  • Citroen ZX 1.4 Bj 93 Performance problem

Greetings. I’m new here and I’m asking you for help. I used the search function and so far did not find a problem that really coincides with mine. I’ve been picking up my ZX for a month now and I picked up the part from Austria. On the trip I didn’t notice any problems, however, when then 2 weeks later the tank needle tilted over half to a quarter it started with the problems. Again and again I had the problem that while driving a n power failure up to 0, which I got control of at the beginning by “pumping” with the accelerator pedal again and thus I got back my power. Unfortunately, these dropouts took to the less I had in the tank. Up to now the car could drive at most until the reserve light started. During the drive to the petrol station about 3km I had to stop 5 times, because the “pump” did not work anymore and the engine simply went out while driving. And the car jumped up again immediately and had full speed. So it was noticeable that the problem only occurred in gears 4 and 5 mainly. So now at the petrol station fully fueled and see there, the power is back again. Unfortunately it then started again after reaching half of the fuel level with the power loss. I have now replaced the fuel filter (no change) , checked the air filter and the petrol pump once looked at. Contacts and everything still sees On the advice of a buddy I also drilled a small hole in the tank lid to guarantee the tank ventilation and ventilation. In the tank is also enough The car also has only 60,000 down and is in itself in a well-kept condition. I wonder what can cause this power loss. The petrol pump is just my greatest attention, and I wonder to what extent the pump can have to do with the fuel level. I just don’t understand the interplay of level, 4th and 5th gear while accelerating and loss of power.

  • Citroen c8 Engine problems

Hello friends I could despair, because I bought a c8 with just 46000 km lt seller consumption between 7 and 8 liters on 100. that didn’t work from the beginning. So I got into the workshop consumption and performance (max. 10 to 160 quite fast, then yawn after 8 km times the 170 or just over (yawn again) so I expected more lt vehicle data should be 182. The workshop found a hose the first time v the turbocharger was defective. The second time it renewed an injection nozzle, which probably had wrong values. Unfortunately no change, I now drove again 200km of which half short distance the other long distance about every time so 30 km before the long distance consumption lt BC 11,7 liter/100 after the 200 km then refuelled calculated consumption 10,75 l/100. I now need information from other c8 riders, to the data it is a 2.2 l HDI with 128 hp Bj 2003 47000km. i.e. the seller has cut me over the ear, please ask for a few dates what need currently the same vehicles or if an expert is there, what is going on with the engine, probably both defects have the same cause. Need a few tips or factual usages. Still so much to my driving style I drive as a business car a T5 TDI by 1.9l with 2.5 tons weight in urban traffic with about 9l/100.

  • Citroen C1 + scrapping premium = practically impossible!

Hello. After Citroen advertises that the Citroen C1 is available in standard version less the scrapping premium already from 5490 euros, I went to some Citroen dealers and wanted to buy such a C1 as a replacement for my wife’s AX. However, this is practically impossible, as such C1 is currently not available. So I would have to order such a vehicle, accept the delivery time of about 3 months and whether then still money in the pot of the federal government for the premium i I will try my luck at FIAT and see if they can deliver us a panda immediately – and in standard version. Personally, I don’t believe in it and feel easily ridiculed by the manufacturers. Greetings VG

  • I almost dare not ask this, engine frozen, thawed, nothing is happening.

This is a call for help! I drive (drive???) a Citroen ZX Break, and I love it very much (have it????). 3 days ago I wanted to leave it on, but the engine gnawed strangely and didn’t jump on. Then my father and I dragged the car into the workshop to let it thaw and put better antifreeze in the cooling water, since the previous obviously had not done its service(-18°C). Today it was agreed that I could pick it up, but when I a When the workshop arrived, the owner told me that there was nothing to save on the vehicle, there was no “compression” anymore. It was probably something bursting in the engine due to the expansion of the ice. Now I want to know: What exactly can have happened? And what, if at all, can you do about it without changing the engine or buying another car? I’m a layman as far as KFz mechanics and the like are concerned, but I don’t think this problem is more cost-effective. I thank you in advance for all the answers, would be very connected if someone could help me.

