I live in Switzerland in hilly terrain, and often also ride on snow and ice in the mountains on weekends. So far I have had very good experiences on snow. Only the great torque of the diesel makes time and again to start on the mountain, especially with hangers, a little more difficult (turning forward wheels), here an AWD desired 🙂 I think that the long wheelbase and the weight distribution of the 7-platter contribute a lot to the neutral driving behaviour on snow.
