Servus, I bought my son a 97 Punto 60. Today he told me that when he stands at the traffic light, or in the stand the clutch kicks up, the engine turns up to 5000 rpm. What is this, is this a known problem? Hope here can be helped.

Vulnerabilities Fiat Punto – from BJ 2000?
Hello dear forum members My son is currently looking for his first own car. It should cost up to 3000,- Euro, not to look too bender and be reliable and economical. The Fiat Punto one of his possible candidates. So that he knows what he needs to pay attention to when buying used car: -Which are the typical weak points of the Punto from BJ 2000 (60hp)? -Is this a recommended beginner car, or a typical “gross grave” with constant repairs? Thanks for your hi Don’t!

Again a control unit history?
Hello dear forum people! I have the feeling that I’m probably the thousandth thread with the crap. I’ve read through a bit, but somehow not found the right thing.Shortly to the speed: Fiat Punto 176 1.2l 75 SX BJ.: 09.1994 HSN/TSN: 4001/662 Had a breakdown on the BAB. Gas assumption denied, speed quickly from 160kmh to 90 down, while uncoupled on the stand strip dead. Since never jumped. To a friendly mechanic brought, eternally no plausible Feh I am not aware that the car has an immobilizer, since the dashboard never started a code lamp (unless…the exact one is burned down). So ordered over the bay used ECU with identical numbers. Built in…no need. Colleagues also can’t get in with the reader. Why? But coded? I only have two blue ones. I found the ECU, then read out the ECU:Codes 40, 42, 44, 46, 48Control unit number: IAW 8F.5T/060P-11 FIAT PUNTO 1.2 CM MPI ECOL. 46425009 61600.218.07 E 12V= I don’t know that the car has an immobilizer, because in the dashboard never started a code lamp (unless…exactly the one is burned through). Key. :/ Can it be anything else? Don’t know what to do. Don’t have money for n new ECU. What do you have for experience with repairs/Holland? Thanks in advance…

New oil tank leaks Fiat Punto 176
Hello, my oil tank had changed at the 176er Punto. After about 3 days it was leaking properly and sweated a lot of oil!! I dismantled it again, cleaned it nicely and bought a reasonable seal mass (Diklo?? or so) and then dressed over cross. Now it is still leaking at the same place but less but not dense!!! I am really at a loss. Every time I drive and switch off the engine, a thin oil track runs out of this oil tank’s hull/rounding. Have I done wrong? What can it be? MfG and thank you in advance!

Do not combine exhaust gas values
Hello Did not pass the AU test at the TÜV, since it does not bring exhaust gas values. Stinks however after unburnt fuel. I changed spark plugs, Lamda probe is new, Zünkabel in order, Kat new, rest of the exhaust gas new, blows a little bit, but that can not be. Who can give me advice, what or where you can still look for, dealer are also almost all changed. I have almost 278 T`km on the engine, but he needs almost no oil and is also very economical in consumption, what could it may be, can one of you help me?

Grande Punto battery indicator
Hello, with my wife’s Punto, the problem arises that lights up the display for the bedding. But not always. Yesterday the steering was very difficult as if the servo had failed. The alternator provides enough power. If you turn off the engine and then on again, then the problem has disappeared again. But comes back from time to time. What can this be? The hander simply wanted to replace the alternator but it can’t lie at that. It’s funny that the problem doesn’t always show up every now and then. I’m grateful for tips.

Hello and good evening from Bremen. I bought a Fiat Grande Punto, approval 03/2009, 1.2 8 V and would now like to have a detailed description of the complete equipment. I have read that this should be possible via the FIN. I could not find out on the net, do I have to contact a Fiat workshop or a dealer or can someone help me here?

Motor control lamp Fiat Punto
Hello dear forum, first of all thank you for your support. I know that this question has already been described in a similar way, but the questions do not fit 100% to my question, so I ask them here again: – with my Punto the engine control light flashes on (sometimes 7 x, sometimes 12 x) – motor control light flashes ONLY when I turn up in 5th gear – “turn up” means in my case not really high speeds – flashing starts at approx. 3000x. – The blinking is EXCLUDING when I drive lightly or strongly uphill (Tempo approx.120) – When I drive up slightly, for example, there are no problems (also not at 140 and higher speed) – There are no problems when driving or similar, only the light flashes What was done: – error memory read out: – problem with the ignition – spark plugs exchanged – spark cable exchanged – valve lid exchanged (he was necessary) Unfortunately, there is no problem with the light flashes What was done: – error memory read out thanks: – problem with the ignition – spark plugs exchanged – valve covers exchanged – valve lids exchanged (he was necessary) The problem) Unfortunately, there is not the problem!

Fiat Punto 188 (BJ 2005) Noise on the axle, wheel nuts hot
Hello, I have a problem with my Punto. For some time I have had a metallic grinding from the front axle during the ride (side rather difficult to detect acoustically, tending on both sides). In addition, even after short rides the wheel nuts become extremely hot. The grinding usually only stops after a short time (if necessary because something has to warm up and then expands?) and is dependent on steering movements and the brake. he brake kicke stops it for the moment and sets up shortly afterwards again. Yesterday I drove about 15 km highway and had to steer/brake rather little and after that the wheel nuts were not very warm. After that 15km country road and city and the grinding has inserted and the wheel nuts were warm. Therefore the first guess: brake / brake caliper clamps. What I did: everything apart and looked at the blocks. Tragbild looked actually inconspicuous. Oetze cleaned and lubricated with copper paste. Guide bolts of the caliper examined: also here inconspicuous and smooth. Nevertheless, newly greased. When the tire is down, the wheel can also be rotated by hand and does not sit totally tight. The brake piston can be pushed back by hand. Challenges some effort but it works. This means for me that it can not come directly from the brake. My next guess is for this reason: wheel bearing defective. Hierb I’m a little skeptical, however, because the noise is very high frequency and metallic. Besides, it usually doesn’t occur directly at the start of the ride but only after a short time. However, steering movements influence the noise. Can a defective wheel bearing lead to an imbalance or similar of the brake discs, so that it grinds here? What is your opinion about this? Greetings Addendum: Brakes were made completely about half a year ago. Don’t know exactly how many KM there are now, but discs and KMs. Lots look good.