  • Film dissolves

Hey Loide, at the detachment of the middle air nozzles in the dashboard this foil detachs itself. Directly at the breakthroughs for warning turn signals and door locking. Is it only on the decor vein that is also on other decors like that. I have this carbon similar. The car is only a few weeks old and these places are not overly touched or nibbled. Sure, the friendly will fix it on guarantee, I have no worry. I will ask him if he with some kula nz this “Alu brushed” jumps, that seems more massive to me than this foil. Is there just ́ne stupid corner there at this probe, there is certainly not such a foil without great effort. Is this known or did I just get a “bad” part?

  • Test drive Citroen C-Crosser

Hello and a good evening. Today it was finally time. I was one of the first to drive the new C-crosser as Exclusive HDI 155 FAP. One way forward: When SUV from Mitsu, Peugeot, Citroen, then Citroen and Peugeot. So: Before discussions arise: Since it was a demonstrator, he has everything you can dream of; e.g. leather, xenon, NaviDrive and a sound system Rockford Fosgate.New price: over 42ts. Chapter 1: Driving and comfort + The diesel from PSA is very quiet. + The driving performance ( according to the factory) are good (9,9 sec on 100; maximum speed 200kmh) + the steering is very direct + the circuit precise + the creamy comfort Chapter 2: space for man and dog + plenty of space for man and dog + very flexible – very confusing – complicated operation of the NaviDrives – As 7 seater little space for luggage Chapter 3: equipment and quality + very much equipment + good workmanship & quality – little extra accessories to have (Navi, sliding roof & metallic) Chapter 4: safe & Clean + Very good safety equipment + (Naturally) standard particulate filter – quite high consumption (10.8 liters according to the on-board computer) Chapter 5: How is the price? – Very expensive – Fragile value maintenance – high insurance rating My conclusion: respect Citroen. The 1st off-road vehicle is what for the family with a lot of comfort, safety and a powerful diesel. Unfortunately only from 33.59€! Lg your “call”

  • AX Bj 93 Starting difficulties

Hello together.. Got there a little problem with the AX Bj 93 33kw of my sister-in-law. Short history: Morning car tries to start without success. Was only a quick clacking from the engine room to hear. Error found in the fuel pump relay. Plug from rest was with clackers. So old relay out 2 days ago, today new relay worried at Fiat (the from the Ullysee also fit in, same switched, same connection. same part number) and in the car with it. g I had with it : The clacking was gone and the relay switched on normally. Now to my actual problem: Shouldn’t there be a (if I remember correctly) brown motor control lamp shining when switching on the ignition?? If so, what is it that does not light up and the engine does not start. Battery is good, 4 fuses in the engine compartment IO, fuses left fuse box IO, starter rotates diligently but I miss this control lamp of the E injection system, the buzzing of the fuel pump and the starting of the engine. If any of you can help me (circuit diagrams or similar) or give tips please post. Thanks already in advance. Greetings mirical1

  • High transverse acceleration with hydropneumatic citroes possible?

Hi Citroenfreunde, with the Xantia Avtiva Citroen once had a model on offer which, thanks to a special hydraulic construction, almost completely undercut any lateral inclination of the body. This vehicle was capable of extreme transverse accelerations of up to 1.2 g. A dimension, in which a Ferrari F 40 reaches, but sporty saloons far miss. Although the current Hydrative suspensions cannot prevent the transverse inclination, as the AFS in a Xantia Activ a, but they can still effectively reduce them. However, in the test reports of our German automobile magazines hydractive Citroen always do much worse in curvy courses than the competition, which is equipped with unregulated steel suspensions. What is the reason for this? Is this due to the test drivers, to whom the hydraulic suspension suggests a soft steel suspension, why they dare not drive through the curves quickly. Or are the possible lateral accelerations the current hydraulic suspensions actually lower than those of the steel-sprung competition? Greetings, HIPPO
