. nn, until then to be able to do without sound, …. 😉 But I have a great cinema front disc sooooo. No, fun aside. I would like to decide for myself when my radio etc. should turn off, even at the risk of needing a starter. Where is the button to deactivate this function???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????. I have the great Excl. variant with the hydrated rear axle. I had always remembered Citroen as “butter soft”. In another Tread there was talk of some false sockets that were installed. But there was also a lot of the term “sweeping rear axle”. Did someone also have this driving poltergeist and got an answer about it from Citroen? My PIC is by the way 05/2007 and as said the 135-er Diesel EGS6 Exclusive and I still have the Xenons, the Hifipacket and the safety package given. 😉 Thank you very much for your answers. Greetings

  • Engine off–> Tacho shows 170 km/h

Hello guys, have a problem with my speedometer. Engine is off and speedometer shows at once 170 km/h. If I then drive is 170 the 0 point. i.e. if I drive 50 shows the 210. the needle trembles then always a few times. A few days ago the speedometer needle is hung at 0 no matter how fast I was. Then I removed it and turned it on the arrow. Then it went again. Now spins again. Please help me. What can you do there? Except new speedometer. Thank you in advance Citroen C5 Bj.2 002 HDI 2.2

  • Citroen ZX Bj 93 How reliable are they?

Since my Corsa has engine damage and can’t be done that well worth it in the first time another car… I didn’t want to spend much and see the Citroen ZX are relatively cheap…. Only you can always hear bad problems with the electrics and with the Tüv defect statistics Final lights… it would be a Citroen ZX 1.4 75ps bj93 with 140TKM on the clock and 2 years Tüv and Asu was allegedly much replaced (also tooth strap etc.) so practically by a small black repairing the screwdriver workshop… can you spend 700-750€ on it if it’s still good with TÜV etc. or is that way too much? (should look good no rust well, etc….) Are the things you hear more prejudices or are the things really that bad? So mechanical (braking + hoses, dampers, exhausts….) cover parts and so I can change everything myself if there should be something…. just all the electrical problems you always hear…or motor damage n I’m not trying to do that… does a sone box leave me in the sting after 1-2tKM or is it still relatively reliable? Oh and which tyre size is entered in the bill at nem ZX 1.4 bj 93? 14 inches or 13 inches? because I still have 4 165-70-R13 winter bikes lying around

  • On the motorway the engine goes off briefly…

Hello guys. I bought a Citroen Xsara 1.8i. Built 2000 “Millenium” the car for 2 weeks. Today I bought spark plugs, air filters, oil filters, oil, gasoline filters and will install it in the next days. My problem is: the engine sometimes goes off on the highway at short notice and then it ignites again. 3 days ago the engine went off at the traffic light, just wanted to call the ADAC there it went on again. Yesterday the same, the car goes off and wait after 2-3 minutes Can s be what with the ignition? So old spark plugs? The tank is always full. Please for feedback. Thank you and Gruss Felix
