  • Ducato 250 , no diesel pressure

Hello together, I’m in despair with my Duc. Two weeks ago my Ducato changed the head gasket. So far so good, everything was built together properly and tightened with torque. Fuel system ventilated and after a good half hour the engine then ran as well. Now to my problem : 1 day later : Front again built together, cooling water in it and wanted to run the good piece warm but nothing happened, engine rotates, but does not start…. No chance, with start pilot it starts and you can keep it alive. What was done : Error read out but no error stored fuel truck measured, according to tester fluctuating between 400-700 bar, so too little leak oil checked but almost no leak oil on all 4 cylinders injectors incorrectly mounted around, so that they get into free splashing but there is not 1 tropice All fuses checked was a 40A fuse in the engine room, believe F08, defective was also exchanged but no change high pressure pump replaced again exactly the same, too little pressure cable from donors and injectors is measured by I don’t want to be able to jump all the tank.

  • 2.8 JTD time change (Ducato 244)

Hello together, someone has a benchmark for the change of injector ? My daughter is just stuck with a corresponding damage abroad and has the feeling that the workshop “right” reaches. On the Rechng. are three hours. The price for the original part is probably so far ok. Gruss Jazzer2004

  • Fiat Ducato air conditioning – current maintenance costs against re-initiation costs after many years

When buying a motor home based on Fiat Ducato Maxi, Bj 2019, I was forced to use a manual air conditioning system (on the engine). This so-called air conditioning system is nothing more than a cold compressor operated by the running engine. I don’t need the cooling. I had 30 years of my old Hymermobil based on Peugeot J5, Bj 1989. I didn’t sell this spare parts mainly because of the fear. axi, Bj 2019 I will drive until I can’t anymore. As I’m probably older than 30 years, but hopefully many more years. My idea is to remove the drive belt from the engine to the cold compressor and thus put the air conditioning out of function. I know that almost everything that is not used for a long time is broken by the long non-use. Note: Usually a camper stands around most of the time and is only possible on a few days of the year. With me (without Corona!) about 10,000 km a year. I am aware that a Fiat Ducato with defective “air conditioning” is not available for sale or only at a lower price. So I have to compare the costs of the necessary maintenance and “as well as the related repair costs with the “repair costs” after many years of absolute standstill. If someone has experience of the costs of the necessary maintenance and “as well as the resulting costs of repair”. I am aware that such costs are either an individual case or an average value for experience. What would be the cost of a “reinstatement” (reinitiation) after 15 years (after today’s prices)? I would like to thank you for hints, tips and ideas.

  • Fiat Ducato Windscreen wiper spins

Servus, my Fiat Ducato 250 box van with 160 Multijet engine has a problem with the windscreen wiper. No matter what weather, when I turn on the windscreen wiper, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Often it is that when it runs from the very beginning, it suddenly fails. I then turned around at the control lever and so on, but it didn’t work. That’s why I let the lever on level three until sometime after a few minutes of the windscreen wiper starts to wipe. To say in summary that if the wiper works, I can choose all the steps. The engine also runs when it runs but I really don’t know what it is that the wiper often doesn’t work. Had jmd this problem and can tell me if it’s on the engine or relay, or k.a what?

  • Fiat Ducato 280

Hello, we bought a Duc 280 as a camper a few weeks ago. Did everything without any problems. Only a brake lamp at the rear right was defect, so back tail light off and new bulb in, on the left side also immediately changed the bulb, lights again on and then when braking and blinking left flashed then the indicator lamp for fog lamp in the blinker clock and indicator in the rear flashing out and brake light flashed. Right side everything normal. So lamp at the back off, and the problem was strangely fixed. Then did a tour, on the way back blower failed. But don’t find the connection where I could measure what is broken there. And since a few days the control light for the passing light does not work anymore, however, all the headlights are on when I turn on, the instrument lighting no longer works as well. Light bulbs in the speedometer unit are all ok. What could that be again? Does he have some kind of electrical problem?

  • Solid oil also 1L oil on 10km

Hello, I am Kalle and new here in the forum and hope you can help me. I have a Ducato 230 2.8 id.TD, year 2000 and when driving, as soon as the engine is warm a massive oil consumption from 1l to 10km. But from the beginning: I bought the camper from a workmate with engine damage (suddenly occurred oil loss as described above). From his workshop the cylinder head was already dismantled and tested by the repairer, as well as valve shaft seals replaced and head plan. Since all cylinder running surfaces looked great and the complete mocking tracks were still to be seen, I changed the piston rings + pleul bearings straight away and built everything together again. However, the oil consumption did not improve. The engine is completely dry from below and no smoke comes out of the exhaust. There is also no oil in the cowl water. As a result I changed the turbo and the crankshaft housing ventilation but also that did not bring any improvement. In the meantime, I burned 15 litres of oil with the car! It’s also warm and cold. In my opinion, all that comes to mind is that it burns the oil. Either over the piston rings or through a crack. But is it even possible that an engine runs normally with this oil consumption and does not emit smoke at the back? By now, I’m really helpless and would be grateful for every tip where d the oil could still go there. Thanks in advance Kalle

  • Mass problem Ducato 280

Hello everyone, I’ve been working on an ’87 Fiat Ducato with RV set-up, but it has some electrical problems. There have already been a lot of people messing with it, so that everything is really full of lustre clamps, I’m now about to straighten the story from the ground up, also the fuse box was jammed and has to be rewired. I already have light and such jokes running again, but the fan control and the like are still waiting. nd schematics or similar to the sweetheart? Or maybe a lot of idea so I can take a few tips? Thank you.. Kai [translated by Motor-Talk from the topic ‘Fiat Ducato I Electric Questions’.]

  • Fiat Doblo 1.9 JTD loses extremely oil

Hello guys and girls I have a little problem with my friend’s box. It’s a Fiat Doblo, BJ 2001, 1.9 JTD, 63 HP and 225000. We bought the car 2 weeks ago from Private, who had driven the Dicken only 2 weeks. They had no idea of cars and although the Doblo has fresh TÜV, the complete front axle – i.e., carrying joints, cathedral bearings and track rod heads on both sides – was not only over, but completely on the Ar… (at d d) I would like to thank the professional Tüvmann Well, we did that in any case and now a completely new mistake brewed up: After the Doblo was finished, we drove with him as a pack car (so he was also well loaded) to the JDM meeting, from us 750 km a distance. And quickly noticed that the good not only consumes oil, but oil FRISST!!! When we were back home (i.e. about 1500 km) we had a little more than 10 liters of refilled. ! It’s a good thing that he doesn’t really eat oil now, because the typical blue smoke doesn’t come out of the exhaust, so I looked under it today. Oil drops can be seen on the gearbox, but I don’t think that the 10 liters make up, right??? Oil pan and drain screw are completely dry. I’ve just cleaned everything up and then I want to see where it comes from, but maybe one of you already had this problem or experience? say and wish you dear greetings from the sunny Eifel! Greetings, Vreni
