  • Grande Punto 1.4 16v 95ps power loss and jerks

Hello together, we have been buying a used Fiat Grande punto 1.4 petrol (with 94000 km) for 6 months. After a test drive everything was good and we have found no problems. After about 4 weeks we have found out the following: When driving, whether low or high speed, whether in the city or on the highway, suddenly there is no more power. If you lift the foot from the gas pedal and step on it again, the car drives again normal. During a drive of e.g. 30 km, it comes 2-3 times, but not in a row. It is really stupid and dangerous especially if you want to drive the highway and overtake it and suddenly the power decreases. I was at 2 different workshops and got the same feedback that everything is in order. Error memory also did not show up. Now I don’t know what I still have to do. Can someone help me here. I am no expert, but I suspect that it has to do with the electric cables. Many thanks in advance! [From engine valley from the topic ‘Fiat Grande Punto 1.4 (95)].

  • Question about care and maintenance Punto

Hello everyone, I bought a Punto 188 year 2006 a few days ago, 247,000 km, LPG, trailer coupling grut basic condition, small money, some maintenance stowage. The car is now at FIAT in the brand workshop, is checked, the maintenance stowage is fixed. The car is a second car for special tasks with trailer coupling and for short distance. Mad how fast the cooling water gets warm: not 3 km, and it is at 100 °C :-). Question: is it worth the price difference with FIAT brand workshop / free workshop? FIAT is quite cheap with the part and workshop costs per se. For example, the timing belt exchange incl. water pump does not cost 600 EUR (is on behalf of the workshop). How much would free workshop be cheaper? I tried to get cost estimates – but apart from FIAT None got, which significantly shakes my confidence with the respondents.

  • Storage noise Engine

Hello Together, I have the following problem with my Punto, and that is to hear from the direction of the timing belt a grinding/squeaking bearing, it comes from the direction of the belt or spanner. Before I change everything I thought, I ask in the round if someone had this already?! Or can give me a tip Vorab, water pump can be excluded, was before and after change the same noise. Kurz zum Auto: Built. 2009 ; 1.4l 77PS ; Kilometer 24200km Here’s a video:https://youtube.com/shorts/AFcidUUK-MY?feature=share short update… because Keilripen strap down and let run, the noise is still there. Am with the Latin something at the end, especially since the tooth strap came in on Saturday incl. Spanner and WaPu, with the old strap the noise was also there. What to hell can that be?

  • Fiat Punto gears no longer go in ….coupling or what?

Moin Moin, yesterday it happened just within the first 10 meters driven Achha that the gears could not get in again? That was only possible with considerable effort. I could still switch into the third and fourth gears, but also only with resistance. In the first and second I could not switch at all, although I could put in the second a few times. Sometimes there was hardly any resistance to feel, but that was rare. I still had to start in the second or third gears in the stand with inserted third gears the engine is not strangled. Whether it would roll off without a brake on the hit clutch I did not test, and since I could only drive in the third gears I could not notice anything like that either. When the car was standing and the engine was out I could insert all gears without problems. After that started again, the problem occurs only with running engine, regardless of whether you drive or stand still circumstances. Does anyone have any idea what this could be and what a repair would cost? And what would I be afraid if I just continued driving so well it could be done under the next time of the brake.

  • Blower resistance gets hot – blower runs only on level 3

Hello guys, I tried the search and have already found a guide to my error. It’s probably a fiat disease that the ventilation is only running at the highest level. So I bought and installed a new resistance at ebay, but the problem persists. But what I still noticed is that the new resistance is getting very fast, very warm. I immediately expanded it. In another guide I found out that the blower engine should be oiled a bit. te. Did I also have, but still no improvement. Can you help me? Please, the resistance is only fixed with a screw, can it be? Mfg rocc44

  • FiatPunto 188 8V 60Ps Motor Clackers

Moin, Opas Punto with Now 125tkm make a little funny noises. Here a pair of back data when it is cold and I am in the partial load range the engine is always light so around the 2000 revolutions. Since the latest is a loud clacking also about 5s after the start to hear then it is gone. Sometimes also a belt squeaks when it is cold. When you open the hood and hear it clacks also in the stand mmn comes the noise from the direction of the belt drive or vibration damper. I have this and also noticed that this is not really round is very easy on the ice. Yesterday during the ride I noticed that the clacking can now be heard quite quietly during the ride and with increasing number of dre faster until you can not hear it from 3000. Oil he was last year Motul 5W40 re-filled the filter Sah well out.

  • Punto goes into emergency run – P0300 / P0302 / P0303

Hello community, it’s about a Fiat Punto – BJ 2010 – engine code 169A4000 a well-known.Previous story: – 3 weeks ago timing belts change completely at a workshop According to the owner, after changing the errors occurred (but I doubt it). – 2 weeks ago then due to the error the ignition coil (combist) and all 4 candles were changed by a workshop – 4 days ago was then changed by another workshop again coil with candles. h undefinable driving time and regardless of the load condition the MKL goes on. However, this goes out directly again – but what remains is the warning triangle at the speedometer. As soon as the MKL appears you notice significant power loss. After a further 2-3 minutes the engine then runs like a sack of nuts. Then when the error occurred times after the row the spark plugs off. Cylinders 1 and 4 run – Cylinders 2 and 3 not! As soon as you switch off the ignition and the engine restarts the engine runs like the one on all 4 cylinders. Error memory says: P0300 , P0302 and P0303 ! Have already read something about “ton wheel” learning?! I tried that today – no change. Now the question to the Fiat professionals – how is it best to limit the error? Cylinders 1 and 4 as well as cylinders 2 and 3 have the same work cycle, right? About your tips / help I would be very grateful because the owner has left the last few weeks really a lot of money in the workshop. would – timing belts be moved around a tooth? Say I would have to check the tax times, correct? Greetings and nice weekend I wish you, Michael

  • Problems with interior lighting

Moin, I drive a Punto from 2012 and wanted to convert the interior lighting to LED. When the LED was installed, I unfortunately generated a short circuit and after that the interior lighting was no longer possible with the original illuminant. I tested all fuses (under the steering wheel and in the engine compartment next to the battery all in order). A new used complete lamp unit was also not the solution. When I solve the plug and with the multimeter measuring 11.7v I plug in the plug and measure directly on the track it is 0 Where is the error?
