  • Fiat Punto Bj`07 1,4L Machine Head gasket change

Hello together, I had to make the head seal again shortly at a 1.4er Fiat Punto year of construction 2007! Since I am not yet familiar with Fiat yet, here a few questions about it: Is everything very expensive in everything or how long does it take approx. need special tools or is this enough for the standard equipment? what should you do everything new in this train? maybe even someone has a rep guide for it and could send me the few pages possibly? Cost point approx. in the works statistics t? parts? reward? would be great if you could help me further, am grateful for any advice! Thanks and greeting Alex

  • Purchase advice: Fiat Grande Punto

Hello, I have just registered in this forum and hope that I am right here with my concern. I am currently looking for a suitable first car for me. The study is completed and therefore nothing stands in the way of the car purchase. After a long research I strongly tend to a Fiat Grande Punto (other candidates are: Peugeot 206, Peugeot 207, Seat Ibiza and Opel Corsa). My budget is 500€. Strictly speaking, it could be more expensive. However, I think that a first car shouldn’t be too expensive – isnb. because I wasn’t lucky enough to be able to drive my parents’ car before. That’s why this is really the first car I’m going to drive (except for a driving school car). Currently I have the following offer on mobile in mind:http://suche.mobile.de/…/183391167.html Two questions: – Are 75,000km for a Fiat Grande Punto already too much? is tell me most (regardless of the car) I should not buy a car over 60,000km. – I read here in the forum that the “1.4 16V” is a “spring eater”. Would you therefore rather advise me against this car? Would I be very pleased with a feedback (like the general decision to buy a Fiat Grande Punto as a first car compared to the other listed alternatives). Thank you. Many greetings, Daniel

  • Accident – almost hit-and-run – how to deal with an accident?

Hello, on the employee parking place someone drove into our Punto, we did not assume any high damage, but now the KV is over 250€ The opponent has been caught and has already reported the damage, the debt question is now clear. But the Punto EZ 08/2005 KM 103155 black 8V Active Clima , runs risk of total damage The HDI would like an expert report, which I have ordered now, comes on Monday, how is the replacement value determined, I can hardly sleep, at mobi le.de and autoscout I find the most different values. Does anyone have experience there? LG Curly

  • Fiat Punto (2012) Start-stop without function

Hello, I bought a Fiat Punto year of construction 2012 from a Fiat dealer. At the beginning there was no problem, the first 3-4 weeks the start-stop system worked quite well. But for some time the car stopped. To my driving profile: I drive daily about 15-20km in city traffic without traffic jams to work and also back 15-20km. Once a month there is also a pure highway track of about 600km. The car is perfectly maintained check booklet and there are no control lights. The day before I was at the dealer I drove also these 600km on the highway. This has read out the error codes (No available) and the battery tested (also without fault or fault). After the approximately 600km long highway ride the battery should have had a charge level of about 50%. The dealer said this is already correct, since the light engine does not charge the battery but only the battery needs to charge, which is also consumed. However, because the battery has such a low charge level, the voltage is too low to activate the start-stop function, the dealer has recommended to buy the battery for regular battery charging.

  • Consumption at (Grande) Punto 1.4 16V, 70kW (95 hp)

Hello everyone, I wanted to get to know how drivers of the vehicle in the title of the consumption looks so far. I have already read some statements and also test reports about it and there is talk about 7l-8l/100km everywhere. Also with fuel monitor an average of 7,2l/100km is achieved and a minimum consumption of just 5,9l/100km. However, I can not quite believe this information, especially considering the fact that the vehicle is moved with us with 5,6l/100km (city traffic, country and federal roads) and even has potential down. What do your experiences look like in this regard?

  • Punto Evo AU failed

Hello together, I was yesterday with the Punto Evo (1,4 petrol) of the friend at the TÜV that she had increased 1.5 years ago.Unfortunately there was no badge because he did not pass the AU. Lambda value too high and CO value too high. (No error code and no indicator light on) Now I was in 3 workshops grossly inquire. One says certainly exhaust system leaks appointment in 2-3 weeks free to look up. 2 says completely check it speaks for false air but date is possible at the earliest in 3 weeks. The 3 says neither exhaust nor Lambda but maybe only spark plugs. I am questioned myself and thought I would ask the Fiat experts among you. Greetings

  • Car does not go to final speed

Hello new here and you since my last hope. Have the Fiat Grande Punto 1.4 8V of my acquaintances here in “care”. The following problem: car starts super running quietly, but as soon as you give full throttle the engine does not go over 3500 turns and charge control lights up briefly, then breaks down and game starts again from the front. My acquaintance had the Fiat in the contract workshop these meant 99% the throttle flap, then have for sloping 520€ a new built-in same sch… again. Then the master thought you can only try out, because my acquaintances unfortunately “try” in the workshop can not financially afford, try to help was earlier motor vehicle mechanic. Have already tried the following: – Control times vote – Crammer unscrewed thought Kat is defective – all mass connections checked and a new cable to gearbox built – hoses and ignition cables checked on marder damage – Drosselklappe was already renewed vehicle showed when reading out no fault and engine lamp not even thought of you already had this phenomenon thanks already to Alex already in the weekend?

  • Fiat Punto 188 16V 2004 Problem Ignition

Hello I need your help. From now on, the Punto has had the same drop-off and engine stock. Early in the morning in cold condition quite normal, the engine control turned a bit hot. On the way home, the one stayed on and that came into the workshop. Cylinder 4 ignition drop-outs. Control unit defective, economic total damage. The Punto is in the garage, control unit is a ME7.3H4 from Bosch, which doesn’t break so quickly and is already protected against overvoltage. Ignition cables are relatively new from Beru and 100% ok. Spark plugs now come in after 20,000 km at short distance. The ignition coil pack is damaged, look at the picture, for 15 years there inside. I suspect that the one who makes the error, however, is the right coil for cylinders 2-3 damaged and not 1-4. I suspect that the evaluation and control of the ignition only goes to the coil, since no direct ignition coils on the candles are as well as today. Cold cords and has power starts after a while. Temperature sensor, if it is warm, nevertheless, it does not show a new possibility. And it has a new problem.

  • Fiat Punto 188 Ignition oscillators

Hello I have the following problem, My car is a Fiat Punto built in 2002. I have been driving from time to time, which is not continuous, but already some times I have been strangled at the traffic lights in the last 2 months! So when I speed up full on the gas there is no problem at all only if I drive at 60 in the 4th gear at a certain gas level, it jerks down a little I think I’m going to think I’m going to have a problem with the error messages that came with me in the last 4 weeks! It was replaced about 3 months ago spark plugs, spark cable, air filter, oil filter. Does anyone have an idea what I can look at everything without buying everything new now is an older car where I don’t want to spend a lot of money. Thank you

  • Rugging and idle cold bad in Punto 188

Hi guys, I looked at the Punto of my brother-in-law yesterday. The car is a Punto of 2002. Machine with 44 kW (60hp). When it is cold, it runs slightly unround when it is idle….as if a cylinder is not running fully. In addition, in the first 30 seconds a bad gas acceptance occurs. Later it adopts normal gas. In addition, the car is slightly jerking when it accelerates. The acceleration is not constant, but there is a power hole in a certain Rottazhl (so 2000 to 2500 rpm I estimate). If it then gets quite warm, the leak hole is still hard to remember, but is still there. I have read out error code “D 0: 0.” . The error memory I have deleted. The error memory does not appear again even after longer usage time. The car has 13.000 km down (that is no typo, it really has so little down). New spark plugs are in, all filters are new and the oil is also new. Does anyone have a tip from you?
