  • Crankshaft housing clogged! Now engine damage !! Picasso!

Hello, another short question: In December my Picasso suddenly received the warning message: Oil pressure too low, stop immediately!! I also did this: The oil measuring rod was out and the oil was distributed everywhere in the engine compartment and below. Citroen workshop of my trust in the place now suspects from the engine’s wash: COLBENFRESSER! Question: The whole story is still in court because of warranty. (An Audi VW dealer) Next week an expert looks at this. Is the crankshaft housing ventilation slowly approaching, or does it go from one week to the other, that it is sitting and something like that happening? Citroen suspects that this is a possible cause…..! But the expert has the last word. If something like this has been going on for some time, then I would have of course Chansen that it is said that the trigger of the oil loss and the resulting engine damage could have passed already at handover (purchase) of the vehicle. nze, when I had the car 9 months and had driven 4000 km. But far before I had already had massive engine problems passed on over my lawyer. And also that the car runs out occasionally during the ride. But the car dealership wanted to say nothing out of court. That’s why I sued her then…! So it would be nice if it was assumed that the beginning of the whole drama was already hidden when the car was handed over! Is there someone who gives me courage??

  • C1 – Oil change

Hello guys, I have been the owner of a new C1 for a good month Now my question to you: From which KM stand should I make the first oil change? I have such a number of 2500 km in mind, but don’t know if this is true. and my 2nd request – where can I have the oil change made? Do I have to go to the contract workshop because of warranty ect. or does it work at ATU – the currently oil change offer for 1 € + oil costs? Thank you for your help and reviews! M atthias

  • Engine temperature 70°C & in case of rain fogged windows.

Hi ) The temperature indicator always shows 70°C, sometimes after a long ascent (only in summer) sometimes 80°C, rarely 90°C at mountain ascents (also only in summer). The air blower in front of the cooling ribs works normally, i.e. normal wind noises when the car is standing, so inconspicuously. But some times in the high summer/Turkey the two blowers were so loud that one could think, there is just a plane starting, whether the car was driving or standing. I have so much noise already in the G This was probably because the heat indicator exceeded the 100°C limit, because cooling water was missing. Whenever cooling water was missing (a hole had) they became enormously loud like a launching plane. Could it be that these 2 blowers can blow air at double speed? Dumb question, I’ve experienced, but I want to know the certainty. Ok, only if you drive up the mountain for a long time, even if it’s hell heat outside, was Wun I drive Citroen Xantia X1, 121 hp, 2,0i, automatic/climate. The frontal protection screen attacks immediately in case of rain. Only when I turn on the climate, windows are released. When I steer the air to the windshield, there is very little air out there, although the blower is at the highest level. What’s going on? I thank you for any answers in advance. Marko.

  • FAP 110 or better FAP 135!?!

Hello C4 municipality! Now I really have a decision problem! Last week I was allowed to drive the C4 Coupe of a friend with 135 Diesel HP as described above. Well my test is now that I really loved the 110 Ps version, but I’m not really sure anymore. I know that many people will say it again now I have to make the decision alone or my wallet! If we now pretend that money doesn’t matter, I have to make the decision! , and as profane things like consumption or more weight are irrelevant, how would you decide. So more with your stomach or heart than with your head! Oh yes my favorite was the C4 Limosine with FAP 110 and VTR+ equipment so far.As I said so far! I hope for a lively participation in this discussion. Gruss Robert

  • Meeting in Dortmund

Hello C4 community, the meeting today in Dortmund with Kaiser-Wetter was very interesting for me. We were with 4 Coupe’s and 3 Limo’s at the meeting point. There were very nice people here from the forum also with attachment as well as friends. They had a good conversation and exchange. For the first time we had a lot to talk about and of course also to listen. Well, what was unfortunately completely forgotten over the hours were photos of Allen and a small C4 Corso through Dortmund. I greet all C4 drivers from the meeting and thank you for the beautiful Sunday. Greetings from Oberhausen c4-limo

  • RD4 with Bluetooth

Hello together. Can anyone give me an info about the Bluetooth module for the RD4 ? My dealer can only tell me what the module costs – he unfortunately has no further documents. How is the module connected? Via the CAN bus or directly to the RD4 ? Does someone have a photo of the part ? Thank you very much for your help.

  • Tires extra consumption enormous !

Hello to each other Have found something strange, far more than the 5% claims of the specialist dealers Already after that it mounts much of the first kilometers on the BC of the Cit Xsara Picasso 1.6i ! Previously tires Michel EnergySaver 6years old, still about 20% profile 6.5litres Super. With factory new winter tires, 8 liters Super, even at almost 0.7bar more inside. As a little warmer even 8.5litres with the soft winter flaps became. Now again the 20% profile summer Michel EnergySaver on it, again by 6 liters Super. In the past, modern tires seem to have been optimized for increased consumption, reduced service life and more soil adhesion. Those who drive wisely and understand physical principles do not necessarily need these energy-depleting rubber compounds. The first ABS vehicles also had the statistically most accidents, which is why the insurance companies cut the discount of 10%, and increased contributions. That is almost the vie I think if the EnergySaver is new, it consumes more again. But that the difference in consumption can be so big, I would not have thought now. Can it be that it is the lower consumption on special tires, by far greater than the only < 5% which are claimed ? And they always calculate the extra costs ? I am strongly considering whether I make the same on it again. Greeting Hubert71

  • To all saxo drivers: My experience on the highway

Hello, this is my first post at the Citroen Forum. But I will probably not forget my saxo experience so quickly, because I was impressed. I had to do research with M. yesterday to Stendal, to youth. We decided to drive the highway, A2. M. drives a saxo, 1st generation, 1.0, 45hp. Only modding is a good sport exhaust. So we drive on the train. I was on the road in Puma. So the train was free “hacked gas” nothing in the way. The saxo drives ahead. He was occupied with 3 people and loaded well. At 150 I am looking for the last time at the tacho. 150. I am amazed, and think of my Ka. A little later, on the radio “Angel” by Shaggy my passenger said to me: “Flo, the M. has only 45hp”. I: “Yes, why”? “Look at the tacho” I watch and thought I dream!!!! The saxo, whose distance to me certainly did not change, rolled my tacho with just under 180 KLAMOTTEN in front of me. the very exact speedometer from the Navi. It shows max. 171. I don’t know how to do it with a $5 saxo! At my Ka is at Tacho 160 end. Hereby I express my awe towards Citroen! Respect!!! @M. : If you read this, then be sure, on the next screwdriver meeting there is an extra beer for it!!! I completely impress Flo wishes a nice evening!
