  • Air conditioning shuts down after a few minutes when outside temperature is approx. 25°C

Hello together, For some time now the air conditioning of the Musa 2007 1.3 Multijet 90 HP is switched off when the outside temperature is very high. Sorry the question also in the FIAT forum because Musa and IDEA are almost identical. The 2-zone air conditioning goes on convection air and stays there. After a few minutes wait the air conditioning can be restarted (see the running belt wheel). Climate service was carried out to ensure the correct coolant level. The workshop said it w äre the compressor – costs in CH approx. CHF 1200 for the compressor (which I can’t believe). Who knows the topic ? Think it might be due to the dryer, pressure switch or sunlight sensor, as the compressor runs at least 10 minutes without problems.

  • Fiat Punto, workshop service and too small battery

Hello, I have a little problem and since I don’t have much idea of cars myself (typical woman just ), I hope that someone can answer my question here. Actually, the problem is more or less solved, I would only like to have opinions about it. And this is about the following: I bought a used, 11-year-old Fiat Punto from a workshop in September 2014. Had only 58 000km and many was new. Now I had problems already in December with the battery: there were problems at the start and I had to start my car once, so in the second gear roll down the mountain and let the clutch come. When I then went to the workshop it was said that it was nothing, only the battery would weaken a little bit, but not enough to do something. Now I wanted to drive to work last week, then my car suddenly didn’t jump at all (I drove with it the day before and it had 20 °C, so that was it I didn’t want to tow my workshop on 50km and they didn’t give me a remote diagnosis either. A friend then said, after I tried out a few things, that’s definitely the battery and gave me starter help. I then drove with all warning lights and without brake amplifiers, etc. to the workshop. They then changed the battery as trigger. However, the new battery is a little bit small and fixed with the help of a wooden block, so that it does not slip, because probably “Fiat batteries have a certain size, but it can also be done with this construction”. I was calculated now almost 70€ for the battery and 30€ service although I still have guarantee. Now to my question: Is this really okay with the battery and would I come with it also by the TÜV? And are the costs justified, where I nevertheless exchange up to the battery itself or my own. Friend had to do everything? Greetings and thanks for your answers

  • Punto with engine revolving, poor gas acceptance and illuminated tell-tale

Hello Comunity, have a big problem with my loyal Punto. It started that I was refueling and the engine didn’t get started. After trying several then went. Had on the highway and ignition dropouts And luminous motor control light that went off and on. Then I switched ignition cables ignition coils spark plugs and it went again. Just this control light always stayed out and goes on. I switched ot enger on it because there was a cable break and from some The main pump relays also went on. I changed the air temperature sensor, coolant temperature sensor, map sensor plus hose without success. The problem remains, the motor control light goes on and off, and the car is partly running at the gas. The funny thing about the whole thing is that as soon as I turn on the light the control light disappears and the car runs out of time to jerk well. I drive without light. He doesn’t run well and doesn’t take good gas. In addition, this lamp always lights up. BittrPlease help me….

  • Fiat IDEA automatic spins completely

Hello, I have the following problem with a 1.4 16V Idea vintage 2006. Currently the automatic spins, sometimes throws the gear out on idling, that is really very annoying. Besides, it comes mostly after the start when it is cold and you take the return journey so russes the whole car so, that can not be healthy. Unfortunately, the Fiat workshop no longer knows any advice, was only recently there because he had gear problems, there was something leaking and he has “hydraulic fluid” The tank with the liquid is sitting in front of the open bonnet on the left side of the battery under such a protective plate. This was cleaned, replenished, no further error detectable, then went again and the next day already again the problems. In addition, it does not always start immediately, sometimes it needs a few start-ups, but does not know if this is connected with it ? Battery came new about about 6 months ago, can ma Maybe someone knows advice, car has almost 90000km and so far no bigger problems. Greetings

  • Venting screw Drum brake torn off [188]

Moin Schrauber, “Bewerbung zum Horst des Monats” (Application for the Horst of the Month) Welded the floor plates, using the Flex to scratch a brake line. Ok, so, even whipped, line patched with a patch set that I still had (snow clamp connector). Then ‘just’ vent the rear left … screw torn off TATAAAA! (Klonk). What now? Ventilation screw I probably have in the spare cars. Can I unscrew the drum and after loosening the brake line carefully put the drum across to drill out? Have no lifting platform… and you get to drill and so on badly. Or do I have to build the thing completely apart? Or immediately new … (140.000, probably the first drum brake). I probably need a quick solution now and then it will be done right afterwards … Additional questions: – The stand in the brake fluid tank is dropped under MIN and wg. ABS & Kuplungskylinder I’ll make a head. In ‘Now I can’t do it myself, then the cutting is done?

  • Timing belt tension

Hello community, I’ve been waiting for a 2002 punto 188, 1.2 8V 60 hp. Have recently replaced the timing belt, including the clamping roller and water pump, because I don’t know when the last time was done. Before I did that, I had the old timing belt a bit strained, because I have such a dull ratter in thrust mode, which sounds as if rubber is beating against plastic. The noise is however speed dependent, not speed dependent. Because of the clamping said noise has not disappeared, however, but there was such a kind of metal looping, as soon as the engine gets warm. The noise is heard in idle run and as soon as the engine has gone off when gas is given. So it’s not continuous. Well, I thought that either the WaPu (storage) or the clamping roller will be broken. So then again, I’ve got a little bit of punishment.

  • FIAT Grande Punto (199) Engine control unit IAW 5SF9.AE defective?

Hello guys, with my Fiat Grande Punto Benziner, BJ 2014, type 199 (60.000KM), the engine control unit seems to be broken. ÖAMTC has already read it out with the result ignition oscillation on one of the four cylinders. Cables and ignition coils have also been exchanged without positive result. Now there was unfortunately no pickerl anymore since the exhaust values do not fit in idle (runs also a bit restless). Now my question: What possibilities are there to replace or repair this without the workshops fee of believe that was to cover the 1200 euro. lg to all helpers 🙂

  • Problem With Rugging Motor

So, for a long time now, there has been a problem with my Fiat Punto Van 1.2 60. The engine is very slow after that. When I press on the gas it stops again. However, the car also accelerates much slower than before, so it can’t be driven properly, when driving backwards it jerks even more strongly. I had this checked with such a motor device and there it was due to the spark plugs. They were renewed, and see, running again, I thought… After 20 min driving the same problem again. Did the car stop, after a few hours drive again and it ran again 20-25 min and then it went off again. So when the car is cold, everything seems to run great, but after a time it starts with the jerking and the “not accelerating” , so that always comes together. Could it be lying on the cable of the ignition plugs? Does anyone have any idea if it could be anything else?
