  • Side difference after lowering

After one day (about 100km) I measured my 500 with the Eibach ProKit (30/30) lower. That’s okay, but I’ve got 10mm difference between right and left. On the right it’s 40mm lower, on the left it’s almost 50mm lower. Is this going to work with the time and then it’s the same, or did they build shit? With the spring quality of Eibach, it seems strange to me, especially the difference between right and left. In the measurement, the car was unloaded and I also did the counter-test at different parking positions in order to exclude terrain influence.

  • which engine oil for 500L twin air?

The car of my friend needs about 0.5 liters of oil at 1500 km. Is that normal?. I drive another factory and this consumption seems a bit much to me. How is the exact designation of the right oil for the 500 L ? What alternatives are there ? And another question: the oil level is difficult to read on the amber measuring rod. Is there a trick here ? I have seen that the installer in the workshop rubs the lower measuring area with something like chalk so that the oil level becomes more visible. Rudi

  • 2008 automatic gearbox defective – good workshop in Aschaffenburg/ Frankfurt wanted

Hello, my sister has an odyssey with her 2009 automatic Fiat 500 behind her … After 4 workshops – some of which meant no problem, we could do – she has now landed at Fiat Frankfurt. They want to have 4200 euros for a defective clutch with control module – that is the complete Waaaahnsinn … Is this normal or does someone know a good workshop in this area, which also gets it at a reasonable price? Greetings, Jens

  • 500C roof broken

Hello together, at my FIAT 500C, BJ 2011, the roof completely said goodbye. The guide rods have gone out of the anchors and there is a hopeless mess, where once there was a folding roof. The workshop calls for about 7,500,-€. This is an economic total damage. Can you perhaps rework a roof of a 500C (e.g. with engine damage) on mine? Does someone have to have experiences or knows someone who can do something like that? I am absolutely no screwdriver and live in Münsterland. I would be very grateful about tips.

  • Fiat 500 Cabrio 2023

With a Fiat 500 convertible, the cover no longer closes completely. Is there any experience about it or also correction of defects?? Fiat first puts his hands in the lap and knows nothing about it. Thank you for your info ́s

  • Version System and Navi database

Hello, we bought a 500C MJ 2023 from the dealer this spring. The car also has the UConnect 7 with TomTom Navi. The version of the map material seems relatively old to me. I always know that this is behind, but so far? The material is according to info: Europe v1095.11585 (published 07/2022) I also have an application version 14800.3378591.4227 on the device. Do you have /is there something more up-to-date? I also ask, because I did not find a lot on the device, for example this Eco-Spar app. In addition, we had the problem that the Navi went from a completely wrong location (when the navigation suddenly occurred).

  • Different brake discs and pads

Hi, I wanted to completely renew my front brakes (dishes + pads).Backside are drum brakes.Vehicle is a 10/2016, 1.2 69hp (Facelift) Lounge There are two different versions in the accessories for the discs: 240mm and 257mm Is that right that the Facelift models have the large brake discs from 2015 onwards, i.e. 257mm?Are there also different brake pads?If so, what would be the difference with the Facelift models from 2015 on?Do you generally have to pay special attention to the brake change? Which manufacturers would you recommend? Thank you for your answers and experiences!

  • Is Fiat 500 recommended as a fun car for larger people (>190 cm)?

I want to buy a fun car and it should be relatively small. The lower limit that I can accept is Fiat 500, actually Abarth 595 (the normal version, not Turismo or others). There is one problem: I am relatively large (192 cm) and therefore not sure if I have enough bursts in it (especially headroom). I know that the setting of the seats in height is extremely reduced at Abarth. And another thing that bothers me is that you have the Len before a test drive, however, I would like to know what experiences you have with it. I will buy the car again, but the branch is far away from me and I have to be sure that it is worth my time first. Unfortunately, I am not convinced about other small fun cars: Clio, Seat, Fiesta, Polo etc. Not the money is the problem, otherwise the quality of the interior, extremely deficient with many of you.

  • 500c, brake discs down after 50tkm?

The Luigi of my wife is just for a 4-year inspection in the workshop. That the brake pads have to be new in the back was clear to me. But now the workshop says that the windows in the back also have to be new!? And the whole fun (inspection plus brakes in the back complete) should cost about 1,000€ (without TÜV mind). Of all other vehicles I know this actually so that one can drive with a set of disks 2 sets of pads. And that the discs hold 100-120tkm, at the back rather longer. I’ve asked you to keep the windows and present them to me tomorrow. I’m curious to see how they come to 1,000€. The windows and coverings are very cheap for the 500’er (<100€), even branded goods (Brembo et al.). Greetings Tom

  • Fiat 500 Automatic does not turn up when starting

Hello, I recently bought a Fiat 500 automatic, built in 2019. The car does not turn up when starting up and stays in 1 gear, manual switching is not possible. If I turn the car off and on again it works again and the car switches without problems. The problem only occurs when the car is standing for a few hours. I was already in different workshops and no one can help me. Mistakes have been read out, apparently there are no. White long Sam really not further, depending on where I stand it can also become a real problem if I have to stop and the car has to restart. ???
